Country music has a way of telling our life stories. Trace is really good at this story telling. I'm 56 years old, retired and living in Texas now. I have three grown daughters with families of their own now. My wife and I just returned home from 4 days at Disneyland with two of our daughters and four of our grandkids. My mind often wanders back over the years! The lyrics where the old plumber is telling the young mom captured in the midst of chaos with toddlers that she's going to miss these days rings so true! I'd give anything to be woken up in the middle of the day after working all night by the shrill screams of my 3 girls laughing and playing with their mom! It used to annoy me and now all I can think is that I was such a fool for not getting out of bed every single time to go join in on the laughter!
This song is for every parent. Because we have all been there and done that. Now it’s our kids turn! Tears!!!

Time always flies by, faster than you realize in the moment. I'm up in Canada, I'm turning 45 tomorrow with two kids. I'm also living in a longterm care center due to a very aggressive illness. One thing I learned long ago is you've got to take your time, enjoy every minute for what it is, and love your loved ones hard! Because you will miss those times that seemed so difficult.

This song always touches my heart and brings a tear to my eye. My baby is 35 and wow did it all go by so fast!!! When she graduated from college I moved to a small town about an hour away from where we lived. She decided to move with me. While living there she never gave me an indication of liking or disliking it. Shortly after she got married I left that house. Not that long ago she told me how much she loved living there and how much she missed that house. Totally took me by surprise!
Now y'all know why we love country...its called real life, and my 4 grown ass kids still remember and miss being waited on hand and foot🤣🤣
Trace Adkins is a very kind and generous person who just this past weekend gave a free concert in our Tornado stricken town of Mayfield Ky which was devastated and destroyed on December 10, 2021. an EF4 tornado left 24 people dead and at least 200 people injured in Graves County Kentucky, according to the National Weather Service. Trace stopped here to help raise money and bring awareness as our people work and struggle to rebuild, on his " Somewhere in America Tour". Yes were gonna miss this but we will rise up better than ever.

Know what y'all are going through. Our youngest daughter is now 22. When she said she wanted to move out, I had a much harder time than my wife. It still brings tears to my eyes every time I hear this song. Great reaction!!!

I think listening to this as a parent it hits more. I have 3 kids. 2 are already moved out. the last one is 17. I think we have all said "Can't wait for them to get older". Now they are, it is so hard to realize they are so grown up. I also think we have all said "I can't wait to grow up and move out. No one understands how tough it is! I love this song. I lost my mother in 2020... the person I cherished, loved and admired most... every time I listen to this song I flash through all the beautiful moments we lived through together when I was a little kid, and then I'm crying my heart out... beautiful song! Indeed, we need to learn to stop from time to time and just enjoy the "now" and be in the present for a while... savor life, if you will, because one moment you're having dinner with loved ones and the next day you might be sitting at the table all alone...

I'm the youngest of 5. When I was in high school my older brothers and sisters tried to tell me that 'Your parents are the best friends you'll ever have." and I thought they were crazy.. Took me too many years to learn how right they were. All times are good times. You have to enjoy each and everyone that comes your way and be thankful for it.

Makes me cry every time. Doesn't matter how many times I hear it. I have one 19 and one 10 and I miss it all. I miss being a kid with my mom. Miss when my babies were babies. And you don't know until years later how much you do miss it. Now my mom is gone and I hurts even more hearing this song but it has the truest storyline ever.

My daughter is in her senior year but there are two moments I’ll never forget watching her walk away when I was ready to go and us both crying and blowing kisses from her window to me at the car. I love country music it always tells a story.
My little girls are still close by and I see them often. The ones that make me fall apart are the ones that are gone now. Grandparents, parents, brother and sisters. I'm the last one. Miss them every day.
Trace grew up in the next town from me and I remember all the these places in the video. Good memories and makes me miss my boys being kids.

Music should make you feel. I have a lovely 36 year old daughter and a beautiful 4 year old granddaughter who are my world, and when I see my daughter getting frazzled and frustrated as a mom, I tell her that I wish there was a pause button because "You're going to miss this..." When I hear this song, it moves me to tears.
Love this reaction guys. Got a almost 4 year old. He loves when me and him sing to songs in the car. He even gets mad when me and his mom are talking during a song. She always told me about getting sad when she thinks about him getting older, and I never understood, until the other day when I realized there will be a day that he won’t want me to sing with him anymore.
