Relocation Challenges || Hangouts On Screen Series with Ijeoma Ufomadu

Hello Friends! In this episode of Hangout on Screen, I shared one of the challenges I faced when I moved to the Netherlands! From navigating language barriers to helping my son adjust to school in a new environment, it wasn’t easy. But, through learning and research, we overcame these hurdles and successfully integrated into the Dutch system. The school had the responsibility to tell you to take him to a language school first.
I was in this situation.
I took my child to an international school as a student, and he went to a language school straight after that. From the language school, he transitioned to a Dutch school that is bilingual.
I didn't have a regrettaking him to the international school because we had the opportunity to have that community that is still helping us to date.
We would never have gotten the kind of support and community we got in the international school from anywhere else.
