Thanks Rick - we messed up not sending a bag didn't we? So much of choosing equipment comes down to personal preference - sensitivity / perception of feel. Putter is a good example. One thing we didn't expect you to say was that you didn't like the feel of the MCRAFT. But respect it didn't feel right to you. Thanks again for the piece - we'll keep believing we can make the very best of everything (we make baseball bats, judo suits, football boots and running shoes after all). Just wouldn't expect anyone to own all of it at once.
Mizuno Golf This was a Masterclass of a response. I happen to game the JPX 900 driver and 3 wood, MP18 (blades 7-Pw, SC 5-6, and Flihi 2-3) with T7 wedges. I’m likely the super fan Rick mentioned but each club earned its place in the bag vs competitors. Cheers to your team for continuing put out great products, now and in the future.
Agree with Justin Dobson here, very classy response. Just purchased your JPX 921 hot metals as they were by far the best feeling irons I hit during my fitting, and I tried all of the top brands offerings. Keep up the great work, I understand now why the phrase 'nothing feels like a Mizuno' exists.
Very class response. Wore Mizuno baseball cleats for years and just got into golf. Picked up an ST180 driver second hand yesterday and can’t wait to give it a rip. Might not be a super fan but I love the products and craftsmanship.
@@RickShielsPGA Fair review. I've gamed Mizuno in the big stick and irons but haven't tried their fairways or wedges. Been curious about the golf balls.
Love mizuno, im more a budget golfer that's just been getting into the game over the last year. Bought myself some JPX 900 hot metals and have been absolutely loving them!
Well I really have to throw my two cents in here, I'm a huge Mizuno fan. I'm a senior golfer with a nine handicap two years ago I was fitted for Mizuno irons. I chose the " hot metal " model and they were fitted with Mamiya recoil stiff shafts. I just love these irons, great feel and feedback, the only exception is my driver. I use a Cobra F8 with a regular flex shaft, the feel off the Cobra suits me better than the Mizuno driver. I ordered a dozen Mizuno RB Tour X golf balls and I was shipped the wrong balls. They shipped the Mizuno MP-X in error, no big deal, I've never played a Mizuno ball until this morning that is. I honestly must say that this golf ball simply went way beyond any expectations, what a great ball, I'm totally sold. Distance was excellent, great feel off the face of the driver. I just missed the fairway with my tee shot on our tenth hole, my ball was sitting down in the rough, I hit a high eight iron from 147 yards. My ball landed just left of the pin jumped about four feet and stopped dead. I'm going to play this ball now, with tax in the cost is approx. $ 40.00 ( Can. ) fantastic value for such a quality ball. I can't offer an opinion on the Mizuno Tour ball as I haven't tried it ,, but I will ,, great job Mizuno but I wouldn't expect anything else ,,
Rick, I'd love to see you do more videos like this; full set of Cleveland clubs with a premium ball, full set of Wilson Staff, etc. Would be interesting to see more stuff other than just what the Big 3 has to offer. Cheers!
I’ve hit the new mizuno driver. The st 200 g and it was beautiful. Loved the look behind the ball and the feel was great. Best of the ones I hit in my opinion
Luv the fact that you stay imparcial. Otherwise temptation and small little comments about the brand that sponsors you are inevitable. Just inevitable. Great job on that!
I just picked up the Mizuno ST190 Driver and Fairway Wood. Absolutely in LOVE with them. I am a HIGH handicap golfer (15+) and the biggest area I struggle in is driving. There are still a ton of things I need to work on, but the driver and wood are so much more forgiving, I find I am hitting them straighter and on target, which is really helping my over all game.
I put my TaylorMade Mc's in the closet a couple of months ago and started hitting my old Maxfli Australian Blades from college for a few rounds. This rekindled my love for blades. I just last week put a new set of Mizuno MP 20 blades in my bag for this year as well as a T20 52 degree gap wedge. Can't wait for the weather to get warmer.
Mizuno iron fan boy here. 16' jpx Ez forged in nickel black. 🖤 So crisp and pure feeling. Hope to get good enough through the premium advice I've received from this channel to move into some mp20s some day. Haven't bothered with anything else in their line. Thank you for the comprehensive insight into their other products.
