Fantastic! Thanks for posting this. Dave Weckl on drums, but I don't know who are the bass and the guitar players. This looks like a late 80's or early 90's gig....
Guitar is identified on screen as Wesley Plass and bass as Dieter Peteriet, both of whom have plenty of session credits at Allmusic and discogs. Interesting clip - thanks for posting. I'm not too sure about Pickett's histrionics - he certainly has jawdropping control of the altissimo, and he gets the crowd on their feet, but he doesn't make a strong musical statement. The Illinois Jacquet of the 1980s? RT is, as ever, wonderful, but not quite as wonderful as usual.
That's how lenny pickett is gig on snl still the best saxophone player of all time
Richard Tee was awesome, gone too soon
Dude that note he hits when he comes out of the altissimo is CRAZZZY

My man Lenny Doin his thang. Gotta love his incredible range!
LENNY SOUNDS LIKE AMERICA
Some of the best altissimo I've ever heard right there
The Great Lenny Pickett of Tower Of Power and over last 15yrs or so The Music Director of Saturday Night Live .. My bad Professor Lenny Pickett at NYC
That may have been one of the most ridiculous altissimo glissando's I have ever heard! Thanks for posting!

Dave Weckl is the best in the group, his tenure with the Chick Corea Elektric Band yielded some great stuff.

Picket is a damn sax god
Lenny makes me want to practice more. :P
Lenny's my man! Mod my foot. He's a master.
