@lucamagic I NEVER SAID THAT THE MOVIES WERE MORE ACCURATE. I am one of the biggest Percy Jackson fans and I know that the show is more accurate but neither of them exactly follow the story line and Disney is trying to be more inclusive so a lot of characters are black or another race which is fine but the inclusivity takes away a lot of the main visual of the characters.
Next to it with the show , they messed-up all of them again
Tbh this is really good in comparison to what they will do in the series

i never read the books, yet i saw the movies, i started watching a lot of percy jackson things and over the time i started to picture annabeth with blond hair , and then i watched the movie again and i was like "wasn't her hair blonde-" then a friend of mine told me that the movie was like an unacurrate fanfiction and the books were a lot different and i'm still trying to get at least the first three books, though i still like the movies, i mean- they introduced me to the pjo fandom and i can't wait for the (bit more accurate) series in disney plus!!! (sorry for my bad english)

Honestly, the movies and the show kinda miss the point of Annabeth. The movies made her really dumb and also she was brunette for some reason? The show just completely missed the point. Athena's children are supposed to have gray eyes and they didn't even try. I'm not trying to be racist or anything and I love the new actor as her own person but why change the classics like this?

In the show, in my opinion they don’t have to look identical to the book characters, besides their personality’s completely matched the show, and honestly it’s really great. But that’s my opinion.

I think that's mostly because Rick said from the beginning that it's not about the looks and he just wants kids who can play his characters well, regardless their appearance. I mean we knew that they probably wouldn't look like they did in the books, so it's fine.

Change the appearances in it as it is not a refresh series and besides Leah is amazing as Annabeth and Walker is also amazing as Percy. You all are just overreacting as Rick made the show and hand picked the actors as they have talent and feel like the characters. And the plot changes is because Rick wrote the lightning thief like 20 years ago with no plans made for the later books and now with the show he has the chance to make a plot with stuff setting up later books and changes that feels better in the show
