    Quelques semaines avant la sortie de son album chez les Ninjas, le voilà à Paris pour quelques jours de promo et une session au Mellotron accompagné de son mini-Korg et suivi d'une interview by le Funky French President SOULIST. Priceless.

    he is changing the Envelope generator attack and release on the microkorg. those are the main parameters DC is manipulating. he is also using the pitch and mod wheel when he plays notes. He does incessantly tap on the side, which is not affecting anything; just his style of playing. i like the way he uses the microkorg by connecting it to his mixer and playing over top his drum tracks in ableton.

      Michael Abdo how do you know which page he's on? He doesn't ever press any keys...

      He gets lot of his MK sound from the delay mode - where the knobs represent dly time and depth. But ya, people don’t understand just how effective playing with atk and release can be in a live setting - especially with arp running. The tempo knob is also extremely versatile and enhances an arp pattern’s organic quality by making it less static.

    First time I've seen this guy...
    Does he have a track on laptop then tweeks sounds over it ....its awesome work just interested to know what he's using I've never really used my microkorg like this

      The way I understand it:
      He has the base of his tracks playing on his laptop. These are edited to remove some melodies.
      Then, he adds those melodies back as improvised MicroKORG sounds, which he's affecting on the Korg itself with stuff like delays and reverbs and so forth.

    Most of his tweeking if not all isnt making any difference. So that leads me to believe hes an audio con.

    • @tubbycustard8866

      do you even get what he's changing?

    • @piewars12345
      @piewars12345 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      the preset stuff on the microkorg with those knobs is just cutoff and resonance stuff....he's definitely changing stuff you just don't probably notice the difference it's actually making. Truth is this guy knows that synth like the back of his hand and can fiddle with it so fast that to most it just look like nothing.

    • @INADRM
      @INADRM 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Look at the white value marker on the knobs, they're not moving.

  • @brendancrise6970
    @brendancrise6970 9 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    I really enjoy his stuff, but watching him drives me nuts. 95% of the time when he touches a knob, he doesn't turn it. His hands are all over the place, but not doing anything!

    • @WellfortheBird
      @WellfortheBird 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This was driving me crazy. He would touch 3 filter knobs in under 2 seconds, and they wouldn't move in the slightest bit. I know a lot of producers tweak on unassigned knobs so they aren't just standing there letting their session play, which is boring to watch, and unimpressive. But this tweaked out shit is unnecessary.
