...What? People pass out all the time after they finish deadlifting regardless of the weight. Your blood pressure spikes when deadlifting and if you lower the weight too fast, the sudden drop in blood pressure causes light headedness/blacking out. People do the same thing after repping 2 plates and no one suggests that they'll die if they continue. Anyway, it's obvious he doesn't really care about his health too much if he's gotten to this point. Already wrecking his organs with his extra-curriculars.
Still, collapsing that hard is pretty sick to see. I've been to several powerlifting competitions and not even the top lifters pass out like that. But then again this was just one move event. The consistensy of his body is fucked up, you can just imagine the strain his organs are taking, especially heart. It's a recipe for short life expectency. Remember Sigmarsson.
The real question is: How on earth did he manage to make this big jump ) from 465 to 500)? I mean it is extreme difficult to increase 1kg at this level but 35?
We have always allowed deadlift suits, the real difference is that he decided that 500kg was doable and wanted to prove that to the world. He's been training like a madman for it.
Everything that went on in this lift is truly remarkable... just the sheer fact that his spine and knees had to support this weight is a marvel in its own. Let alone the muscle strength. AMAZING

If you watch how smooth that weight went up, it's clear Eddie himself actually can do 510, 515 kg right now. And competitive as he is, if he does something like 520 kg in a future competition, you can bet he will make plans to reach 550 kg. I just won't go all the way and say 600 kg will be his next goal, because that might seriously be beyond the human body limits. But 550? He's thinking about that for sure.
+rick peener Disagree about that. The first time you lift a humongous weight, it feels like it's sucking the life out of you. But that's just the very first time. On the very next lift, it feels way, way easier, partially because your body is now a bit more prepared for it, but also your mind has lost that fear of the impossible. You know you can do it, so you go a lot more confident towards it. Eddie probably deadlifts multiple series of 400kg+ every time he hits the gym. I'd go as far as saying he probably does a couple of 460 kg+ lifts as well, and this is a walk in the park for him. What is 40 kg more to a body that's used to lift 460 kg+ every week? He didn't nearly kill himself on that 500 kg WR. It was just shock from adrenaline, and the "weight" on his shoulders of having to live up to his promise. His body can handle that.
This insane deadlift ended up causing blood vessels in Hall’s head to explode, causing nosebleeds and an eventual loss of consciousness. The aftermath of this record breaking lift has Eddie Hall uncertain whether he’ll ever attempt it again. ‘That nearly killed me,’ Hall told the Yorkshire Evening Post. ‘The pressure on my head was surreal. I passed out after. I had nose bleeds. It’s not healthy doing something like that. But I’ve done it. I’m sure it will be in the history books for a very long time.’
Eddie Hall is DEADLIFT Incredible mental strength/discipline and he did the 500kg. Unreal I don't believe anyone can crush that record for a while it's here to stay.
He might have done 475 or 480 kilos without the deadlifting suit, but deadlifting suits have wide elastic straps that go over the trapezius and are puled very tight so when you lean over you feel the pull of the straps pulling you upright.
Dr retardo He’s correct modern Brits (Specifically English) are made of Anglo-Saxon, Jutes, Norman (Norse that settled Normandy in France), Celts, Norwegian (Vikings), Irish, Welsh and Scottish blood. For those who don't know. He actually went blind for a couple hours and forgot his wifes/kids name after this lift. He had blood coming out of his ear/eyes/nose. Fucking insane.
He made it look easy, plus he didn’t put it down straight away he held it there for a while. Pretty sure if it had been 501kgs that would have been pulled too.
It's not about 501 anymore. Hes the first man to reach 500. No one can take that from him. Even when someone beats 500 whether its 501 or 510 it wont matter. Eddie was the first
Vishal Patel until someone else inevitably makes a huge leap in weight. No one remembers the first guy to lift 400 kg, and the same will happen to Eddie when someone eventually goes to 550 or more.
@@Aplesedjr I think its a little different when this is half a ton. people will remember the first man to lift half a ton as it took how many years of people trying to break the record by 5 kg and eddie breaks it by 35 or something like that. It'll be a loooooooooong time before someone beats 500 by that margin
it looks to me like he is holding it and looking around to distract people from the fact that his body is not 100% fully locked out, that's just how it looks. If someone was there and said it was official, then thats fine and I'll believe it.
@@MrBryan90 It's significantly harder to actually peak your adrenaline than it is getting an adrenaline rush from someone punching you for example. Unless you can actually feel and live like you're about to die for real, it will be very hard to pull something like this off.

When you watch the up close footage, you actually get to see how intense the look on his face was during the lift. The blood dripping out of his nose and that ultimate look of satisfaction on his face from a total adrenaline rush wasreally awesome to see.
The physical toll this took on him was immense. He nearly died from it. He burst blood vessels in his brain. @ i watched eddies Story about 5 Times on different Channels and Videos xD. The preparation is simply insane. You need to look at his expression right before the lift. He looks at the judge in a very angry and scary way and when he lifts his eyes are just completely empty.
@@salocin3114 I wouldn't say likely. There's a lot of things that can bleed in your head without any permanent damage. He had a concussion but that doesn't usually cause permanent damage.

