    Hi. Great vid!. Quick question.
The aluminium bar that is on the floor at the back (I think it slots about half way up the boot). What's it for?.
I'm getting one that comes with it and the importer didn't know.
    Cheers

Thanks for your comment and question. It's a luggage support bar to help hold cases etc. in place in the 'boot'. Enjoy your Alphard!

And how do you rotate them back to normal? Does it rotate 360 degrees or it does 180 degrees rotation? I am having trouble putting the seats back to normal

I'm pretty sure you have to rotate them back 180 deg in reverse to the original direction of rotation, if that makes sense.

Can you remove all the seats from 2nd and 3rd rows? Thanks

Yes indeed, although they aren't quick release like many European MPVs.

I've viewed numerous Alphards all aged differently and it's not at all clear which have swivel seats and which don't. I just bought a 2006 model which has them but a 2004 model didn't and neither did a 2009 model. Perhaps this was an option. I liked the video - yet to work out how to get the middle seats to lay flat as yours do.

Hi, thanks for your comment. If I remember correctly there are 2 levers involved in getting the middle row of seats flat - one on the outside of the seat base and one just below the arm rest. Remember to remove the head rests too!

One of many confusing aspects to buying an Alphard. I do know that middle row seats in 7 seater MZ and MZG models don't spin as they have foot stools instead which stop chair from rotating. I guess this explains why so many people import the 8 seater MS in this video as they like this feature.
