Thank you!!! I cleaned & changed needles on my MB4 and ended up with the thread break error on needle #4. I took everything apart again & reseated the needle with no relief (many hours). Then I found your video - my thread sensor had shifted during cleaning and the thread was not running through it. Problem solved and now I know where my thread sensors are.
Came looking to find the problem on my MB-7 throwing the same error repeatedly. Only on #1. Your suggestion didn't resolve my problem, but it did tell me where to start looking. The electrical connector on that board didn't appear to be fully plugged in right. I unplugged and plugged back in. Appears the problem has gone away!
Hola, como estas? Tengo un problema con el mismo modelo de bordadora (Janome MB4). Resulta que el bordado se corre de eje durante la ejecución, se desplaza hacia adelante o atrás. Tenes alguna idea de cuál puede ser el problema?
It did not work for me either. I ended up taking the cover off like he did and used canned air to blow the sensors off really well. It seems to have fixed the problem.
Thanks for the suggestions! I tried the video idea though that did not work... but it got me on the right track. I didn't have compressed air but used my vacuum cleaner to blow (instead of suction) and IT WORKED! My mb7 cleared the "error code". Good luck. Thank you for all your suggestions!!!

Thanks, mate you're a life saver I owe you a cold one.

Thank you! I had a brand new machine with this error, and this worked perfectly! 🙂
What should the top tension setting be set at the tension with turn knobs? Is there a base starting point I can follow?
Can you tell me if you recommend this machine. Love the video, and I don't have the machine yet.
What causes the bobbin thread to show on the top? I have a Janome Mb 4. Thank you for any suggestions.
Check the tension, the bobbin maybe too loose or the thread maybe to tight. You will need to find the balance.

Thank you! This helped tremendously! My problem is also solved.
Thank you VERY much! This fixed my problem ... greatly appreciated!
That did not work - any other suggestions?

Mine was the small electrical connector for the wires going to the board. I reset that connector, and the issue is gone.
