Hi Brittney! Those were 5 great tips! I am on my 7th week on Mounjaro and am on 5 mg. I am hoping to stay on 5 mg for awhile. I have had my primary physician for over 30 years. He is wonderful and knows me well. He had me on 2.5 for the first month and then upped me to 5 mg. He told me I will stay on each level from here on out until I no longer lose weight at that level. We are set to do blood work and doctor's visit every 6 months. I have type 2 diabetes and this drug is amazing! I know my A1c is coming down quickly due to wearing a Freestyle libre glucose sensor. I just subscribed to your channel and look forward to watching more of your past videos! I too am doing TH-cam lives I like to call Mounjaro Mondays when I take my shot. I only know in person one other person who is taking Mounjaro and that is my dad. It is so nice to have a TH-cam community to share what works and what to look out for! Thanks for sharing your journey! 😊
Hi, I'm on my 7th week 5mg as well. I've noticed that I do have more appetite on 5mg than I did with 2.5 mg. I have to work a little harder not to eat over my allotted calories my Dr gave me. But I take my next 5mg tonight and after that 2 more. Hopefully I will see some improvement with my appetite suppression. Looking forward to titrating up next month. How are you doing on 5mg?
68 y/o male, been on mounjaro 3 weeks now and down 19lbs. I cut out all sugars and limit my carbs. I really try to stay away from processed foods. 4-6 oz of protein per meal and a few veggies. No sodas, water and coffee are my go to drinks. My family doctor recommended an endocrinologist to prescribe the weight loss medication. Enjoy your videos, down from 320 to 301 so far. I find I police what goes in my mouth if that helps someone else. I eat 2 meals a day with a small fasting window of 4 hours, mainly lunch and dinner. Small meals that I know I can sustain after mounjaro is no longer an option in the future. Eat Whole Foods as much as possible. After listening to many doctor audible books, these choices are the most recommended for weight loss. Just my two bits of info.
I would like to add that the only way the body eliminates broken down fat is thru urine/ the kidneys and breath. Water is essential if you want to lose weight.
My dr stopped me at the 1ml. I'm 5ft and was 170lbs. I'm now 120lbs which is great for my BMI. I'm also a newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic. I went into DKA in 2022 and was insulin dependent. I've been off my insulin ever since starting Ozempic in January 2023 and lost over 50lbs. My dr also has me on a OTC probiotics to help keep me regular. I've never had any side effects in my 13 months of Ozempic 🙌🏽😊
Im also around 5ft and 165 pounds. Started moanjaro today. I while back I tried Ozempic for 5-6 weeks and didn’t see any weight loss. But I also didn’t have any symptoms. So I’m looking forward to some results.
@karenrussell2075 it's sold at CVS I try to get them when it's BOGO or BOGO 50% off. It's called " CVS Health Probiotic 10 with Vitiaman C , 30ct" it's easy on the stomach, and it'll make you go daily like normal. No runs.
I think people who don’t have type two diabetes, lose more weight than people with type two diabetes I don’t know I could be wrong, but I just get that feeling
Not true , I have diabetes my glucose levels were thru the roof , I started on mounjaro and lost 17lbs the first 2 weeks , on 2.5mgs,, my sugar readings were so low I couldn’t believe it ,, I walk 3 miles everyday and drink lots of water no appetite , at all - no side effects just a little nausea in the morning ,, everyone is different ,, 😊
Hey @charmed8997 i have been on compounded trizepatide (mounjaro) on my third week and i barely reduced 8lbs. What do you think i can do to expedite the weight loss like yours. Maybe share some routine you followed with diet please? Thanks
Hello Brittany, boy did this video show up at the right time. I am going into my ninth week, currently at 5 ml, and I feel my weight loss had stalled. But I am only taking in about 700 to 800 calories a day. I just can't get food down. I never thought about the starvation affect. I also wasn't drinking water. I just started to be more conscience about that and lost 3 lbs last week. Thank you so much for this advise. I don't know how I will get more food in but I will give it everything I have. Thanks again for the videos.
I had the same problem, I increased my fat intake while keeping carb down, MCT Oil and animal fat products. Was at 1200-1600 calories. switched to more fat and lower carb. 1800-2000 calories and went to 2-3lbs a week average for 12 weeks now. Still at 5mg Mounjaro
Thank you for the advise. Not only were my calories low but contained very little fat. I was eating mostly protein. Will incorporate some of your ideas.@@mattfisano
I have not lost anything I'm in 2.5 his going to but me up in 2 months he said.. I'm always hungry eating whatever I need to get my self together ❤️ thank you
Hi Brittany! I am a new subscriber, and will be looking back on some of your older videos. You look amazing!! ⭐️ Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.
