Dont you apologize you've been working hard and your pantry is awesome. We're supposed to use what we put up and that's what you're doing! Thanks as always for sharing with us. xoxox
LISTEN UP, KID. YOU ARE DOING GREAT! PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK! What fun videos you are creating and so inspirational, informative, practical, LOGICAL. I've been binge-watching AND TAKING NOTES. Did I say FUN!? 😁 Thanks so very much!
I did my first waterbathed chicken, 3 hrs. Looks great!!! I watched you episode in the pantry of your friend, out salt, pepper. And garlic. Kept adding boiling water to waterbath. Never stopped boiling!! Felt pretty good. Many thanks!🥰💖 love your videos. God bless.
Absolutely awesome pantry! Thank you for sharing all of your hard work and creative ideas! My grandmother (born in 1893) used to say: "Use it up... wear it out... make it do... or do without." and "Waste not... want not" That has served our family well over the years and we are so blessed for her wisdom. Your channel is a breath of fresh air for me... bringing back to light what was just everyday life when I was young. Blessings on your day Kiddo!😊🌻🍁🍂🌼🐛
Makes think of my Happy Place in my home up North of Wisconsin !!! Had over 800 jars to go through before coming down to Illinois!!! The jars were empty but they were all good ones for others to use!!! Kept full ones and BIGGER jars in good condition !!! Meat I would can plain then some with a slice of onion then some with garlic and then some with garlic and onion slices in it !!! I had a lot of vegs green beans yellow ones and mixed beans canned !!! Peaches in quart jars and pickled beets also !!! Did apple sauce that one yr and it was still good for 3 yrs later !!! Miss my big garden and growing blueberries raspberries strawberries !!! 21 plants of rhubarb was by the beets carrots dill yellow & green beans in a row!!! I used to sell the rhubarb to a grocery store it was great !!! Got 9 plants down here now !!!
I live in Europe, and my grandparents used to say that they used to preserve food by drying, smoking, salting, not canning, they ate very seasonally, because here luckily you can grow crops all year round, but even so, this tradition has long since been lost. For some time, for convenience, and now with the current situation, food preservation is once again very important, due to the high production costs and for those who do not have their own land. the good thing about the internet is that it provides global information, but we always have to adapt to our country's reality, pressure canner is rare and expensive, while water bath canner electric is more common, and available second-hand with many recipes on youtube channels in German, now i'm starting to build my pantry. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for sharing with us! You are an inspiration! One day I hope to have a pantry of canned goods like yours! Blessings to you and your family!
You are so right our Puerto Rican food is not spicy. Love your pantry. I also feel the same there is always more you want to can. Have a great day my sister in Christ. A wave 👋 from another Puerto Rican.
I have a 45 day supply of food for me and my fur babies. I use it daily. I help others when I can. So it's never enough and I continue to can. I work full time. I do the prep work and can when I'm off.
I get it! I feel like I have been canning so much and then when I see my pantry shelves I know it won't last. I'll just have to try managing my harvest season better next year. Thanks for sharing!
I understand that you are explaining about some things you expect to get advice or comments on, like your shelves or that you wanted to have more to show us. I don't want Instagram snippets of a perfect anything. I am here to see the reality of what real canning, homemaking, etc. looks like and how you are doing it. This is what it looks like! Please don't apologize for your reality, that is what I'm loving about you and what you share. Thank you ❤️
I'm still in the middle of your fun video, but you can make a lovely stroganoff with your cream of mushroom soup and your canned beef. Cut the meat into smaller pieces (or buzz it up a little in a blender/chopper), and put the mushroom soup and meat in a pot, adding whatever herbs and seasonings you like. Heat through and serve over cooked noodles, baked potatoes, or rice. That would be quick and yummy!
I’m with you, my pretty jars put such a smile on my face. My pantry makes me proud. Ha. I can chili all year long, always need to have that on hand. My recipe for cowboy candy calls for red pepper flakes, I’ve never added it, jalapeños are spicy enough. I don’t know of anyone (no matter how stocked) that looks at their pantry and says “yup, all done!” There’s always something I wished I made, want to make, or want more of.
I have felt the same way at times, however... We spent a week just eating out of our pantry while not putting anything in. We didn't even make a dent in our supplies! We always feel we need 'more' but we just might have 'enough'. Thanks for being a creator! I am just a consumer... I don't have the skills, personality, desire to do what you do. THANKS!
