What I find really sad is that Clearsight's last thought to Darkstalker as he fell asleep was "goodbye, my dearest love." It breaks my heart every time. 💔
I would love to see Clearsight seeing a vision of Darkstalker becoming Peacemaker, just the knowledge that he would not live or sleep forever without knowing love again.
Honestly, (and I know lots of people will disagree)
I dislike the Hivewing tribe as a whole, not because of the whole enslave-the-silkwings but because it means clearsight fell in love again,
Darkstalker truly loved clearsight, he doesn’t deserve it, and I am glad that all the pantalan stuff happened after darkstalker’s (hopefully not) final defeat,
Because imagine his heartbreak at realizing his beloved fell in love so many times after him that her children became their own tribe, darkstalker wasn’t evil, it was the circumstances of his life, and things out of control that broke him just enough, his constant optimism makes me cry when I reread the books, his parents fight, he thinks about clearsight, clearsight avoided him for as long as possible,
His parents fight, leading to foeslayers ‘death’, whiteout was animus cursed to marry a prince so that Arctic could return, having no reason to stay, and he’s the villain for grieving his mother, protecting whiteout from a life of misery, and trying to give him and clearsight the best future, being king and queen, and maybe taking over the continent, none of his actions were ever selfish, or atleast benefited others as well,
And I personally like darkstalker’s ending, he becomes a new dragonet, and gets the childhood he never had,

@@zocritter I'd disagree with the "not evil" point. Yes, he had a very bad life, but a very bad life does not justify, at the very least, the attempted genocide of the Icewings through magic-induced biological warfare. I do agree with the other stuff though, and your arguement is well put together, this is just my opinion. Anyways, if you read this, have a nice night :)

This was amazing to watch, literal eye candy. I see as the video goes on, Darkstalker’s jaw gets sharper and more pointier and his horns become more sharp and curved. Awesome little features can make something so much better!

This is how I imagine darkstalker to sound like. The deeper voice is him in the 2nd arc and the higher voice is his legend.

when he said sold my soul, and then showed the soul reader, I love it. GREAT SONG!! By the way, to anyone who hasn't read every book, the hourglass is a soul reader, good sand is black, white is bad. He enchanted it so that it always said good when fathom was thinking otherwise. When it shows the blade breaking at his neck, that's because he enchanted his scales so that nothing can hurt him. These things play a very important part in the prequel and other books when they progress.