Hi Brittney this is a great video! So much beautiful knowledge. And you’re so cute…. Drink the water! I hear so many people say they don’t drink much water like it’s not the problem.
Hi Brittany thanks for the tips. I drink a lot of water always but I have been exercising as much as I can as I have pain in my joints but this is my 2 nd week on 2.5 mg and first week I lost 3.9 kg but I have two more days and weight today says I put on 100grams. I am not sure what I’m doing wrong as I was devastated as it seems to happen all the time and I see my doctor in 2 weeks who is leaving at the end of the year so hopefully I can find a doctor to continue as a lot won’t help. May I ask what the 5 mg dose cost as it’s expensive and im in Australia but I can’t afford to buy a lot of food so I have been having protein shakes at 20 grams a scoop and apples is that okay. Thanks and apologies for such a long message
@Cassieroll. No Cassie, alot of water is helpful, but it's subjective, as an RN people get hyponatremic which is extremely dangerous and life threatening, I know my husband was as he was drinking too much water, about 1/2 gallon per day, a little more. Sodium levels should be checked and if not remind your prescriber.
Its great that newbies find a safe space, positive support and advice from the GLP1 community, but it worries me that soooo many basic questions should have already been addressed by their prescriber BEFORE they took their 1st shot, like the most basic guidance for those early weeks hasn't been given. Are they just prescibing and then cutting these poor people loose to fend for themselves? Thats pretty awful patient care. My provider has scheduled one-on-one Zoom mtgs every 4 wks since I started with my RD & my fitness trainer to answer my questions & follow up on my progress. I realize all providers can't provide this level of care, but it seems like some provide nothing at all. 😢💔
My doctor started me on 5mg because in his words “we have to get this weight off of you” I lost 20lbs in 3 weeks. I’m now on my fourth week. He titrated me up to 7.5 for my second and third month which I start next week. I noticed when I drank more water, I was less nauseous or didn’t experience it at all. I feel like it works better injecting in my stomach than my leg. I haven’t tried my arm yet because I heard it stings.
I just started my third week on 1. I was on .5 for a yr with no 10 pounds weightloss but I believe this is due to diet and exercise. I switched my shot to my stomach bc I heard some areas allow more weight loss for some people.
WoW, thank you so much for this video. No wonder I haven't lost weight after being on 5mg Mounjaro. I hardly eat anything, only fruit and thats all. My doctor just increased it to 7.5mg to be honest, im so scared because of the horrible side effects I'm having, nauseas, headache and bad mood. What it has helped if my A1C, now its at 6.6 🎉.
I’ve been on 2.5 Mounjaro for 2 months. Only lost 4 lbs so far. There is no way I’m ready to go up to 5mg. Side effects 🤢. The good news is my blood sugar levels are normal now
I started Mounjaro 5 weeks ago and I had a weird first few weeks of a journey, and I'm frustrated and confused... Started on 2.5mg and Wk1-Lost 2pounds, Wk2-Lost 18pounds (Not lying-I was shocked), after that week, I've not lost a pound, but also I've not put on any either!!! Wk5 I went up to 5.0mg and still I've not lost anything!!! Please can someone give me some info? I cut all sugars, sweets, carbs out by Week 3, then cut back my portions. I just don't feel hungry and no cravings which is great, and now for 2 weeks I@'ve had no carbs except a wholemeal roll with some cooked meat on, any other meals its high in protein and vegetables, no carbs. I'm also drinking a lot of fresh lime water with a dash of sugar free squash and a vitamin C effervesant as in the evening I take a lot of tablets for my ailments (Bad osteoarthritis) Please help! What am I doing wrong ?!?!?