Your pantry is beautiful! I wish I had thought of canning cherry tomatoes, maybe put a cut up chicken in a 9x13 pour cherry tomatoes over, sprinkle with garlic powder and italian seasoning (the dry pizza seasoning from sharp shopper is so good)-cover and bake. I watched Survivor Lilly make "italian tomato sauce" and she canned it in a pan of water in the oven...blew my mind lol. I love learning new ways to can also. 🙂
something that has been helping me to feel.. fulfilled so to say in my “small” to me pantry is a I have a calendar page printed out. Each date with a meal/instructions on it. And then per freezer or pantry labeled with a number to match the calendar. Including sauces/seasoning packs, sticks of butter- it’s all set. I have the pantry items in a tote for this. The items are labeled for each day in its own gallon baggie. and in the freezer a box that has gallon baggies labeled for each calendar day. That way I don’t accidentally use it. Knowing we have 31 days worth of food is how I found comfort that the work paid off and IS enough 😊 I consider that fresh might not be available so I have frozen veggies divided up accordingly (things I don’t have canned, canned items are on the shelf labeled with a number to prevent breaking) in the frozen gallon bags. As well as things that don’t include eggs in case it’s not available, the meal will still be complete. Hope this helps somebody! It’s a little extra work but it’s what helped me feel secure
This is just something I use with my homemade laundry detergent for odors. We've heated with wood, so clothes will sometimes have a smokey odor. Also, we have a farm, so there are DEFINITELY odors abounding some days! 😅 I simply add 1/2 cup vinegar to the wash along with the detergent. No more smells! Vinegar is also a cost effective alternative to fabric softener. Just wanted to share my little tip. LOVE your videos and your sweet spirit.
Sofrito is amazing. This is why I look at canning videos and prepping channels because I never would have thought about canning sofrito. It is so high in the Mexican market and I could make it so cheaply. Don't worry about you storage area. I enjoy your channel.
You just need to pull on the tongue to open those pretty jars. I use the 100 year old Crown jars and glass lids in Canada and those are much harder to open..... so beautiful! The rubber seals don’t have the tongue on it but available everyone in Canada!!! Love your videos!
LOL yes, everytime I shop and get great sales, I tell my husband everything while we're putting all the groceries away. I loved this video. Thank you! 🙂
I made my own laundry detergent in 5 gallon buckets for nearly a year and then I began to notice that our laundry (clothes and household items) were beginning to look grey. So I stopped making it and went back to my old faithful Tide. And I kept a huge wooden spoon to stir the detergent.
Thanks for the pantry tour! I enjoyed seeing what you have canned all together in one place, and how you plan to use it. I make my own laundry soap, the dry kind. But I use Fels Naptha instead of Zote. You might try that change to see if you like it better. I have read from someone who tested both that the Fels Naptha works a lot better. I have never had a problem with smells. For stains, I spray with Shout and for my husband’s extra greasy clothes I add Oxyclean to the wash. I heard you give the disclaimer about the bowing shelves. They look like they are in danger of breaking, and then you would lose most of what you have canned. That would be so sad. You could just cut a board in lengths and put them vertically in the middle of each shelf as an emergency measure, just to save your lovely food. Oh, and I love how clean your basement is! PS: Yesterday I pressure canned pumpkin pie mix, with strained pumpkin, brown sugar and spices. It’s pretty thick and I’m a little nervous about it, but I think it will be fine because sugar inhibits botulism(it’s basically pumpkin butter). I will add the eggs and milk when I make the pies. I canned it at about 13 lbs pressure for 65 minutes, which is the time recommended in a canning book from the 80s, I think.
I put together a beef stew in 5 minutes yesterday. Loving my canned meats also. I have canned so many different products that I normally don’t do that I have run out of space to store it. Still have more that I want to can. We are good on food stuff for almost 2 years. Feeling really good about that. My family appreciates having food to eat no matter what it is.
You made me giggle when you said the kids can't open the weck jars, 😂 nothing wrong with that and I totally understand the "looking at the jars and they give me pure happiness". I am the same way, sometimes I go into my pantry and just look at it all. It, the pantry is MY pride and joy, and I am proud of myself. I am proud of what you do too and thank you for your channel, I love it!!♥️
Just a tip…to thicken sauce I use my dehydrated potato powder or I have beef gelatin I use. I had two bags of cheese nacho chips which needed to be used up….so I powdered it in my blender then dried it in my oven and used it in chili, on top of Mac and cheese and stirred it into melted butter and poured over potatoes. I’m having to go thru all my boxes in the food storage and transfer them into totes, jars, and food buckets because somewhere a mouse is living and made a pile of rice…..BUT I can’t find where the rice came from since I don’t store rice just in the bags. I have traps everywhere….no mouse has shown up. This is so disheartening since I just put up a large of amount of prep and now have to go back and redo. This is in my sewing room and it’s frustrating…..I’m taking scrap pieces of material and using them for wood burner fire starters, the rest of yardage I’m putting into totes and putting them up in my art studio in my barn……lots of up and down….😟 I use to have a Mennonite prep book that used oven canning for dry goods…have you done any of this? They did homemade noodles with dehydrated eggs in some, herbs in others….
I think it all looks great. Do not apologize. Your videos have been so informative and inspiring. Canning has become an on going thing for me too. Thank you.
