I love that Pendulum went from an entire summoning mechanic to a single deck that just tries to abuse the best Pend cards from every archtype.
Its the Zombie method.
I hate how true that statement is.
It’s hard to make Pend cards that are good and can’t be used by the sheer amount of other pend piles. Like they really tried to with mythical beast. All are pend scale 4, requires no monsters in your other pend zone for their pendulum effects, but still can be subsumed by the pend pile.
Exact reason I hate it. It’s just pend good stuff and except for Vaylantz, every pend deck just joins it. Hence why Vaylantz are the only pend deck I like even if it’s trash
@@streetgamer3452 The other issue is that Pends are in such a shit position after Links that this was inevitable. Combine that with the best Pend decks (DDD and Predaplant) not really using their Pend monsters for Pend summoning and you get Pend pile.
They need more Archetype locked Elecromites
The first time someone plays the generic predaplant extra deck monsters in an actual predaplant deck results in an FTK more consistent than those done by decks which use those same extra deck monsters, unbelievable

Supreme King Starving Venom isn't a predaplant card
He is part of the supreme king Archetype which is a pendulum archetype
I love the dragonmaid game because it proves not only that every sky striker sleeve user is on sky striker, but also that every player with the dragonmaid pet is on dragonmaid

I’m not usually a fan of the Venom King FTK but I’ll be damned if that wasn’t good for going into it in one really unique way off of one lone fire.
The pend summoned Maxx C made it very funny
I typically have a low opinion of this sort of FTK but being able to find the line with a single lonefire does require enough skill and creativity that I have to tip my hat to them.
These titles are always “I opened Drytron ALPHA and CAME!”

i love that predap otk. ive been playing that list for a while and its really easy to pull off. jasmine allows for so many meme predap lists. as long as you dont play predapractice and fusion lock yourself, you can do some real shenanigans
Damn I've been playing plants wrong. I just thought of lonefire as a 1 card combo into a sunavalon extra link but now I see its true potential as a 1.5 card combo into predaplant ftk
Holy shit that is a terrifyingly consistent FTK. And if you don't FTk, you can just do Branded stuff half your ED can just be Branded cards.
And THAT is why you never activate card effects during the battle phase when Sheou's already attacked you. Not only does she negate your activation, but your opponent gets an extra attack out of it. Most good Dragonmaid players will usually attack with Sheou first if they can, for this exact reason - I know it's won me a few games in the past.
Edit: Though now that I think about it, this is a bad example because the Dragonmaid player had lethal regardless of whether or not the Sky Striker player activated Raye's effect.
That first deck was truly THE pile.
Holy fuck that Branded/Blue-Eyes/Dragonmaid deck. It's the dragon fusion pile I've always needed in my life.

Not that it's going to matter anymore in a week, but there's a line that consistently reaches the Predaplant FTK from any starting play that summons Ambulomelides without using Bufolicula/Instant Fusion. Literal 1.5-card FTK via Mardel, Cross-Sheep, and Beyond the Pend. I used it to finish the secret mission for the Demon title. The line I use doesn't require another extra monster (the Maxx C) in hand to pend summon and link off either, since Triantis can put a counter on Cross-Sheep so Byblisp can summon itself back.
Lonefire is FTK. Scorpio is FTK.
Chlamydosundew with any Predaplant in hand is FTK.
Even Polymerization with any 2 Predaplants in hand is FTK lol.

Shizuku Pass on an empty board? Of course they're gonna get OTK'd. That's why you've always gotta shuffle into something off a Multirole instead of hoarding Double Engage.
Double engage is sometimes the right play, shizuku shuffle plays harder into removal. But you do get otk'd doing that a lot
Okay, Maxx C can stay legal for that pendulum player and nobody else.
(Un) fortunately Supreme King 'Steal your ability' dragon will be limited in the next banlist, so no more dumb ftks :-)
