Going from Anakan fighting Obi-Wan in Ep. 3 to Vader fighting Obi-Wan in Ep. 4 is just depressing in terms of choreography haha.
The duels in the new one is more like the Vader vs Ben fight than anakan vs obi, which a massive let down in my eyes

Had my wife watch this before we saw The Force Awakens... Thank you for making this!
Say what you want about the three first movies, but the storyline, the base of the history was spot on. How anakin and Padma meet ( the force ;), how Obi Wan trained Anakin poorly, the fall of the Jedi, the rise of Palpatine, the rule of TWO siths, the development of the CLONES. The movies may have been poorly made, but the story line was spot on... I am not sure the new films will be able to be as detailed as the previous six because George Lucas isn't writing them.

i agree with ya there, the prequels stories were much more intricate and expanded the lore a lot whereas so far, the new movies do seem more simplistic like the OT. personally i prefer what the OT and TFA have done rather than the prequels, just because talk of politics and conspiracies arent as appealing to me as a simple story of a rag tag team from small beginnings.
I'd say lucas is a good writer, as shown bythe OT, but when let loose with no one to say no, he did go a little overboard with the prequels. just my opinion :)

The Republic was the excuse, the Separatists were the bait (or the patsy if u like). remember in Revenge Of The Sith, Palpatine ordered the droid army shutdown and sent Anakin (now Vader) to assassinate the remaining Separatist Leaders (Viceroy Gunray ect...) + Order 66 (kill all Jedi). No Jedi = no democracy, no guardians of peace and freedom = Galactic (Sith) Empire... all that, the legal way
No the clones were dismissed when the empire took over, watch Star Wars rebels and you will know. People volunteer to become troopers like in the u.s.

Two question why nobody listen to yoda and why does obi wan let himself get killed
+yusef21595 No idea why Yoda is always ignored, but I heard an interesting theory about why Obi-Wan let himself get killed. It goes that he knew that Luke would not leave him behind no matter what, and would try an save him from Vader and the Stormtroopers, but he also knew that Luke was no match for Vader at this stage. So rather than endangering Luke by making him try and save him, Obi-Wan lets Vader kill him, thereby protecting Luke by keeping him away from Vader.

Main reason was because Obiwan would become much stronger in the force and more valuable to Luke through death. He was able to guide Luke towards the right side of the force and teach him that there is no reason to have fear, etc. which leads to the darkside. (just my thoughts on why he let Vader kill him) also Obiwan says "If you strike me down I'll become more powerful..."

The clone wars is easily better than all of the prequels. It's basically all you have to watch from before episode four. You can watch rebels too, it's not bad.

Those are the versions of the characters that I try to remember when looking at the whole story, especially Anakin who is way better in The Clone Wars than the prequels.

Definitely give it a go! The characters are fantastic.
From a Nana who's never seen the ongoing saga, but needed the Cliff's Notes version to relate to the grandsons. This re-cap was incredible! All I can say is, if you young people can follow this synopsis, you should ALL be getting an "A" in AP European History. More facts than I could take in, but I know there are loads of people who LOVE this series of movies and it's fun to see something entertaining for the masses in tough times.

Dodge Them All Where did you read that the capital moves around? I also just watched the movie and I was so emotionally upset when Corescant was destroyed (although it might not actually be corescant) because the TV series and prequels were what I watched as a kid and got attached to.