I hope that comment isn't for Eddie cause he squats 340kg for reps all day, no problem. Dude's thighs are prob 40 inches
who ?

thor almost had it
Had to see it again! Eddie makes it look easy and held for so long but yet Thor was struggling. Incredible!
Thor will get that 500kg + he is still young so
Yesssir
I am in shock that was truly amazing i donno how he progressed so fast i am mind blown! Never thought i would see a 500kg deadlift this soon!
Dude isn't even 30 yet. Insane to see if he gets any stronger.
He will die if he keeps pushing this. Just look at the end of the video, guy can't even stand up.
He was in a tight deadlift suit wich compresses his whole body, combine that with deadlifting 500 kgs and being out of breath
Nice one TH-cam. Stick an advertising overlay over the screen during the actual lift.

jammy fucker!!! ha ha I watched it on live stream. I dont think i could've got any closer to the TV!!!
The real question is: How on earth did he manage to make this big jump ) from 465 to 500)? I mean it is extreme difficult to increase 1kg at this level but 35?
They just started allowing deadlift shirts. He was assisted. Of course, it's still a massive amount of weight to pull, but assisted nonetheless.
+Jason Boyko a makes sense. So far, the strongest raw is bennie
how does a deadlift shirt work? like a lifting belt?
We have always allowed deadlift suits, the real difference is that he decided that 500kg was doable and wanted to prove that to the world. He's been training like a madman for it.
he also put on 15kg extra weight. that might have helped him.
Bloody hell imagine how much he could lift if he was hydrated
imagine if you could stop repeating tired and unfunny memes
Still wouldn't be able get the covers back from his mrs

LOL, now that's a feat of strength
dead lift: u lift and u nearly dead
He just set the Bar for all strength sports
TH-cam and their bloody ads covers up the actual lift.
Everything that went on in this lift is truly remarkable... just the sheer fact that his spine and knees had to support this weight is a marvel in its own. Let alone the muscle strength. AMAZING
I just got back from this event tonight, and what an awesome time it was! Witnessing this lift first-hand was unbelievable.

@@TFK_Alpha stupid peice of shit Thor used a belt and wrist straps on those weights that wasnt raw
@@TFK_Alpha Thor uses all the same things and elephant bar IS easier as it's a smaller range of motion. Yes it whips, but they know how to lift to stop and minimise that. To compare Thor's elephant bar deads (while impressive) to Eddie's proper 500kg deadlift is foolish, they're not in the same league
I hate how annoying TH-cam is with recommendations. At the 1:25 mark I get a suggested video that covers all but Eddie’s legs
The best part about this lift is that for the next 500 years or more eddie hall will be known as a legend

This guy is amazing! Wow 500 kg's on deadlift? It's insane... Congratulations, Hulk!
How do we keep that stupid scene from the next video from popping up and blocking Eddie's lift from view?
Somewhere out there in the world .. There sits a little boy watching this, he will be the one to deadlift 650 kg's .. Just think about that
very true, even the craziest records will always be broken
If you watch how smooth that weight went up, it's clear Eddie himself actually can do 510, 515 kg right now.
And competitive as he is, if he does something like 520 kg in a future competition, you can bet he will make plans to reach 550 kg.
I just won't go all the way and say 600 kg will be his next goal, because that might seriously be beyond the human body limits.
But 550? He's thinking about that for sure.
+Márcio Napoli Although he said in an interview after this that unless someone breaks this record, he will never do it again.
I thought about it... meh.
How the fuck do you go from 465 to 500 in under a year or something?
Mind over matter friend...35kgs wasn't gonna stop him...No way
what are u trying to achieve in the profile pic?
he pulled 465 with no suit, pulls this with one thats how.

Griffy?😂
Who's here after watching Thor's 501kg deadlift?

Bionic benni got it up to his knees
He used a deadlifting suit. Last year he lifted without a shirt.
Keith Greenan Suit or not do you believe he can lift that massive lift without it ?
He might have done 475 or 480 kilos without the deadlifting suit, but deadlifting suits have wide elastic straps that go over the trapezius and are puled very tight so when you lean over you feel the pull of the straps pulling you upright.
So without eddie the suit would have lifted the weight? Gtfo!

It'll be a loooooooooong time before someone beats 500 by that margin
obviously he could do 501.. he even said he could have done a lot more. i think he just held it for way too long.
it looks to me like he is holding it and looking around to distract people from the fact that his body is not 100% fully locked out, that's just how it looks. If someone was there and said it was official, then thats fine and I'll believe it.
So he finally got the proper hydration he needed and unlocked his full power.
He was imagining saving the life of his kids stuck under a car. He went there in his head completely.

@@nr7975 that's given me a great idea on how to approach my strength sets. Thank you sir.
@@MrBryan90 It's significantly harder to actually peak your adrenaline than it is getting an adrenaline rush from someone punching you for example. Unless you can actually feel and live like you're about to die for real, it will be very hard to pull something like this off.

Everyday i watch this video of Eddie Hall deadlifting 500 kilos before sleeping as it gets me hyped up for the next days training
Just an Introvert - He wasn’t sleeping, he passed out!
In my case, i watch pornography.
The physical toll this took on him was immense. He nearly died from it. He burst blood vessels in his brain. Lost his vision for a little bit and couldn’t remember his own kids names for about two weeks. He held it for so long.... his mindset and will was stronger than his own body... a true legend.
Would love to watch it but a thumb for a suggested video pops up and completely covers him.
