- As you know my lovely friend Alice passed away recently and I’m heartbroken. This video is where I share my happy memories, books ahead recommended and cry a lot. I’m sorry for being a mess. My thoughts go out to Alice family at this horrible time. I would love to hear your happy memories of Alice and books she got you to read.

Emily darling,Alice would be SO proud of you and so touched by this lovely tribute. You are so brave to speak from the heart so eloquently and honestly. You are so right in how you describe her - kind,caring,thoughtful and funny. She loved you all so much and knew she was blessed to have found such amazing friends who loved books just as much as she did and wanted to talk about them all the time. As you say,it didn't matter if you had different tastes - or liked different colour books! - she just wanted to spend time with people who were passionate about reading. I have just discovered your channel after looking up specifically for charity shop book hauls and noticed that you were wearing black. Curiosity got me to check Alice's channel. My condolonces, she seemed to be such a sweet bookish lady and i'm sure she will be terribly missed. Don't know if she had children or if all family members were aware of her channel, but in time, it could be of such great help in keeping her memory and spirit alive.

Her gifts were the most thoughtful I agree. She loved finding the perfect pressie. PINK BOOKS!! Alice would say it to tease you and the rest of us would pile on in solidarity. I am just now hearing about Alice's passing and I am shocked and heartbroken! I just can't believe it! She is so young and vibrant! Thank you for sharing this and for being so open about your grief and for also sharing your friendship with Alice with all of us. What a blessing to have a friend like Alice! I only "knew" Alice from her videos but felt like I really knew her and like we had been real friends forever! I looked forward to her videos all the time. She always made me smile and "made" me add so many books to my own giant bookshelf! We've lost quite a few booktubers within 2024 that I know about and it's always so sad because you feel like you've connected with them enough to know who they are as people. This is so heartbreaking. I can't believe that we've now lost Alice. I've been watching her videos for only a short time and I really loved her content. I can't even imagine how her family and friends must be feeling at this time.
Also, this was a lovely tribute. You've suffered through such a huge blow of losing a friend that was dear to you. I think that you being an emotional mess is to be expected during this time. Alice sounded like such a remarkable human being and it's such a tragedy that such a lovely person was taken from her loved ones and from those who she loved and cared for.

Emily, this made me cry and giggle. We miss our Alice so much, but she will live on. We had just planned our first ever buddy read and because we both wanted to read from our own shelves, she went the extra mile and added all her unread books to StoryGraph, so that we were able to compare and find a book we both own. She was just so lovely.

I keep seeing videos for our friend Alice popping up, and they are such beautiful tributes. I will miss our buddy reads of Bradbury, and her thoughtful and fun videos and reviews. Most of all I’ll miss her friendship. What a dear heart she had!

Your video is a lovely tribute to Alice. I have just finished Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow on Alice's recommendation and really enjoyed it. This month in the Killer Reads Bookclub we are reading Jack Reacher, who I know was also one of Alice's favourites.

Oh Emily, I've seen quite a few of your videos that you've made in very hard and trying circumstances, and it's clear that this must have been one of the very hardest for you to do.