I’ve used Mizuno gear in the past and they’ve always performed for me. I had a couple of the Bettinardi putters, they were gorgeous. Had MP30 irons when I first broke 80. Used a Mizuno MP001 fairway wood for years and the last set of wedges I had were black T4 wedges that my son still uses, great wedges! I also had their previous tour ball, the MP-S and it was perfectly fine. Just as good as any other tour caliber ball. I honestly think that a lot of the reason you don’t see more Mizuno gear in peoples bags boils down to 1) marketing 2) tour endorsement 3) basic awareness
I want to say thank you for taking your time to teach us and giveing advice!👍 It really helps out alot and I have been breaking 80 regularly. Needless to say I am verry happy with what you have told me. It would be awesome to be able to play with you someday Rick. 🤙 Thank's again! Justin Hensley
Excellent assessment! I put the ST200 in the bag after demoing the TS2 and M5 for quite a while and I couldn’t be happier 6 months on. I also had the M craft 2 in the bag for a bit but I was disappointed with its performance as you mentioned so I back in the bag went my Scotty. Keep up the great work 👍🏻
I've had my Mizuno Bettinardi C-06 putter for a few years now, and I don't think I'll be changing it any time soon, absolutely love it. I'm also gaming the Mizuno MP-18 MMC Fli-Hi 2 iron as my driving iron, really great club as well.
Love my Mp20 and T20 wedges, my current driver is almost 10 years old so a little overdue for a new one, that st200 has caught my eye. I love Mizuno, but I dont think you should ever play a full set of one brand, the odds of it all fitting you correctly are very small. Love the vids Rick keep it up.

“I’ve never seen anyone play with mizuno balls” * matthew mcconaughey voice* I’ve been playing with mizuno golf balls before I got paid to play with them.
Great video again Rick. I play all one brand (Cobra) apart from my old dad's putter but only because they give me similar numbers for a lot less money! Cheers
i dont play mizuno anything in baseball but im still a mizuno golf fanboy lol. i play second hand mp59s and just picked up the st190 3 wood. they just do what i want them to.
I absolutely love my GT-180 driver! I was between that or the rouge driver back in the day and playing with it to this day 2 years later; it still plays like the day I first played with it! I probably won’t hit another driver to be perfectly honest it just hits so well!
Renently got some JPX919 Forged irons after upgrading from a 10 year old Callaway Razr X set and the mizuno's feel like heaven. I actually went into the shop with my heart set on some P790's but after trying a few brands (ping and titleist as well as mizuno and tm) the JPX919's felt the best by far. The performance then reflected that after i'd settled down after hitting a few shots. They gave me so much confidence. I've never spent so much so easily in one go. I had to make sure they were coming with me when i left the shop.
They're amazing clubs. I'm on my second set and love them. I love the ability to seamlessly mix a set with more forgiving longer irons and a driving iron. I've played their woods before and they are absolutely top notch too.
I was fit into JPX919 forged irons last year and absolutely love them, hadn’t intended on getting wedges but tried the Mizuno S18’s and they performed and felt incredible and been in the bag since, I’ll always consider Mizuno wedges from now on
Hi Rick, great video! I've been playing an all-Mizuno bag for years, including the ball and actual bag. Granted, I used to work for Mizuno Golf in Scandinavia 😎 But still, I couldn't be happier with irons and wedges. They are truly phenomenal! The RB Tour ball is good, and so was the old TP Tour. I've just recently added a Cobra F8+ driver to the bag, but now the new ST200 got me thinking of going back to the mothership again 😅
What?!?? The M craft putter is AMAZING. It feels so good! I went to a PGA Superstore and tested all the new putters and the standouts were the Bettnardi BB1, Scotty Cameron Newport 2 AND the Mizuno M Craft 2 (I bought it). To each their own, but I think a putter review of those 3 would be a great video!
Funny you say that... I went to the PGA Superstore 2 weeks ago and bought a Scotty Cameron Newport 2 as well (I've always wanted a Scotty). But between then and yesterday, I've been seeing the blue M Craft 2 a lot. I went back yesterday "just to look" and ended up buying that putter as well. Funny thing, the M Craft feels just as good as the Scotty, and the grip on the M Craft is MILES better in my opinion. I'm not returning the Scotty, so now I'm left with keeping the M Craft which I really like, or returning it because I have no real need for it. And if I return the M Craft 2 and play the Scotty, how much of a sin would it be to throw a Lamkin grip on the Scotty?
Last year I bought a sleeve of Mizuno tour golf balls. I holed out a 158 yard iron shot from the fairway. It felt very good, quite straight, slightly lower flight than I like. You could tell it was a premium ball.
Had the opportunity to hit the ST200 series yesterday. Absolutely loved them. Had my spin down under 2800 which is an accomplishment given my current driver numbers! Can hardly wait to test a couple different shafts. A prominent candidate for my bag.