UPDATE on My JOURNEY: I found out what the issue was, at the beginning I was on Naproxen (Prescription Anti-Inflammatory) and I lost the weight. At the end of Wk2 I stopped them as the issue cleared up. For those next 4weeks I hadn’t had Naproxen and didn’t lose any then put on 7lbs. At wk6 I went back on Naproxen to help my hips as they were progressively getting more painful. I then lost 2lb that week, then 2lb the next and then went up to 7.5 and then lost 3lb that week… last week I lost a FULL STONE (16lbs) in ONE WEEK AGAIN. So those who have chronic inflammation or chronic inflammatory disease and are trying to lose weight on injections and are finding they’re not losing any, they need to test Naproxen or the equivalent in their country to see if the inflammation disease is hindering the weight loss medication. I did some research and there is a link to insulin resistance and weight gain with chronic long term inflammation or inflammatory disease. And my accidental trial proved it for me. I’m trying to get the word out everywhere because I know how despondent I was feeling. I hope this helps some people 🙏🏻
25kg in almost 3 months, I almost died in the hospital from sepsis-gallbladder/gallstone problem, appenditis, kidney desease.... I had to get IV antibiotics in hospital.... My thirst was weird since the first dose, never had fluid in my mouth, something was wrong with the liquid in me, so the kidney got very vulnarable and too empthy ( drinking, going constantly) so I got sick after 3 months of this crazy stuff. They wanted to remove my appendix, my gallbladder I had to fight for a wait and see approach. I've got lucky. Take care girls, it is amazing life -25 kg but ... almost died. No joke. Always listen carefully, what is going on inside, so not too late if doctors need to check out the situation. 2,5mg was extremely much for me the whole time. Everyone is different. I hope you ( and you all other readers) reach the dream number and live the dream life you deserve.❤
I left a message here 2 months ago and things are pretty much the same. I just started yesterday Mounjaro 10mg and did the injection site to my arm instead of belly. On 7.5 I was hungry all the time ZERO weight loss. I hope 10mg helps me loose weight. At least little by little I don't know what to do
I definitely should have stayed on 2.5 msg for longer thanks a month I was losing and had appetite suppression. But I did listen to my doctor and moved up to 5mg after a month and I did pretty well. Then I was stagnant and could not lose weight on the 5mg tried 7.5 for three months. It was three of the worst months of my life. I had terrible side effects. I couldn’t keep anything down. I was throwing up constantly nausea, terrible headaches so she brought me back down to the . and I’m not losing any weight so I’m not sure what I should do. Do you have any suggestions based on your experience For weight loss with my PCOS and it is helping with my hormonal levels as well with the weight loss background. I’m looking to lose another 15 to 20 pounds and maintaining after that.
There is a TON of research that suggests that Wegovy is not as effective as Mounjaro/zepbound! I’m going to be doing a video soon to discuss all the differences, but essentially Wegovy only mimics one hormone, while Mounjaro mimics 2.
Neither of these drugs gets rid of fat cells. The drugs suppress appetite and slow the emptying of food in your stomach. There is some research that MJ assists in breaking down the Brown fat that lives in between your organs. You still need to have a calorie deficit in order to lose weight. The drugs don’t do that by themselves, but they help you to not eat as much by suppressing your appetite.
Oh the clinic the i get my is really a bad one i think i better off in a online clinic... have a appointment with my endocrinologist hopefully she will agree in continuing me in the wegovy
Brittany I have a real issue with drinking the water and I do not drink sodas . I do have mayve 2 to three cups of black coffee each day but do you have any tricks or hints how to get the water I need to not be such a challenge?
Weird, but true- if you're using water bottles with a twist or screw cap you're less likely to reach for water than if you have a sport-top bottle or something with a straw! If you're using regular, disposable water bottles it's harder to encourage yourself to drink water (even though they do have labeled amounts of how much water is in the bottle) than it is if you use one with indicated increments on the side. Get yourself a fun, cute water bottle! I love the Pogo Tritan bottles. I get 'em on Amazon, they're super cheap, dishwasher safe, and come in different sizes. And finally, set yourself an alarm/reminder to drink!
Hi Britney I’m new here glad to find u! I just started my week 3 Wednesday. I’ll check for weight loss Tuesday in my drs office so hoping for the best. Some side effects for me have sucked but seem to not be as bad or lost as long this week so far. My stress levels have sucked lately so idk how that’s affecting anything. I’ll see on Tuesday as far as weigh loss. Thanks so much for your helpful videos! I hope to lose at least 60lbs but hoping for 70-75 see how that goes.
Can you fast constantly while on this because my first dose is coming on Thursday and I'm someone who does extreme shit like the snake diet - would be helpful to know as I bought it as an appetite suppressant to help me fast. Thanks
@@BrittanylosingYeah snake diet I only recommend if you have a doc on hand to check your bloods/pressure etc otherwise it's too hard for a lot of people, but I have insulin resistence and it's helped great with that. Thanks! :)
So he’s actually not mine! He’s my sisters, he stays with me during the day while she works. He is a rescue that had a lot of issues (came from a puppy mill) and can’t be alone. I’m actually not sure what type of dog he is.
Please be careful giving medical advice. Telling folks to drink their body weight in ounces of water is dangerous. That is way too much water for some. If someone weights 300 lbs, that means they would be drinking over TWO Gallons of water a day. A better “guideline” would be HALF of your body weight in water -but again -it’s a “guideline”
@@therealsandraweiseThe national food pyramid is awful. It tells you to have 11-12 servings of bread and pasta, 2-3 servings of meat, all fats should be avoided, etc. it’s extremely outdated. There’s actually plenty of calculators that tell you how much water you should have based on weight.
