Hi y'all! The Samoan pronunciation of the letter 'G' is more along the lines of 'NG'. So instead of a hard g in Mauga, it's going to sound like 'Mah-oong-ah', which means Mountain. It's really nice to see my culture being represented in Overwatch 😁

I actually find Mauga very interesting because he's unlike any villain we've seen. He seems very jovial and friendly. And we do know he has a soft spot for Baptiste since they were buddies when they were both a part of Talon.

If I remember correctly from the short story with him, he's also a bit crazy. Real happy, and especially happy when he's killing people.
Just for clarity, Mauga appeared in an Overwatch comic several years ago, which is why he says "sorry to keep you waiting" in his reveal vid.
lol I love how everyone is like "wow hes so funny and nice of him to be taking care of himself" meanwhile he in reality is just a total psycho path that is "having fun", "letting loose", and "relaxing" by brutally murdering people while sipping drinks lmfao

Mauga was definitely fun. Mauga was available for a limited time cuz blizzcon and I was tearing it ip
After that incident in his origin story, a doctor operated on Mauga, giving a 2nd “cybernetic” heart. It was also later revealed at Blizzcon that he later upgraded his organic heart as well, hence why he says “Both hearts pumping.” and also why he appears to be much bigger and stronger than his younger self in his Origin story.

I meant every ow character beomes a cyborg of some sort@@myrkrormr Literally most of the origins are the same: some guy gets hurt, repaired and then stronger and faster with a sprinkle of characterisation, for Mauga all they did was turn him evil once he got repaired🤣

@@sgarrinda6948 Since he has two hearts, he pumps more oxygen to muscles, which theorotically could explain that growth. One of the more common peformance enhancement in sports (and very illegal as well) is actually method called "Blood doping" which increases red blood cells mass to deliver more oxygen done with EPO-hormones.
You should watch the story mode, it has cinematic scenes, it's amazing
You guys should react to all invasion mission cutscenes in overwatch 2. They are snippets of the pve mode that overwatch 2 has brought along with the base game and they're pretty solid. Definitely recommend checking that out! 😊
Didn't they nix the pve mode? Remember a whole confrence about that and people getting all bent out of shape about it.

Hi, So when he say's "sei koekiki", it's a word we Samoan's say to someone, who's trying to rush off somewhere but we want them to stay and wait (especially when we drinking, Lol)....but he's very assertive with his tone, which suits the game 😊😊
I don't know if you guys gonna watch and react on all Overwatch 2 PvE (so far) Story Missions Cinematics or you gonna play it, either way highly recommended ❤.

I'd like to see you guys react to the trailers for the Switch version of Super Mario RPG. It's a remake of a Super Nintendo title that comes put soon, and I think you guys would really enjoy it.

He's Baptiste's friend who didn't leave Talon when Baptiste betrayed the organization, augmentation is very common to this world and many characters have them like Soujourn, Genji and Torbjorn for example which is why they glossed over that although his augmentation may have affected his mind adversely (like cyber-psychosis in Edgerunners coincidentally)
And though the trailer is framed light-heartedly it's not a good message being delivered here. Mauga's a terrorist and a sociopath who uses his destructive tendencies as a facade. Nihilist kind of outlook that justifies murder because he believes there is no goodness in the world and that its a playground for chaos, he's basically a more direct Joker in some respects. He has a penchant for friends though and refuses to kill people he's close to out of twisted loyalty, but everyone else is fair game.
He also uses his brash and outgoing personality to hide his tactical prowess and cunning. He's smarter than he wants you to think he is, and is counting on people underestimating his intelligence in order to gain the advantage.

I believe Ken's first pronunciation is correct. Mauga is the latest villain, and he's not just evil: he's a psychopath. Him and combat medic hero, Baptiste, fought alongside each other under Talon. Their connection was so close that Mauga was actively mentioned 4 years ago (we've been waiting that long to play him!) Bap stole Talon's tech and fled after disagreeing with the organization's brutality. Now Mauga and the rest of Talon are hunting him.

World of Warcraft: War of Within, reaction plz!!!
Name: Mauga
Role: Tank
Passive: Berserker. Critical hits grant Mauga with temporary health.
Primary Fire: Incendiary Chaingun (Gunny). A minigun with a rapid fire and tight spread. Landing consecutive shots ignites the opponent, causing damage over time.
Secondary Fire: Volatile Chaingun (Cha-Cha). A second minigun with the same stats as his primary fire, but always deals critical hits to burning opponents, regardless of where the enemy is hit.
Both guns can be fired simultaneously, but doing so widens the spread significantly and lowers their effectiveness at mid-long range. Both guns also share the same ammo pool.
Ability 1: Override. A charging attack that makes Mauga immune to crowd control effects like stuns, slows, and trapping. Pressing Primary Fire during the charge or letting the charge duration run out causes Mauga to do a small leap before he slams into the ground. Landing directly on an enemy will stun them briefly while any enemies near Mauga are sent flaying back a shot distance. This ability can be canceled by pressing the ability button again.
Ability 2: Cardiac Overdrive. Mauga puts both his hearts into overdrive, giving himself and nearby allies damage resistance and lifesteal buffs for a short time.
Ultimate ability: Cage Fight. Mauga places down a device that attaches itself to any enemy in line of sight, including himself, while putting up a cylindrical barrier that blocks all enemy projectiles. Anyone trapped in this ultimate cannot move past the barrier and cannot use any movement abilities. Mauga also gains unlimited ammo during the ultimate.

Honestly a real shame what happened to this game. They have such great story telling but it all feels like a slap in the face when they gutted the pve half of the game when the whole point of Overwatch 2 was to sell the pve half of the game. Guess the Chinese market got screwed too. Kind of earned that 11% positive on Steam even though that was review bombing.

Mauga has a lot of lines mentioning keeping the players waiting in his trailer because he was actually teased a long time ago, and was expected to release when Ramattra did. Just a little bit of cheek from Blizzard since they released him a little later than we expected.

I've been calling him Maw-Gah, I've heard others call him Maow-Guh, but apparently it's pronounced 'Ma-Oon-Ga' but like 'Mahnga' (also Echo calls him Maowma hilariously enough).