I was very excited to hear about the RB Tour balls last year when they first came out. I bought the first dozen I saw at the local store and immediately played them. I must say, I was very disappointed I had cover damage with as little as one hit. I have never had the type of cover damage I saw on those balls. I ended up trashing half of that dozen due to damage. I love their irons and wedges but I went back to the Pro V1 after that experience.
Great video Rick! I have been using a Mizuno st180 driver that I picked up second hand and built a shaft for it spect for me for the last two months and it’s been awesome. It’s by far the best driver I’ve owned, and I’ve owned ALOT of them! I will continue to use mizuno drivers for as long as I golf and highly recommend other people at least give them a go.
Just recently switched to mizuno golf balls. Love the soft feel around the green and off the irons. My brother had a mizuno putter I used to borrow but it disappeared. Looking to get a new one hopefully one day.
Just as a side comment, my best friend was scheduled for a club fitting (complete) so I forwarded many of your club reviews to him to help him understand each club manufacturer/performance prior to his fitting.
Very good video I enjoyed it thoroughly. My irons are the mp60 that was an anniversary gift over 12 years ago and I still enjoy hitting them. I recently bought the st190 driver and find it to be awesome as well. I totally agree with you on the putters-I still have a Bettinardi mallet putter that’s been replaced. I have used mizuno products in baseball as well and their products have actually always been top notch for me. Thanks again for this video but now I need to try the wedges! 🤨😄
Yeah i saw that review too, plus some others so I thought Rick's comments were a bit odd. Putter is made from forged carbon steel, same as the irons so you would think the putter should feel like butter.
@@stewarth794 well first off learn how to speak coherently, secondly my average carry with my m3 is 288ish at the moment and thirdly you can find my state tournament records, Hooters tour made cuts from back in the day and omg I even have a pga instructor certification..... BUT I'M THE GUY THAT WILL GIVE YOU MY ADDRESS, PAY FOR YOUR ROUND AND SPOT YOU 10 SHOTS ON A 1000$ BET... SO PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT TO TAKE ME UP ON THAT
Great Video Rick. Agree with you on the putter but anybody using the rest of the clubs must be so pleased with themselves. They all look fabulous and from the reviews from yourself and others you can’t go far wrong from driver to lob wedge with mizuno. My next set of irons will be mizuno. I’m in the market for a new driver and I was all about the speed zone/F9 or the ping g410 but this is now one I want a look at too.
Never seen anyone use mizuno golf balls . The blue wedges look class so does the new driver they always make great looking irons. Superb review as always Rick
Stop trying to aim digs at crossfield with quotes such as ‘I would never take a sponsorship deal because I like to stay impartial’. Crossfield love him or loath him was the one who started golf on TH-cam and we should always respect him for that.
Couldn’t agree more. I’m playing the JPX 919 Forged irons, the T20 wedges, and will be trying out the ST200 within the next 2 weeks. But sticking with the Pro V1.
The Mcraft putter is my dream putter. It’s sadly too much for me, so I decided to watch videos on it for fun and saw this! Didn’t realize you’d made this video and was thrilled Just saw you’re review of the putter and it’s a little bit of a bummer to hear you say that since that’s the exact model and color I’d pick but I’m not deterred. From what ive seen and looked at it still looks like the putter for me, so someday!
Nice one Rick, First tee and yes I use a Mizuno golf ball, along with a set of Mizuno irons, driver and 3 wood, am I pleased yes sir. Keep up the good work, no matter what bag is on your back.
I got Mizuna JPX 919 forged clubs and i love them. The best clubs i have own until now. Also got the Mizuna ST180 driver, i like it alot and i see better performance with that than my old Taylormade driver. I have also tried the Mizuna balls, they are nice. I like the look of them but i have had better overall golfballs. Wedges and putter are from Titleist and Ping and i would probably not swap them for Misuna. Its good to have more brands in the bag, just try to find the one that you like playing with. But a great review from you Rick and looking forward to the next one.
Just started using my new Mizuno M2 putter. It looks and feels so good, it gives me wonderful feel for putt length, I did not 3 putt for almost 2 whole rounds (tiredness was the reason really), and I used to 3 putt many times each round. For me, the cost was very worth it
Brilliant review Rick. No one out there is reviewing Mizuno like this. Mizuno are not easy to find to demo. Rick beating every TH-cam reviewer to the punch... again 🥊 🥊
Excellent video. Being a Mizuno iron fan I really enjoyed your appreciation for the current clubs that I am gaming (MP 20 and HMB). I have played in the past two Miz drivers and were ok (S300 and MP1), but I believe the new ST200is hot and worth give it a go. The balls are good as well but honestly is it so hard to stay away from Titleist on this department... An interesting and honest video. Keep it up Rick!
