- In this video i test the difference between the most premium golf balls that mizuno do which is the RB TOUR against the cheapest golf balls that mizuno do, the rb 566. I want to know if there really is any difference and what do you get for your money! Are these golf balls as good as titleist pro v1 or callaway chrome soft or even taylormade tp5 ?

I tried these balls in winter in New York and found them to feel hard in cold temps, but great when it was warmer. I use Kirkland in the winter now and Srixon Q star tour or Z star otherwise. Cheap when on discount and excellent performance
I've been using the RB566 when the weathers bad and the greens are soft, its a great ball.
You're keeping your grip pressure a 3 back down and through. That's why you're playing so well. It works. I love that video you did. I became a little bit more consistent. And it seemed like it was just overnight by just following those rules getting better every time I go out 😆excited

I was using Volvik Vivid balls but have just switched to Mizuno RB566 in yellow in three for two deal you showed. Absolutely fantastic ball and decent spin for a two piece ball.
PAUL hi have you tried the WILSON DUO BALL ? for a Rabbit golfer from 15 upward they are ideal , distance is pretty good and with various colours I like the orange and then yellow . Or even Bridgestone yellow again cheap as balls go for handicap.
Yes I’ve tried the Wilson’s and Bridgestone e6 and many other soft balls. I saw the rb566 deal at Clubhouse golf and thought why not. So far not dissapointed
Callaway Supersoft Tru-Viz Cant tell big differences of any name brand ball with Driver or Irons, but I prefer the Supersoft chipping and putting. The Tru-viz colors make it easier to find especially in winter.
I am so bad it doesn't matter what I use 😂 but I prefer Taylor Made Soft Response in Summer and Titleist Velocity in Winter.
It's funny how things have changed. In the early 80s the premium ball was Top Flite and the cheaper version was Pinnacle Gold. Everyone used them. The louder they were off the putter face, the better. 😁 I can remember the fuss about the dimple pattern on the Dunlop DDH.
My favourite was the Precept EV in the 90's. Stopped on a sixpence and lasted well. I shall stop now as I'm boring myself!!

I have played both balls. They are not to bad. I am across the pond, but put me in the drawing anyway.

Using Callaway ERC triple tracks, Would like to try them as no one sells in town. Have to get to the Capital city in S.A Aussie golfer in the bush! Sometimes find a mizuno when I lose one , good ball though.
Vice pro plus in the good weather and the callaway super soft in the winter. Loving the content. Keep up the good work.

Hi Liam, you're in great shape! Can't wait to see the Slovakia adventure! Since last year I've been using the kirkland. I love the spin they have. They're cheap so they mark easily. I keep playing them until I lose them or feed the fish but a more picky player would throw them away after 4 or 5 holes. I honestly like the mizuno brand. My driver is mizuno and I will definitely give a try to the RB 566. Will let you know. Mizuno I want your balls!
Mazuno, I would like to play your golf balls to compare with others myself, review carried out by Liam is as fair as possible under these conditions
I use white shinny & round golf balls.
I luv putting w/Maxfli DT-100 Balata (1993)
Bridgestone, Srixon, Titleist respond the best my game but I'll play anything white shinny and round. But no Pinnacle or Callaway ERC, rocks they are. I've never hit a Mizuno golf ball, irons yes: MP-60 Muscle Cut (fun stuff), MP-68 (sweet) & T-ZOID Pro II (currently).

😊Im only a 20 handicapper but a ball snob as well Liam….I shopped at Sports Direct and picked up 12 Callaways CXR for £18, they lasted me 2 rounds 🤦🏼♂️
I could of bought 24 Slazengers V soft for £18 also.
All me mates would be saying when throwing the balls up or “what you playing with” when im hunting for it.
Im an absolute weapon, need to suck it up and buy cheap 🫣
The expensive ball companies are all concerned with companies like Costco producing quality balls for a fraction of the price. I’m pretty certain if the balls were all unmarked, we’d all discover favorites that would surprise. But we’d then change our minds when the labelling and pricing gets revealed.
As an economist, I would explain that the price a company charges for any product is primarily based upon what they can get the consumer to pay (that’s why they advertise) and not on the quality of the product (despite any claims to the contrary).
It’s hard not to get conned by the price or the advertising. You got it right at the end - play what you feel comfortable with and can afford and ask yourself the question “is the extra five yards worth double or even triple the price - especially if it’s five yards further into the rough?!”
I tried these balls but went back to
the Srixon AD333. I found the Mizuno a bit harder when chipping and off the putter face 👍
I've spent some time evaluating the AD333 against the RB566 and have come out of it with a preference for the Mizuno ball. I have found the Srixon ball to be ever so slightly longer, but the much better spin/stopping performance of the Mizuno ball, has clinched it for me.
I think if you gave eBay and mr Barlow a cheap ball each to play 5 holes with, would make a good video to see if they would actually score any worse ?
I'm a scratch golfer, I can use any modern golf ball and shoot under par. These modern golf balls and clubs make the game extremely easy.

I was using the Wilson Staff Duo Soft Spin balls but Wilson took them off the market..Go Figure..Luckly I bought 4 boxes before they did it..Had a hunch...Thanks for this review..

