My family always made it with onions and cucumber; sugar, white vinegar, mayo and my personal touch has been fresh dill and a splash of the brine from jarred garlic. This has me wanting to try!
From my home on Mediterranean, mix yogurt first with actual garlic and other liquids. If its is too thick add a bit water. The real garlic taste way better with yogurt then powder. Cut your cucumber smaller, we add peppers too. Cheers.
I make it the Polish and German way like my mother taught me, but it would help if you maybe cut the cucumbers into smaller pieces. Easier to eat. Looks delicious.
Ive switched to English cukes cause theyre tastier. Also, i peel regular cukes then score them lengthwise with the tines of a fork. Yogurt onky. , fresh dill, garlic powder, salt and a little sugar and apple vinegar. Try an english cuke. Im betting youll like them. And i can get 2 or 3 😊 aervings, so price works out well 😊😊
This looks really nice. Didn't think to put honey on mine. I'd ask you to try juicing the lemon into the garlic powder before prepping the rest. Soaking the garlic first should let it hit harder without adding any extra dishes or steps.
Also any of your fav salad dressings work too!!! I looove chicken with cucumber 🥒 in the summertime vinegar salt and pepper a lil oil soooo good lots of pepper yuuummyyy
This looks so good I never heard of a cucumber salad but I’m putting this on my shopping list. I want at least 4-6 cucumbers because I think my husband will like this salad as much as I think I will
@@Itsmekrodriguez sour cream and yoghurt are almost the same main difference is the fat percentage is higher in sour cream and in most recipes they can be replaced by each other because of their similarities
My family and I always made this salad with only cucumber, yoghurt and garlic. Since i was child my grandma made it for us. We akways add more yoghurt so it is more watery. Nonethekess, your salad looks delicious.
Is it dairy allergy or lactose intolerance? If it’s just the lactose, you can get lactose free products 😊 Otherwise, vegan yogurt and sour cream (usually made with coconut or soy) 👍🏼
I’m late but if you dine the cucumbers, it always for more bite and easier dressing coverage. I actually eat something similar every week. Cup of cubed cucumber Ed, minced spinach or kale with dice onion and garlic in a lemon garlic yogurt sauce or tzatziki. For vegetarian option, I used chickpeas for protein or firm tofu but I usually use chicken shawarma.
You can fry dandelion yellow flowers in a flour batter or serve the leaves in a salad. But all parts of the dandelion are pretty bittter so be prepared for that.
Ooo grew up eating this. Now I make one with sesame oil cukes mirin or sugar salt soy sauce rice wine vinegar and add red chili flakes if you like spice.
In Turkey we call this cacık. We just add sliced cucumbers to plain yogurt with some minced garlic, some salt, and some olive oil. It’s delicious and it’s typically eaten with meat/rice dishes or on mezze platters 🇹🇷😋😋
You essentially made ranch. It's a different feeling thinking thats just a big bowl of ranch with a bunch of cucumbers dumped into it 😂 usually I just dip cucumber into my homemade ranch but i guess this works too
@@basicallyno1722 buttermilk ranch has buttermilk, sure, but that's restaurant style, and it's not technically needed but the ranch will be real thin if ya don't use it. As for the oil, maybe some recipes call for it but I've never used it in mine. Maybe that's bias? Dunno. I agree it's not EXACTLY a ranch recipe but it's close enough to being one that it's just what came to me while watching the video is all. I'm make some ranch dip tomorrow 😂
Nope, you HAVE to put honey in it. You're the one buying the ingredients, you're the one making it, and you're the one that will be eating it, so it absolutely HAS to have honey. No excuses...
My family always made it with onions and cucumber; sugar, white vinegar, mayo and my personal touch has been fresh dill and a splash of the brine from jarred garlic. This has me wanting to try!
Looks good but I think… I would cut the cucumber more up just so I can eat up easier. 😂
I add red onion and tomato to mine.
But looks delicious, none the less!! 😋
I made this cucumber salad it is so delicious!!!😋
I can't stop eating it!!!❤

Tried it the polish way ..very nice ..easy to make and lovely as a side dish with pork schnitzel and mash ..
got crazy with that garlic and garlic, though!!!
Garlic is good for you. You can never have enough garlic!
what if i dont like gralic :(
Po prostu polska mizeria :) tylko bez miodu :)
Yum. Going to try this but not as much garlic. Thank you.
Looks delicious 😋
Ooh thanks for reminding me about this one, I got a bag of baby English cucumbers 🥒 I need to use perfect ❤
Lol im eating it while watching you do it at the same time ❤ btw i suggest you to add a little onion ❤
Beautiful Salad! So easy and looks delicious aswell! I’m gonna make it! Thanks for Ur great recipe!❤🎉🎉❤