I just bought the ST-Z driver after demoing for a few rounds. Got the st190 3 wood and the MP-H5’s from a few years back. Only thing not mizuno in my bag are wedges putter and balls, I love the ones I have.
I have had the mp20 mmc irons and 4x t20 wedges in for a while now. Wedges are spot on and irons are pure! Also my first ever set of Mizuno irons/wedges that ive put in my bag
I have been using a st180 driver and 3 Wood for a year now, love them hitting over 80% of fairways and as long as I ever have been thinking of changing to the 200
I play Mizuno irons. The ability to hit your distance most times is a big plus. It gives you confidence to go for pins rather than just knocking it onto greens. ⛳️
Last year I used an an entire bag of PING and my handicap lowered from 21 to 15 at season end. Not all credit to the clubs, but getting fit into the top end of the bag--FW and Hybrids--played the biggest role. This year I may attempt the same challenge with Titleist.
Rick, I had a 50* T7, 54 S18 and 60 S18 Mizuno wedges. I still have the 50* T7 and love it since it blends well with my Mp18 irons. However, I found the S18 wedges to play less bounce than labelled (assuming the rest of the industry is accurate in their marking of bounce) and, most of all, the leading edge would blunt in the ground. I also found they had lighter head weights than Vokey SM7's, which created inconsistency in my game. Currently have SM7, not a fan boy, but the leading edge is what I like and the weight is perfect. Cheers.
Question about making a combo set like this, considering the difference in lofts isn't there a big gap when you jump from the blade portion of the bag to the more forgiving portion? Like a 7 iron in the chunkier club must go way farther than the 8 iron blade right?
*LIKE* this comment if you think I should have used a Mizuno bag 😂

I'm actually looking to upgrade my irons to Mizuno for a few years now. This might push me over the edge and pull the trigger!
Im a low marker and i finally got fitted for jpx919 tours. Pure! The feel is great. Definitely try a few is my suggestion.
Granted, I used to work for Mizuno Golf in Scandinavia 😎
But still, I couldn't be happier with irons and wedges.
What about the bag?? :)
That blue finish on the putter and the gap wedge is gorgeous.
Love my mizuno putter, I’ve found a few mizuno golf balls but never used one
Last year I bought a sleeve of Mizuno tour golf balls. I holed out a 158 yard iron shot from the fairway. It felt very good, quite straight, slightly lower flight than I like. You could tell it was a premium ball.
The putters arent available for lefties so I will match my spider with my TM bag 😊
Your spider is way better than that blue shit if we're being real lol
Rick you don't disappoint. Honest informative and unbiased again. You are the David Attenbough of all things GOLF. All the best Pete
Great vid Rick close to first 😂❤️💪
Love the looks of a Mizuno finished the vid and loved it 👌❤️
Had the opportunity to hit the ST200 series yesterday. Absolutely loved them. Had my spin down under 2800 which is an accomplishment given my current driver numbers! Can hardly wait to test a couple different shafts. A prominent candidate for my bag.
Rick i love the videos.. But did you really use a Taylormade bag for all mizuno clubs?😂
Yeah haha!
I balanced it out I've gamed a mizuno bag and Taylormade clubs for years 😂
I was very excited to hear about the RB Tour balls last year when they first came out.
Great video Rick. Love the original idea.
Thanks
Great video Rick! I have been using a Mizuno st180 driver that I picked up second hand and built a shaft for it spect for me for the last two months and it’s been awesome. It’s by far the best driver I’ve owned, and I’ve owned ALOT of them! I will continue to use mizuno drivers for as long as I golf and highly recommend other people at least give them a go.
i just bought a set of mp5 irons. i love them, "nothing feels like mizuno"
Im a 20 handicap golfer and use a combo mp20 set (3&4 hmb, 5-7mmc, 8-pw mp) and a 50 t20.
Love all these clubs feel so nice to hit with.
Looks like I made a right decision. I'm using mizuno irons and wedges, the best of mizuno .
Just recently switched to mizuno golf balls. Love the soft feel around the green and off the irons. My brother had a mizuno putter I used to borrow but it disappeared. Looking to get a new one hopefully one day.
I won’t lie those clubs look so nice
I just started gaming the T20’s in a 50&54 and I love them got good performance out of the RB Tour as well
Mizuno Clubs aesthetically are the sexiest out there. Rick have you been hitting the gym you're looking Ripped 🏋️♂️
Your club reviews are always the best on YT but this one was especially on point. Great job Rick!
Thanks mate
Just as a side comment, my best friend was scheduled for a club fitting (complete) so I forwarded many of your club reviews to him to help him understand each club manufacturer/performance prior to his fitting.
