One of my uncles always drove Pontiacs in the 50’s and as a kid I always loved seeing the lighted hood ornament! Pontiacs always had interesting dashes. Great looking car, thanks Jack.
Hey, David! Back in the day, you could always tell a Pontiac with that straight 8 and HydraMatic without even seeing it! Now that's excellent brand identity! Thanks! :) Jack
Hey Jack I love these early fifties Pontiacs. The upholstery looks original in this car too. That black paint makes all the chrome on this car look so nice!.Thanks Jack!.
Hey Jack!! That's a beautiful luxury Pontiac! Loads of chrome & stainless. I love the velour type material they used on the seats of these earlier cars! Cheers Tiger.
Hey, Tiger! Pontiac clearly got the message that they had to offer more than Chevrolet, at a reasonable price differential. Pontiac had a four speed Hydramatic as opposed to Chevy's two speed Powerglide, an optional 8 as opposed to Chevy's 6, and a more deluxe interior. Thanks! Cheers! :) Jack
A very original looking and good looking Pontiac , If the engine and trans has been upgraded , it has been sympathetically done . The adoption of , say a modern SBC , would make this into a very nice and useable Classic .
Hey, Derrick! The introduction of a small block Chevy engine is usually what's done on these vintage cars...a good choice especially here so that power steering and A/C can be added. Thanks! :) Jack
I can see the resemblance in the front end....they shared a massive grille that went clear across the front of the car, and had height to boot! Thanks! :) Jack
I don't mean to be critical, but if you were to peel off all the chrome, you'd have a Chevrolet, they were virtually the same body during this time period. Very nice car though.

Hey, Donovan! A friend from elementary school's mom always had a Pontiac of this vintage! Her husband had a Pontiac dealership. Thanks! :) Jack
Really nice old Pontiac. I've always liked Pontiacs. Sad they were discontinued. Thanks for posting.

Hey, Lee! It really is cool...and I associate it with my early childhood friend, which makes it even more special. Thanks! :) Jack
Really, really nice. In black like this, this sedan looks far more stately than i usually associate with a Pontiac!
It's true...the black paint job adds points for being upscale! And the excellent condition of the car adds to that. Thanks! :) Jack

This car almost looks like the Hudson Hornet.

That's true, but mechanically they were quite different...4 speed Hydramatic vs 2 speed Powerglide, elective 8 vs mandatory 6. Thanks! :) Jack
