Best video I swear I’ve watched a ton of videos and never got the correct way! Thank you! It’s you have to turn the fly wheel?? Like how you showed actually where it is and that’s the difference between lames with views and you my friend! Thanks again!
For any kind of engines and sealant you have to use reinzosil silicone, it's the best out there and most of the shops are using it. Don't put a very thick layer.
@HOWTODO0828 thanks for the super quick reply! So basically it's no difference to the sump plug? Common sense tight? Iv not torqued a sump plug in years. You get a feel for it.
No, you don't need to do anything to the gearbox, only the engine mounting supports, but if you want to do it and feel that it's easyer if you loose them a bit then do it🙏
Hello, I removed the screws from the bottom and I lifted the engine up with the jack, the mountings from the engine came out completely from theyr place.
@@HOWTODO0828 Great video, thank you! Did you lift the engine from the gearbox, where your jack is seen in the video 00:30? -that was enough to lift the engine with the engine mount bolts undone from the bottom of the mounts? Did you also remove the snub mount at the front?
@@HOWTODO0828 dude, I welded my oil pan almost 10 years ago and it was all good. and not once, but twice on my lowered car. you don't know what you are talking about

Que tal, una pregunta los últimos tornillos que pusiste en el volante realmente se ocupan quitar para desmontar el carter?
Saludos
Yes. All I showed in this video must be done to remove the oil pan.
Would have been best to show the actual removal of pan. I think
That's the best I could film at the moment!
What kind of silicon did you use on the video ? I reealy aprecciate your response cause a have my passat, but im trying to find wich silicon use

very helpful video,🙂
Thank you for the support 🙏
Did you remove only the engine mount screws, or together with the transmission mount screws?
Only the engine mount screws. But you could lose up just a little bit the transmission mount screws just to be safe.
@@HOWTODO0828 your are the best, thank you
Thank you that fly wheel of course
You're welcome my man🙏
Dude if you be so kind to share your opinion the pan went on well but in jacking the engine could I have misaligned the clutch plate or damage it
No man, you don't misaligned anything, why do you say this? The clutch it's not operating right anymore?
No sir she won’t engage at all it happened a day or so after the new pan was in and then nada
It doesn't have anything to do with the oil pan, probably you just need new clutch and it happened to be now
What's the torque specs for the sump bolts buddy?
I don't have them, but should be somewhere around 10 nm my friend, just make the snug and don't force to much
@HOWTODO0828 thanks for the super quick reply! So basically it's no difference to the sump plug? Common sense tight? Iv not torqued a sump plug in years. You get a feel for it.
Do you need to lose the gearbox mounting points too????
No, you don't need to do anything to the gearbox, only the engine mounting supports, but if you want to do it and feel that it's easyer if you loose them a bit then do it🙏
Hi did you just screw loose the two nuts at the engine mounts and jack up the engine?

I didn't remove the mounting Suport for the gearbox. But if you are able you can do it just to be in the safe none
Aluminium cannot weld? 🤔
No really, and it safe to replace it because it's not so expensive

Glad to hear this. 💪
Won't work for 1.9 Tdi
The car on wich I removed it was 1.9 tdi engine code avf
Did you remove the fuelpump?
Which fuel pump?
Do you know the torque specs on the 10mil nuts and 16mils?
Sorry mate, I don't know the torque specs for that. Keep searching on the internet, you'll probably find something.
