Disabling comments on Instagram posts can be done in two ways, depending on whether your post is already published or not:
*Disabling Comments on a New Post:*
1. Open the Instagram app and start creating a new post.
2. Add your photo or video and any captions or edits you want.
3. Before you hit "Share", proceed to the "Next" screen.
4. At the bottom of the screen, you'll see "Advanced Settings." Tap on it.
5. Within "Advanced Settings," find the option for "Turn Off Commenting." Toggle the slider to enable it.
6. Once commenting is turned off, you can hit "Share" to publish your post.
*Disabling Comments on an Existing Post:*
1. Open the Instagram app and navigate to your profile.
2. Find the post where you want to disable comments.
3. Tap the three dots menu in the top right corner of the post.
4. A menu will appear. Select "Turn off commenting" from the options.
By following these steps, you can effectively control who can comment on your Instagram posts. Remember, turning off commenting hides any existing comments on the post. If you decide to turn commenting back on, those comments will reappear.
