In army basic training a DI said the only dumb idea is one not shared. What stops this from happening is greed ( people would steal your idea ) and people thinking they are the only one smart enough to do some like that.
These stories really like "thinking out side the box", I think a better lesson when he was making the device would be, "You get so caught up in doing things the right way, you lose sight of understanding why you're doing the things" If his grandfather invented the FTL drive and he's going to an alien engineering school, he probably already has a better understanding of the concepts at hand than the other students.
@@TheJadeFist I have to agree; but with one small caveat. If a person is always thinking "outside the box", they are in essence just in a different box ! I am not that smart, wise, or creative; but there are times when bolts of inspiration strike my cerebral bucket. A THOUGHT- sometimes thinking OUTSIDE the box is the right cognition while other times thinking WITHIN the box is the most inciteful. Understanding is knowing when to cognify WITHIN and when to muse OUTSIDE.
Finally, a story that talks about deathworlders who aren't being attacked by this or that power-hungry race. When thoughts stagnate, when thoughts are focused only on what is and not on what could be, what is developed because of asking 'what if,' seems like magic and challenges what's known. Dave was making a valid point when he told the class how important it was to intimately know how something works so that in an emergency, something could be cobbled together that saves lives. Dave did a fine job proving his point by creating that capacitor out of bits and pieces. It was funny to hear what Dave and Alex came up with that inadvertently challenged recognized principals. In other words, those two figured out how to make the improbable ship go.
THUS IS ABSOLUTELY THS BEST STORY I'VE READ IN THIS WEB-ENABLED GENRE !!! Just imagine what could be bs accomplished by a Harmonica Playing Hamster welding a Temporal Toothpick !!!
The story is. extremely funny Really enjoyed it . If you enjoyed this story there are😂 several other Death world stories that. are as funny this one.😅😅
Mc guyver over here better make sure he uses that rubber duck lol "Prevents a bad event with a ball of string, a rusty spoon, and a copy of Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy" I'm freaking done! That's too hilarious. Hahaha
So being listening to these kind of story. So I got an idea for one . History class they end up doing a civil War reenactment. Show this was first kind battle strategy. Gluttonous blob loading a flintlock.
Honestly, an AI voice that at least is trained well enough for inflections and appropriate pronunciation most of the time, I can totally dig em. There is actually one that I really like, it speaks so suspensefully and fast paced, it makes everything dramatic. I love it when I hear it.
Jokes aside, it is an interesting idea to explore. Such maybe the whole dark matter thing that is holding galaxies together that should is just lines of force that connect large gravity wells (or maybe all mass down to the smallest scales), or maybe appear as like cosmic fault lines parallel along the meeting point of large gravity wells. If you could some how ride those lines of force.
i am attempting to make a python app that when you give it a text file of a story like these with embedded code to facilitate sound effects and image changes at certain points in the stories and output a video file to be uploaded to youtube if you have any input on such a application i would love to hear it
The moment they identified the human as Jenkins it was obvious shit was about to go down
They called him Mr Jenkins, I bet his first name would be Leroy

The thing about freely sharing is that the Idea itself could be purloined; the creator of the Idea would always just move on to NEW THINGS :-)

Dave Equals earthing Mc Guyver in alien Scholl.
This is hilarious! I could listen to this story all day. Just wish you could get rid of the AI voice.
I have a nagging suspicion that the author is an AI . . . 😅

No that's Peter I don't remember his last name everyone knows him as Tyrion Lannister. That's his voice.

So... explain to me where Alex Chen came from when they already said Dave was the only human...
What happened to the rubber duck?!
That's the secret sauce of quantum physics
It ended with the quantum spaghetti, of course ! \o/
@@hua_man It became my Friend as it rides my Harley when not perched atop my SKID-LID. For Reel / Real !

Oh god, not only is the other student a deathworlder, its a Female deathworlder.
O
Non binary entities, really, man, it's everywhere. It's a great story, though lol changing time and literature.
Man; why the heck do these stories have so many "Sweet Summer Children" in them. ??? Jeez, what a bore.