How can you not lose weight? Confused. I forget to eat. It's simple. Calories in calories out. If your not losing weight your eating too much of the wrong foods. Monjaro just helps the process. It's still the same fkn math.
False information. I sent him some links. One of which was yours. You seem nice. But this information is false. I wanted to warn you. He thinks you should not be telling people your misinformation.
False information telling people to drink water, make sure they have a doctor who cares, and make sure they are eating properly??? lol ok. Have a great day.
What a rude comment, especially not explaining yourself. If you truly cared which you evidently dont, you'd have explained to her what's the misinformation.
There isn’t anything in this video that would make a DOCTOR that upset. Or upset at all. This is literally all basic information. She just had a bad day or something lol
I started a month ago and I don’t think I have lost anything. I have washed dozens of videos, and this one is the most helpful. Thank you for this.
It’s my third week, on 2.5 I don’t feel any effects good or bad. Ive gained 2 pounds.

I hope 10mg helps me loose weight.
At least little by little
I don't know what to do
I definitely should have stayed on 2.5 msg for longer thanks a month I was losing and had appetite suppression.
Loved this video so helpful ❤
Brittany so true thank you for sharing
I’m due my 4th injection lost 20lbs but had to stop to check my blood labs
Does Manjouro break down the fat cells or just suppress appetite? Currently taking wagovy and the weight loss hasn’t been that great. Thanks
There is a TON of research that suggests that Wegovy is not as effective as Mounjaro/zepbound! I’m going to be doing a video soon to discuss all the differences, but essentially Wegovy only mimics one hormone, while Mounjaro mimics 2.
@@Brittanylosing excellent! Thanks for that 😊
Neither of these drugs gets rid of fat cells.
The manufacturer insists on rotating the shot site. Never do the same shot location twice in a row.
Yes and I've read where some find the injection site can effect weight loss.
I’ve been on Mounjaro for two months and so far it’s not working although on the plus side I’ve had no side effects.
What dosage are you on?
@@Brittanylosing .5mg. About to go up to 7.5mg.
How’s 7.5 working? I’m in the same boat. No luck at 2.5 or 5.0…
This is my second month on Mounjaro.I started on 2.5 for a month snd then in 7.5 in this month. No side effects but no weight loss either.Frustrated
Crystal light drink mixes, hot teas, lemon water
Thanks
Ummm well I do think it’ll help in that process, although this sounds really extreme to me
@@BrittanylosingYeah snake diet I only recommend if you have a doc on hand to check your bloods/pressure etc otherwise it's too hard for a lot of people, but I have insulin resistence and it's helped great with that. Thanks! :)
I was on Mounjaro from October to March and didn't lose any weight. Now the higher dose isn't available.
Looking forward to your injection site video, it’s some thing I’ve been experimenting with
Where do you get phentermine ?
How many dosage are there 2.5 5 7.5 is there more
Random but what kind of dog do you have? S/He looks like mine!
So he’s actually not mine! He’s my sisters, he stays with me during the day while she works. He is a rescue that had a lot of issues (came from a puppy mill) and can’t be alone. I’m actually not sure what type of dog he is.
What kind of dog do you have?
Please be careful giving medical advice. Telling folks to drink their body weight in ounces of water is dangerous. That is way too much water for some. If someone weights 300 lbs, that means they would be drinking over TWO Gallons of water a day. A better “guideline” would be HALF of your body weight in water -but again -it’s a “guideline”
You’re absolutely right. I misspoke on that!
The national food pyramid recommends this.
@@therealsandraweise The pyramid recommends what?
@@therealsandraweisethe national food pyramid is wrong...
I'm not hungry. How much is enough to eat?
Focus on protein. 1200 to 1800 cal per day.
This is where your Doctor or a dietitian because EVERYONE is different!
hi Brittany
Well you can’t go up past 15mg so if you’re not losing on the highest then what?!
Yeah not in starvation, 15 doesn’t make me stop eating at all
If she was on phentermine and glp1 she was NOT EATING 😂😂😂
It is not great that you can get mounjaro on line.
Cut to 2 mins 30 secs to get past the waffle.
I am on 2.5mg and only lost 6lbs after three whole weeks. This is after very careful eating and daily exercise….
Get to it
Were are you
How can you not lose weight? Confused. I forget to eat. It's simple. Calories in calories out.
If your not losing weight your eating too much of the wrong foods. Monjaro just helps the process. It's still the same fkn math.
Whoah very snarky. Google homeostasis
DELETE THIS VIDEO. MY DOCTOR SAW IT AND FLIPPED HIS LID. I don't want you to get a strike. You seem nice. He may have already reported you.
Reported me for what?? Lol
