I was 10 when I first played the original, Air Combat. Oddly enough it was released in North America 10 days prior to my 10th Birthday. Now I'm approaching 38, wondering when we'll see the next big title of the franchise. Crazy to think they started making these games more than a quarter of a century ago.
I'd wager a good way to train is to just stick behind Mr. X. EZ enough to not die to him, but keeping your nose on him is quite difficult. Gave my thumbs a workeout when i was doing the MiG-21 guns only challenge.
If you use expert controllers then you are pretty good. Not calling out anyone who uses novice controls, god forbid a war between the two extremes happens because of my comment.
Reminded me of a video of a dude in a SU-33 in DCS who pulled a sideways cobra maneuver to evade a incoming missile from an enemy while launching his own missile, he got a direct hit on the enemy...
I think what comes the closest imo is Graham Acre' Solbrave squadron going up against the ELS to save celestial being.... That's just me. Anyone else have an input?
1:54 is god tier. Holy crud. Amazing work dude. I can't even imagine how much replay work you had to do to get these shots and your attention to detail is incredible. If you don't already know, you can save a lot of time in replays by using Cheat Engine's in-built speed hack. The settings allow you to fast forward. I have a hotkey that goes to 30x, another for 1x, and several different slow motion options. Another trick you can do to get maximum FPS on a video is to record something in slow motion and then increase timescale in post. Leads to buttery smooth video.
Is movement like this actually possible in game? He seems to slingshot himself around here, but afaik there is no drift / sliding, you have 1-to-1 control.

No one seems to have mentioned the PSM in the tunnel at 2:22 - incredible. Also the gun hits at 1:35. Incredible editing, I wouldn't like to think how many gigabytes of storage the raw footage took up to get these shots. Also, I don't even know how he's achieved 1:43, presumably a camera mod.
For the last one, I think replay mode (which appears once you complete the mission) probably would have done it. I’m more impressed at the flying skill it takes to weave between the columns.
I can't get over how good this is. Summarizing some of AC7's plot points as a backbone for this is what makes this a step up over the rest of any fanmade cinematics/MVs that've seen of late. Ending it with camera panning Falken taking down the Arsenal Bird is just cherry on top!

This video should have more views. Your editing and gameplay is godtier, especially 1:54 like other people said, but personally I like how Sol 1 flew and blocked the sun flare at 1:00 It's really good cinematic video and I hope you continue to make this kind of video in the future.

1:42 was actually supposed to be happen in mission 11 but the dev decide cut it for plot reason That's why you always hear the enemy keep wishing and saying Experimental Squadron to show up in mission 11
Mihaly is the true defenition of insane and/or dangerous due to his flight style he will fly through a frickin type 5 hurricaine just to kill a pilot and/or trigger
This is absolutely incredible. Would be even more so if you dial mixed it with Vincent Moretto’s metal remix of Archange. I swear, that would be the best thing ever.
I hope you’ll do this for your next cinematic. We don’t get a lot of Ace Combat dual mixes, and I think Vincent Moretto has great dual mix material. As always, amazing work. Awaiting your next upload.
The unrealistic physics of Ace Combat is what makes it special I hate how many people just hate the game when games are expected to have some sort of reality defying feature
even with all of those training... I don't think a blood-restrained being can fight against a bloodless bag of meat that can out-maneuver a damn fighter drone
i love this game greatly and really hope they make a part 8, im looking forward to it i have played this game a long time and greatly enjoyed it over the years

The tunnel PSM had me wondering what kind of Belkan Witchcraft I was watching. Bet even the drone was decrying that move in binary swear words.