Currently use pro V1 for feel around the Green and pitting
Titleist Tru-feel for me. Cheaper by miles than a Pro-v1, and the difference at my level is negligible. Always nice to use Pro-v1's when it's my birthday or Christmas, but the fish don't mind what I feed them on my course 😂. Mizuno. I want your balls.
TBF I like a a Prov1 or x or a Taylormade TP5 but my favoured ball was the TP3 which are hard to find now

When Callaway brought out the triple track ball my friend, Callaway agent gave me two boxes and I have used them ever since. Great ball and good visual with the triple track. Even line it up for my driver

Mizumo, I want your balls! My pro told me recently to switch to 'Soft feel' balls as I swing slow, and it's made a difference. Haven't tried RB566's , but will do when I win the give-away! (I can dream, can't I?). Let's be honest, if you play rubbish, any ball will do! Cheers.
Any soft balls suit my game, when I hit the harder ‘feel’ balls it seems like I’m striking a snooker ball. Because I’m a bit wayward I find a lot of balls while searching for mine.
I’ve been using Kirkland’s V2, but recently switched to Trust Aurora and absolutely love them. Great off the driver and irons from the tee, awesome around the greens and feel really soft putting.

I bought 3 boxes of the cheap ones and ended up giving 2 away. Just didn't like them. Chrome soft for summer and Supersoft for winter. Had my second hole in one yesterday with my chrome soft and Apex DCB iron.

I’m still chomping through my duo softs. At my low level I reckon I can use Slazengers and still be ok.
PAUL HERE LIAM, IT does not matter what make what price, but shops like golfers all, yes me included, buy clubs that we the golfer can not get the best out of us, Take me I found a driver that suited me at times hitting 290 plus best 298 and yet only had it a year because it sounded like shaft under grip had broke and something in head was loose inside , a shame driver sub zero MAVRIK .Then latest ping I nearly broke because they stuck a ladies shaft in it and too flexible so now in one year I have the driver sort of I wanted the ROGUE but it the ROGUE D .

I'm not accurate enough to worry about which ball to use. Usually, I hope I find a Prov1, then I don't have to think I'm losing £4/5s worth when I inevitably lose it 😂

I can hit any ball! And I'm always in the 60's. Then i start the back 9 and normally finish in the 50's. I'm a beast on the course i can even drive 400 yards and get out the golf cart to hit my 8th stroke for the hole. I really should take up fishing.

I used the RB566 winter before last, and like it a lot - that deal looks a bargain.
I use TP5x in summer and I use Seed equivalent in the winter
Mizuno RB556!!! Got my first HIO with it. They're not leaving my bag any time soon.
Use wilson soft duo-most distance and feel so good.
In summer I use Callaway Super Soft and in the winter Srixon AD333. If I could choose one, it would be the Srixon. I'm not good enough to appreciate a premium ball.
Hi Liam. Srixon Z- Stars in the summer and found balls and scuffies in the winter.
I've tried both and you do feel like a better connection with the RB tour but still like both.
I still play the pro v1, love the feel and around the green performance
I play TM noodle most of the time its cheap and soft,when then greens get firm and fast I play a Bridgestone brx

here's an idea you play against OMP or Mr Barlow, you use your best balls and they use the cheapest balls you can find and lets see who wins over 6 holes.
I typically use the Callaway Supersoft. But, hear me out lol, I've tried the Pinnacle Rush ball in the summer recently and I have been really surprised by it. It's great off the tee, decent with irons, and surprisingly it putts well. Shocked me.

Interesting test. I don’t even see Mizuno golf balls where I shop for golf supplies in the U.S., but I have tried different premium balls like Pro V’s and Bridgestones, hard & Soft, etc, and didn’t see significant difference.
But I will say - Mizuno, I want your balls!
I've been playing slazenger soft balls ,cheap as chips better strikes and shots than those playing with a pro v1 , tour players will play with whatever there sponsor tells them to play with.

Mizuno i want your balls! I have tried both and the only difference is when putting. The cheaper ball is slightly harder but still good by comparison to other balls in that price range.

I have been using the Mizuno RB566 through the winter but I can’t buy them here in NZ anymore (frustrating).
Mizuno golf balls are actually quite good. One TH-cam equipment testing channel (TXG?) called the tour ball a White elephant, high spinning but exceptionally long driver distance.
Only issue I have with them is durability.

I tend to use Srixon Q-Star mid price in summer, any anything in winter.
And that was a trombone u was playing, not a trumpet.
I won a sleeve of the 566 at your Charity day and used them last Monday at Nefyn. A bit hit and miss for me. Putted the best I've ever putted, but when I did not compress them with the irons they felt awful. Quite hard and clicky. But then I played nett -2 to my handicap over 27 holes. Would still buy the AD333 I think, but might give them another go to see if it was just the course that made me play well. (Aside - how great is Nefyn? Played the Point Course and absolutely loved it! Could not stop smiling.)

To answer your question - when dry I use a Vice Tour and after some prolonged rain a Titleist Tour Soft.
I used to play with premium balls, but practice with whatever crap i found around the course. Then i realised my scores were no different with prov1's in proper rounds compared with my score in practice rounds with the rubbish i found in the rough (and i am talking topflite rubbish). So do i think playing a cheap new distance ball will effect my scores? No, not even slightly. I am a 7 handicaper and i think scatch is the absolute minimum you need to get to before your choice of ball actually makes any difference at all

I shot 79 last week with an old scabby Topflite XL2000 that I found the day before while searching for my usual ball, a proV1x. Not broken 81 for over 12 months with the Titliest 🤦♂️😆

I have not played the RB566 very much, but I did find one earlier this year. The one round where I tried it, I thought it was a great ball. For my slower swing speed, it jumped off the club, and it felt good around the greens. I was impressed. Mizuno. I want your balls.

My problem is I play too many differe t balls. One family member will give a dozen of Titleist Velocity and someone will give me a dozen of Callaway Super Soft and then Dick Sporting Goods run a special on the Maxfli Tour balls. So on and so on. I would love to try these, so.....
