Moonstone, lemmings, syndicate, prince of persia, civilisation, super frog, cannon fodder and few others - this is Amiga legacy that I will never forget
What i love about this generation of gaming inc consoles is how many different fighting games there was, but today we have the same boring fighter franchises...MK, Tekken and Street fighter
As a huge Amiga fan boy myself I must admit the Amiga game developers and publishers just put utter garbage out there for us in the 80's and 90's compared to consoles, out the Amigas entire library, only 7% of the games were well coded, well polished. The rest were generic crap using the same recycled garbage and that trademark 'colour' gradient... how these coders and publishers allowed these on the shelf is beyond belief
Exactly like Steam, Playstation, Xbox, iOS Store, Nintendo Switch, Android Store... Always be more trash than good stuff. But don’t forget the little gems like Liberation for the CD32 or Amiga 1200 Hired Guns.
I don't even know what you are talking about. AGAgames are poor joke, because it was never profitable to make these, but A500 is unbeatable platform games king and rather good other genres too.
True but those 7% probably outnumber the games on the consoles. Amiga didn't have a 'seal of quality' like nintendo, so there was a lot of crap games as well as plenty of good ones.
I liked that actually so when you saw a game you're interested in you can catch in the end if you're just casually watching the video instead of having to go backwards if you didn't catch it.
@@alpyre It's hard to get them confused, they look nothing like one another. I find Corsa's statement bizarre, because if the CPU was a factor in the slightly sluggish, jerky SF2 on the Amiga (I don't think it was), you wouldn't need more than an '030 at most to sort it out.
@@TheLairdsLair A lot of games in the video had OCS versions and for the most part looked the same, even if technically what you are showing are AGA versions of the games they hardly feel like they are showcasing the graphics improvement, which is surely what we'd all like to see out of such a video (though of course there are a few nice games like Breed 3D that clearly wouldn't have been possible on the A500). I find it hard to understand why the mediocre Watchtower required AGA, but having checked Lemon Amiga it did indeed.
Sadly only a few games are noteworthy. Most don’t look like a game that would run on a 32 bit system, and lots pf them are actually crappy even on a 16 bit.
@@elmariachi5133 I wouldn't say most in this video were great. Some were, like Alien Breed 3D (would have been nice to have the option for a resolution twice as good to run on accelerated Amigas), but most of the best Amiga games were on OCS/ECS too.
@@johntrevy1 Can't compare them. OCS was able to have 64 colour games and display 4096 colours. ECS was able to have larger resolutions like 1280*512 (but only in 4 colors) and AGA was able to have 256 colour games and display 262144 colors. Yeah, AGA just wasn't a big enough leap.
That Rally Championship brought back some memories...I had forgotten all about that badboy!

You need a list of the games in your description and I think some games are missing their titles.
I like your intro. I recognize some of the music. This channel is my type of thing. I will subscribe. Thanks for the video!
The intro music is taken from STUN Runner on the Atari Lynx. Thanks for the sub!
@@TheLairdsLair I played that one a lot! I hope they release it for the evercade. Lynx games play great on that system.
10:25 LMAO that racing games had the same car sound as the Lotus Turbo Challenge 2
Fantastic games. another fantastic games is "Battle Isle '93" and "History Line"
One of my best mates had a Miggy 1200 BITD and I think he had most of these games actually!
Disaster - AGA didn't deliver at all - A500 still the king of games ;-(

Best time machine Amiga ☺️
Why didn’t you put the games’ titles before the sample plays?

Irgendwas stimmt mit meinem Gedächtnis nicht. Solche Spiele fand ich damals geil?
You'd need some Vampire/Warp or other superfast accelerator to run Street Fighter like that.
That one isn't the one you think (Street Figher II 1992). It is Super Street Fighter II (AGA) (1995). It had smaller character sprites but was fast.

Is the 1200 the AGA machine?
One of them yes. The Amiga 4000 and CD32 are AGA too.
Rise of the robots was so overhyped
yeah, everybody expected it to have 3D models of robots not poorly prerendered and animated bitmaps
No Cannon Fodder
Nope, because it wasn't an AGA only game, it can be found in my OCS Amiga video.

A lot of Euro jank and a few true gems.
I love my Amiga but god damn, most of these games look like total shit.
It's easy to see why most people got a console, there's very few reasons here to own an Amiga instead.
