A great job.........One thing though, When I cleaned my cars (nothing on this scale) I have always wiped rubber of wiper blades with damp microfiber clothes, Surprising how much dirt builds up (week or two) I'd get comments as "a bit ott there" but when I showed them just how much dirt came off ....... never realised that I'd get.
Thank you! It’s amazing how much come off the wipers. In one of my other videos (I’m not sure which one) I show a close up. I use an all purpose cleaner sometime on the wiper blades, which helps pull more out 👍🏼
my dad just ordered some detail brushed like camel hair and stuff, now I just need a dirty fancy car to detail 🤔 yes a high schooler that likes to wash and detail cars. don't ask why
A great finish either way, and looks very easy to apply. I used to use Hot Wax (some thing Turtle Wax knocked up years ago) as it was easy to use and looked alright - plus the cars I was driving back then were probably less valuable than a decent wax. 😂
It was more to ensure Gyeon wax bonded to the paint properly. Tripple has a tiny amount of cut but also cleans the paint further so quite a good product.
Hey, love your videos. I see you used AF Tripple but then Gyeon Prep before waxing. Wouldn't Prep just remove the Tripple you just applied? Or have I misunderstood the purpose of Prep. Love the finish Gyeon Wax has left. I think I will have to give that a go! Keep up with the fab videos.
Thanks Christopher. So Gyeon wax is slightly different to others, as it’s polymer/synthetic. A true carnuba wax would adhere to Tripple nicely but Gyeon wax needs to bond to a clean oil free surface which is why Prep was used. I only used Tripple for it’s light cutting and cleaning abilities 👍🏼
Hi Harper Great video! That elastic band got me.. must say 🤔 Also I spray pre wash all over the body work majority of the time you seem to Just spray low areas?. I’ve had staining happen when the pre wash has been sat for too long or the sun has cooked it on but luckily it comes off with a hand wash
The elastic band works very well 👌🏼 What prewash have you been using as it shouldn’t stain the paint. It’s a slightly stronger solution for the lower sections as they tend to pick up the majority of dirt.
Have you ever tried Infinity Wax power foam mate? I found it to be a lot more economical to use in comparison to BH Autofoam and it cleans just as well, if not better.
I haven’t actually. I like their product range, but haven’t given that a go. How much do you put in a Lance, as p/5 litre it’s nearly double the cost of Bilt Hamber
Fantastic video and attention to detail. I'd just let the machines do the work for you - such as the Ceri glass polishing of the windscreen. Its a great thing to do but save yourself a lot of arm ache by using a DA. No point working all your life to lose the use of your joints.
Thank you 👍🏼 I usually do rely on machines, but find I can get closer to the edges when hand polishing the glass, so typically do the bulk area by machine then the rest by hand 👍🏼
Nice work, what did you use the chemical guys waterspot remover for on the badegs? Didnt look like waterspots were there? I asume just clean up around the edges of the badge
Thanks 👍🏼 If you look closely at the badges on a dry car you might notice a slight hazing around the badge. Most people think it’s dirt, when in actual fact it’s limescale/water marks, so this dissolves it 👍🏼
Hey mate, you reccon I could remove some light swirls(caused by drying) with that hand polish tehnique? Im really pissed I did that to my own car :( the paint is literraly 3 months old only. I dont have the facilities nor knowlage to use a polisher. And could you recommend me some good polish paste/ solution? What should I use for best results by hand. Thanks! And is claybaring the car causing swirls as well?
Hi, first of all, what car do you have? What drying towels are you using as well? Clay barring can marr the paint if used incorrectly, so if you weren’t going to polish I would just stick to chemical decon I.e. tar & iron remover
Hi nick you do very good job but I advise to you avoid clay bar instead carpro iron x you will save time and some swirls and abrasion especially black cars
Hi Jorge, thank you. The clay bar stage is still essential even after my tar and iron fallout stage as there are contaminants that these chemicals cannot remove. If these aren’t removed then the polishing pad would pick them up and scratch them around the paintwork
Hi Neil, The idea of polishing is to remove imperfections in the paint by removing microns of clear coat. In order for Gyeon wax to bond properly it needs to adhere to squeaky clean oil free finish, so prep creates this by removing all traces of oil 👍🏼
Hello, really nice job. But why u use tripple with carnauba wax and then wipe it with prep and then put gyeon wax on top? Its not better idea to use AF Rejuvenate without wax and then put wax? Sorry for english, i am from Slovakia. Cheers :)
Good question. First of all, your English is pretty spot on 👍🏼 Gyeon Wax is more of a sealant so bonds better to clean paint, compared to a traditional wax which bond better to oily finishes. Auto Finesse tripple is the only product I use through their range as it’s so versatile, so don’t actually have rejuvenate. Cheer
@@HarpersCarDetailing Yes, but u puting gyeon wax on top of tripple carnauba waxor no? or the gyeon prep take off the tripple wax and u have clean paint like after rejuvenate?
@@t0mbolone no I remove the tripple. Tripple cuts a very small amount and also cleans the paint, so works well for me. Even if I used rejuvenate I would still use Prep and rejuvenate will leave something behind.
This was only hand polished so the paint would have had light swirls left. The idea was to only add protection and bring back gloss into the paintwork 👍🏼
Another incredible video. You seem to have it dialed in to exactly what I dig in a detail video. Great camera work and narration.

Another cracking job, the black paint really stands out from the correction and protection, how was the gyeon wax, good water behaviour? 👍
Thanks Scott 👍🏼
The water behaviour on Gyeon Wax is insane when it’s full cured.
Similar to Sonax BSD if you are familiar
Nice to see wax being used. Old school. :)
I do like using a wax, although saying that, this is more of a sealant compared to a tradition high carnuba content wax

Which KKD shampoo do you use? Are the different ‘flavours’ user preference or do they have different properties?
Any of them, although I wouldn’t go for chocolate as it could make the water look dirty.
That car looks amazing how long did it take you to do that black looks stunning when done like that great job m8
What’s the thinking behind Prep following Tripple? Did you find the cut of tripple enough that you weren’t worried about the fillers?
It was more to ensure Gyeon wax bonded to the paint properly.
Tripple has a tiny amount of cut but also cleans the paint further so quite a good product.
An amazing job. The RS6 looks fresh just out of the box! Stunning :-)

Why rinse water has different color ?
That’s the whole idea of the rinse bucket.
Any dirt left behind on the car is rinsed off on the mitt then in the rinse bucket.
How you doing this outside… all the dust and debris will just keep coming back onto the paint
What dust and debris? Even if it is slightly windy there is little to no debris.
