A few updates since we recorded this (which was nearly two weeks ago):
The Sasori sold on a recent drop at $200, but will retail for $220
Tottori is $450
Machinewise WILL have stock to sell at the show!
Sasori translates to scorpion or scorpionfly, and tottori translates to bird or "to get." They're both Japanese.
that merch hoodie story reminds me of when i went to a basement concert recently and the drummer was at the door handing out masks/earplugs/water etc and complimented my shirt
i didnt recognize them until the moment they said "hey, i like your shirt!" and panic mode set in so hard that i hit them with a really polite "oh thanks, william" and walked on past em
The time is finally here! A few more days and I’ll be headed to meet you guys! I’m so stoked for this weekend!
It’s here!!!!! I’m now so hyped!!!!! 😮
Ricky aka EPS Knives was a judge…he’s another high end flipper
The sasori is the aluminum design and has a specific texture, the tattori is the titanium design which also has a different pattern. You can tell by the wavy texture for tattori and the other is sasori.
Bladeshow west is great. I hope to see you both there.

Having a Sasori right now, I quite like it. Even if it’s a pre-prod model it has me excited to try out a Tottori some day (when my bank and parents are fine with me buying a liveblade, highly unlikely). Though it isn’t on the ol reliable maryn platform, it makes up for it in it’s uniqueness. I sure as hell have never seen a blade shaped quite like a sasori blade yet.
Flipper a tottori earlier today and it’s pretty freaking good super bouncy
Cool podcast and cool channel!
Thanks!
on knife center's website the benchmade necron trainer was listed at 400usd but now its on sale for 360usd. what a deal 😆
holy carp podcast episode
pretty sure MW will have new knives at blade for sale just not sanoras
Man I am really regretting my decision to not go to bladeshow now 😂😭
Oh well, there is always next year!
If anyone has more correct information feel free to correct me but I'm pretty sure other than the Benchmade 87 & 85 which were on bearings none of the Benchmade Balisongs have ever been on bushings other than aftermarket mods
kumi will be bringing at least 1 42 and 1 stock 51 >:3
Sorry sir I am not a groovy people