I remember when golfballs were full of tightly packed rubber bands!
Man that's really weird you say that about the putter when every single person I've talked to said it feels amazing... Even the guys from my golf spy
I demo'ed it at the PGA show and it looks and feels incredible
Maybe it would've been better if it had been fitted for him .
Yeah i saw that review too, plus some others so I thought Rick's comments were a bit odd.
Putter is made from forged carbon steel, same as the irons so you would think the putter should feel like butter.
Your the guy that says you hit 290 with your m3 and won’t get rid of it ..... yet we do not see you got a shot plus 2 .... 👀👌 prove it
@@stewarth794 well first off learn how to speak coherently, secondly my average carry with my m3 is 288ish at the moment and thirdly you can find my state tournament records, Hooters tour made cuts from back in the day and omg I even have a pga instructor certification..... BUT I'M THE GUY THAT WILL GIVE YOU MY ADDRESS, PAY FOR YOUR ROUND AND SPOT YOU 10 SHOTS ON A 1000$ BET... SO PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT TO TAKE ME UP ON THAT
Great test and the results were revealing. How about the same test of the Wilson staff line (particularly the D7 driver).
But the bag still taylormade lmao
Great Video Rick. Agree with you on the putter but anybody using the rest of the clubs must be so pleased with themselves. They all look fabulous and from the reviews from yourself and others you can’t go far wrong from driver to lob wedge with mizuno.
My next set of irons will be mizuno. I’m in the market for a new driver and I was all about the speed zone/F9 or the ping g410 but this is now one I want a look at too.
Not exactly sure how a putter can feel "flimsy".
Mizuno's head cover game is spot on! That driver and putter head covers are really sharp!
I put a set of the T20 wedges in the bag and could not be happier! It's definitely marketing, they're so underrated
Just got 5-SW in the JPX 919 Hot Metal Pro, and they are like butter. Absolutely love my new Mizuno clubs.
The Mcraft putter is my dream putter. It’s sadly too much for me, so I decided to watch videos on it for fun and saw this! Didn’t realize you’d made this video and was thrilled
Just saw you’re review of the putter and it’s a little bit of a bummer to hear you say that since that’s the exact model and color I’d pick but I’m not deterred. From what ive seen and looked at it still looks like the putter for me, so someday!
Nice one Rick,
First tee and yes I use a Mizuno golf ball, along with a set of Mizuno irons, driver and 3 wood, am I pleased yes sir.
I love that blue finish, if anything it draws me towards Mizuno.
Just started using my new Mizuno M2 putter. It looks and feels so good, it gives me wonderful feel for putt length, I did not 3 putt for almost 2 whole rounds (tiredness was the reason really), and I used to 3 putt many times each round. For me, the cost was very worth it
yea i just bought a Mizuno Driver yesterday...ST @200. Cant wait to get it on the range in the next few day.
Brilliant review Rick. No one out there is reviewing Mizuno like this. Mizuno are not easy to find to demo. Rick beating every TH-cam reviewer to the punch... again 🥊 🥊
I putt a Mizuno MPA304 Putter. It came out in 2013. Love it!
Mizuno briefly worked with Bettinardi to make putters a few years back. I had one and the feel was superb.
I hit the Mizuno MP14's back in college. Quite possibly the best irons I have ever hit! Still have them and hit them from time to time.
Great video. I was fitted to the ST190 last year and I live it. I’ve added the 3 wood and new T20 wedges as well. Great clubs. Certainly worth trying.
Great review Rick. Especially your last comment. No manufacturer can make great clubs across all categories. i totally agree with that..
Idk the more I look at that putter the more I love the look!!!!
Bought a Mizuno ST180HL and ST190 Driver and Tour X Mizuno Balls for this upcoming season. Thanks Rick for your reviews! 👍🏼
I have been using a st180 driver and 3 Wood for a year now, love them hitting over 80% of fairways and as long as I ever have been thinking of changing to the 200
Great video, love the honesty of the review of the clubs and equipment!
I have had 2 mizuno tour wedges 52 and 56 in my bag for 10 years and are still some of my favourite clubs
was just gonna comment on the bag but saw prior comments and yours. Keep em comin Rick
i have the jpx 919 hot metal irons ( including sand and gap wedge) and the st190 driver with a ventus velocore shaft .. love them
I play Mizuno irons. The ability to hit your distance most times is a big plus. It gives you confidence to go for pins rather than just knocking it onto greens. ⛳️
Been playing with mizuno irons and driver for a couple of years now and still love them. Hoping to buy the new set this year though
