Hi Charlene, I watch your videos to learn more Tagalog. In English we don't say "a dirt", just "dirt" because it is both singular and plural. Another example of this is "milk". Also, when we use "shades" for sunglasses, shades are plural, as in "where are my shades?" Sunglasses, like the word "glasses" is plural too, even though the word refers to one object.
