    As a UW alum, I don't want this to sound like sour grapes, but in Jedd Fisch you get a guy who is a proven recruiter with extensive experience in both the college ranks and the NFL. Imagine sitting a a kid's living room telling him you worked with the likes of Bill Belichick, Pete Carroll, Jim Harbaugh, etc. and knows what it takes to get to the pros. Kalen DeBoer has never been anywhere long enough to build a program, and his recruiting acumen is incomplete at best. Frankly, I think the Dawgs may have won the coaching lottery.

      Wow I am stunned you guys got him. He's outstanding you are going to be brutal in the Big-10. I am from Illinois back in the 80s I went to Everett and two nice, highly educated gals asked to sit by a friend and I to watch a Drive-In on the lawn. I could tell they were special they said they were from "U-DUB" never heard that before. I was impressed ever since. We departed afterwards but it was very pleasant indeed. @@Edward-nn1rqIt may take a few years to adjust to the brutality of the Big Ten. The incoming Pac-4 teams are a a little more finesse and not used to the physical pounding they will see on a weekly basis. Nice rebound by Washington, everything else considered. That arizona team Fisch had this past season going into next year, imo, had a chance to do what washington did this year. I could've easily seen Arizona be preseason ranked somewhere between 10-12. First order of business for Fisch should be to get Furtitta to transfer from Arizona to Washington. Huskies have a pretty easy schedule next year, and could win 10 games in their inagural Big 10 season.

    • @deanfirnatine7814
      @deanfirnatine7814 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would not call that a easy schedule on the road against Oregon and you have to play Michigan and there usually is someone else that has a great year out of nowhere in the conference, UW does get lucky not playing Ohio St. With all the turnover, new coach etc UW will be maybe 9-3.

      Not that mind blowing at all. Arizona is a pit-stop job, not a destination. Fisch had a really good team returning next year, and was likely going to fight it out with Utah, the Kansas schools, and Oklahoma State for the Big 12 title, and a potential spot in the CFP. More resources, more money at Washington, however. And he's in the Big Ten, a major conference, not the Big 12, a competitive but lesser conference. It was a no-brainer decision for Fisch.

At UW the pressure will be much higher and a program at that level and in the Big Ten, they will not tolerate another long losing streak against Oregon like they had until recently (lost 13 out of 16) or a losing streak against Michigan or Ohio st, expectations are very high with that rich fan base.

      @Jason-lk9yi im not gonna lie i didnt know about the ucla thing. Why did they pass?
      I dont knock a guy for job hopping though. Wouldn't you jump around if better opportunities came up though? Good coaches get opportunities... and with UW being in the B1G now.... not a lot of better opportunities after the funding stuff gets worked out.
      I bet the guy stays longer than you think... but only time will tell...

      @@DTMC00 UCLA just didn't think he was the right man for the job. I understand hopping around a bit too, but I believe he went an entire decade staying 1 year max at each team while staying at the QB's coach position. If you're gonna hop around you would think it would be for a better position. I mean, that would be like a fast food counter worker hopping from fast food joint to fast joint just for the same crappy counter position. I think that shows that teams didn't value him enough or think he was capable enough to promote him or pay him to stay and climb the ranks. I hope I'm wrong, but I would never call a coach with only one winning season a great hire. To me, this is a massively risky hire.

    Unfortunately, Jedd Fisch will leave at the first chance he gets for something better. Sorry Folks, but this is his history and in 2-3 years we will be looking for another coach! If I were a high school recruit I would never commit to Jedd knowing that he will jump to the SEC as soon as an opening comes. As much as I hate Dann Lanning, I to to give him prompts for sticking to his word.

    Do they seriously not realize that Jedd Fisch's dream job will likely be available after this season when Florida fires Sunbelt Billy?