I like this version better than the chive addition.. thank you I’ll try your recipe 😋👍
I will definitely be making this this week 🤤
Just made this and it’s amazing! Thank you
Hello! Does this keep at all? I’d love to make it for a few days of lunch.
Omg tysm it’s sosososoosos good and I love. The crunch
Also any of your fav salad dressings work too!!! I looove chicken with cucumber 🥒 in the summertime vinegar salt and pepper a lil oil soooo good lots of pepper yuuummyyy
Crunchy, creamy and tarty. Im sooo hungry!
Look good but I think I would mix the dressing in a seperate container then add to the cucumbers so as not to use more than is needed.
Wow easy and good and healthy so can we eat as lunch rather than on side? Sorry I don’t know much about food
That is way too much dressing.
I think so too
Just cut back...whoola😊
I prefer a thinner dressing. I’d probably add a bit f vinegar to dilute it (and cut the cukes thinner)
Never enough dressing! My motto is eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow may not come.
Too much everything 🥒
That dressing is good on a coleslaw mix too
Yum! That looks delicious❤ I'm definitely making this.
I’ve been doing that for years I also add Italian parsley sometimes mint
try it with fried crust ... u can also try to add tomatoes and green onion garden
That looks really good.
This looks so good I never heard of a cucumber salad but I’m putting this on my shopping list. I want at least 4-6 cucumbers because I think my husband will like this salad as much as I think I will
I feel like this would be better with thinly sliced cucumbers! Kinda like what FeelGoodFoodie did! Nevertheless, it looks amazing!!
It looks and sounds delicious!
Chunky tzatziki?
Tzatziki has sour cream?
@@Itsmekrodriguez sour cream and yoghurt are almost the same main difference is the fat percentage is higher in sour cream and in most recipes they can be replaced by each other because of their similarities
@@M7pc890got it, makes sense. Thank you

Hahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahah chunky tzatziki is exactly right
Looks fantastic ! Thank you .

I think some lipton's french onion soup mix would be great in this
I love mine with onions
This is going on my lunch rotation 😮
Great for Summer.
I tried it and it was the best thing I ever tasted
Yum yum sooooo crunchy delicious 😋 😍 😊❤🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Looks delicious ❤
I sadly get sick from milk products, I’d love to know an alternative, that would be wonderful if anyone knows! ❤

Have to do a dandelion recipe. That is what we have in our yards. Great video.

Cucumber salad is the best. Looks so yummy
if you say so
I think it's a generous amount of everything, including salt. Nonetheless, I love your channel, and I love you.
Thank you this is so good
OMG I'm going to try this thank you
Oh my God I was just craving this just last night
Delicious 🥰⚘⚘⚘
Another way is sliced cucumbers with either mayonnaise or ranch dressing. The way my grandmother and mom use to make it.
Ooo grew up eating this. Now I make one with sesame oil cukes mirin or sugar salt soy sauce rice wine vinegar and add red chili flakes if you like spice.
I ate that yummy creamy one till I found out I was lactose lol then switched to the one above. But I miss that one ❤
I used to eat this as a kid..😊
Looks sooooo good! I would remove the peels from the cucumbers before slicing and also not cut such thick slices. Thanks for sharing.
Wow delicious🤤
You have some amazing recipes!
Less creamy products but looks delicious
You should try indian raita it is phenomenal
And, mmmmm yum 😋 if you have the time, replace that garlic powder with a few smashed & chopped cloves of fresh garlic 😁
Looks really good but whyyy do people insist on chewing food on camera? It sounds so gross 😭
Oh this looks yummy!
that look mad goood!!!

Try it like this : cucumber yogurt some fresh garlic and a little bit of ment and salt it's delicious
That lemon was so juicy, goodness☺️
Was that plain yogurt???
It was suppose to be plain yogurt
Yummy 😋
Why not dice the cucumber?
this looks good but idk about the honey
you can always adjust it to your like 😊
I think making it a dip for cucumbers would be easier
I think you are right You can taste as you go and more even distribution

Am not looking at the tzatziki but at you my lady. You are very pretty
Man is this really good bc my garden is lit this year. Cucumbers out my ass
That wiggling with the fork is the most mum thing ever when something tastes good
I need you to understand that as someone who doesn't make food like this, it looks like you've added a cup of salt.
My mother added red onion made even more declious 🌰🥒
Life❗
Legend says she needs natural cream😂🎉
4 cucumbers!! Great start!!
Man the amount of salt she added…..
Why not cut the cucumbers smaller? That looks delicious but so awkward in presentation
You essentially made ranch. It's a different feeling thinking thats just a big bowl of ranch with a bunch of cucumbers dumped into it 😂 usually I just dip cucumber into my homemade ranch but i guess this works too
Ranch has buttermilk and oil in it though (among other things). Mayo as well, I think. Totally different flavor.

Why honey? Can it be left out? I absolutely hate the taste of honey. Too much of it as a sickly child really scarred me.

Americans use so much seasoning
If it don't sound like that you're doing something wrong

How much of everything? Hard to gauge the quantities just from watching.
Shes using feeling 😊
Yummy
Do some lemon zest
Minus the honey, it's a tzatziki😂
My parents make this a TON in the summer
If u add enough water to it, so it looks like a soup, u get the Bulgarian dish “tarator” soup. Very refreshing
Which are the ingredients?
She literally said them. 💀
Add a little apple cider vinegar
😋
Live a little: use the 5% Fage yogurt and real sour cream. It would be so much better!
the beginning sounded gross when she was stirring then the white around her mouth um no
