City of San Antonio: Freightliner M2 Loadmaster Excel Rear Loader Garbage Truck

During winter break, we decided to check out Monte Vista, a historic wealthy neighborhood in downtown San Antonio, to see what the city would be running there. We first found this crew in a 2012 grey New Way but they were unable to complete the route with that truck as it would not drive over 20 mph. They came back a couple hours later in one of the city’s new Loadmaster Excels, which I was super happy to finally be able to film! The city purchased four of these units in 2021 and they like them so far. This is an area I have always wanted to check out as most of the trash collection occurs in alleys. Being in downtown, this route has a mix of houses and businesses. I had always assumed that mini trucks collected trash here due to the tightness of the alleys but to my surprise it done by a full size rear loader. I apologize if some shots are subpar, it was a little difficult to get good angles. This crew was super chill and they moved at a pretty quick pace which made for a pretty good video overall. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the show!
