@@knaanman7670pretty sure compound V isn’t passed down to kids since we see Victoria Newman giving her daughter a permanent V injection but on the other hand homelander calls ryan the first naturally born supe so maybe it can be passed down if it’s strong enough but we could also attribute it being passed down in homelanders case to the fact that he was heavily experimented on so maybe the V intertwined with his genetic code instead of just his blood cause it’s also been said that soldier boys radiation blast “fried the V out of kimiko’s blood”. I think homelander being so strong because the V is all the way in his genetics not just his blood and it can only be passed down like that is the best theory

The fact that HM tried to be a good father but didn't know how is tragic. He was trying his best but everybody else got in the way of his happiness, at least from his perspective which is understandable but not an excuse.

People are saying that if homelander was raised in the same circumstances as Superman then he would be a good person. But in any real life scenario there would be no way he could have a normal life like superman. In any environment Homelander would accidentally kill people like he does in the lab. Can you imagine if he accidentally killed someone playing school baseball or football? Or if he just accidentally killed a student or students during school in public site? Someone as powerful as Homelander needs to be in control because the risks are just too high for him to destroy the world. Ironically him not having a normal childhood is a major reason why he’s crazy and will probably destroy the world. This is why you just don’t want people this powerful in our world. Even if they’re good people like Superman there’s always a chance they may go insane.
Homelander never learned restraint though. He was constantly tested on his powers, but never taught how to just be normal. Superman had years and years of practice both using his powers and supressing them, whereas homelander never had that kind of training and was kind of just thrown out to the wolves.

The dude that made the comics has said that he didn't like the comics, but now that he feels he can do the story better, he wants to do the show differently, so that's why the show is different, basically like the mcu, it will take stuff/characters from the comics but it won't be the whole comic storyline. Hopefully, it doesn't end up like shii, like the mcu is heading at this time.

If homelander actually wanted he could wipe out everything he desires but still doesnt do so. Something inside him is still good. We see that often when he talks to his "Evil self" in the mirror. Hes sometimes afraid of himself until he completely adapts to it. If someone literally anyone that he cares about would have told him that he didnt have it easy, didnt have a childhood, should be better then the people who tortured him, then he actually would still have had a chance to be good for the sake of others. But literally NO ONE did that, no one. Its no wonder hes the way he is. Hell i wouldn't even say he is completely evil but broken, very very broken. To me when homelander dies is gonna be the same as when light died. Sure they had the potential to he good and were corrupted by evil forces but with how utterly deplorable they became and insistent that they were above everyone else like god they deserved everything that came to them.