You are an awesome woman! Great pantry and that is what it's supposed to be like if you can all year! My mother only canned in the summer and it took all summer into the fall. It takes sooo many more jars when everything goes on the shelf at the same time. Also takes a lot more shelf space. I like canning year round so I am not so tied to the house in the summer. I also shop meat sales and love to can that as well. I think canned meat is my very favorite thing to have on hand. Knowing it didn't cost much makes it even better! Your channel is a real gem and I always get excited when you post something new! Blessings to you and your family. Thank you for all you share with us!
I just just found your channel and I subbed. A word of warning about the mylar bags. They aren't rodent proof. Those little buggers will chew right through them so you might want to store them in a Rubbermaid bin or metal trash can. Those weck jars are beautiful! I need to get some. I have 8 kids. They are all grown now and on their own but when they were little they loved tubs of frosting from the store. My husband would buy them and cake mixes when they were on sale. I'd make a cake and then have no frosting because hubby and the kids would eat them. So one day I got the brainy idea to just freeze them. But then my oldest son discovered that frozen frosting was like eating fudge so that didn't work at all! I have some tattler lids but I have never got them to hold a seal. I don't know what I'm doing wrong! When the kids were little I used to can, freeze, or dehydrate (mostly can) a thousand quarts of food a year and I still worried it wasn't enough. I loved canning soups and meats. Easy meals during a busy day. I'd use the meats in casseroles and one dish meals or with gravy over noodles or mashed potatoes. Its just my husband and I now but I still can. Today I have meatballs to make and can plus a box of sweet potatoes to do this weekend. I'm like a squirrel! I can't ever feel like I have enough on my shelves!
I'm from Europe where Weck jars are pretty much a standard. Here is a tip to open them. It's so easy! Just pull strait (horizontally) on the orange rubber seal, and it will open with no fight at all. Hush, don't tell your kids ;-)
I love Pantry tours! Yesterday we went to our best friends and toured her Pantry. I am a geek about that 🥰 It showcases, all the hard work and beauty of the real food. feel exactly as you. I’ve been canning everyday for 6 weeks and look at my shelves and think “that’s all?” Thank you for sharing!
The see through part in the tomato juice jars is the liquid from the seed pockets in the tomatoes. I use an electric juicer and it removes the skin and seeds and they don't have the separation. When i did the whole tomato cook down for ketchup it took 3 days and I had to run it through the hand crank juicer after the tomatoes got soft. Ive done the sauce after running through the electric juicer raw and then cooked for 36 hours until it was plain tomato sauce. Now I can use it anything to make other products. I appreciate your videos and time to get them on here, thank you.
We're just so appreciative of sharing your wisdom and hard work with us! Don't worry about how your kitchen looks like. That's the kitchen of every busy homemaker! Praying that the Lord bless you and protect you, your family, and all your hard work.
I love it that you can water bath everything. I have a porcelain top stove and hate to get the camp stove out to pressure can. I have already broken one stove top canning so I bought an electric water bath canner that I love! I can plug it up out on the porch and keep the heat out of the house! Love it!
OK, REGARDING THE CHERRY TOMATOES, just toss them in a soup/broth. I remember when my mother made a quick soup she just threw in whole/halved tomatoes into the broth pot with the celery/carrots/onions/parsley...it tinted the broth a bit and added a fnice light flavour. Just use them up that way.
Just wanted to let you know I have just got finish d canning about 35# of "Susie's potatoes" this week!! So beautiful! Haven't tried them yet but am loving the "Amish" way of canning! Been canning all weekend, chili, soup, cherries, red hot candy apples and potatoes! All water-bath method! Have a pressure canner but am loving the Amish way, keep up the recipes and ideas! Lovin your channel girl!!
Your pantry is beautiful. And don’t feel bad about not growing your food this year. You have an awesome community near you with access to some of the freshest produce. Health issues didn’t allow me to can much or grow much either, but I’m still trying to can, freeze, store something every day. And OMG, I’m so glad you showed your pie filling. I still need to make some.
Never use a knife to open Weck. Just pull at the rubber lid. Hold the glass and gently pull the rubber flap.. You will hear a " tssj" and the vacuum is broken. And you can take the glass lid of. And you can re use the rubber ring until its dried out and crackly.
You could use a few “T” supports from one shelf up to the next in a couple of the shelves. Recommendations on the Cowboy Candy? Find a friend who loves it hot and give it to them as a gift. Then make. Me lower version for yourself.
I love off-the-cuff pantry tours. I, too, am continually thinking there's more that I want to add! Random question - where do you get your headbands? So cute!
I've been WBing everything for 50+ yrs. USA. All from my ancestors/foreign recipes. They all lived to be in their 90s. By the time you wait for the pressure canner to heat up and come down it ends up being the same time as WBing. Most meats I can for two hours. I don't can anything over 2 hours. Love your channel!! Keep up the good work. 🤗
Canned meat is so much of a time saver. Your pantry is perfect. I wish we had Amish closer to us, our local farmers market is during church so inconvenient.
I wanted to let you know the potatoes are wonderful mashed they taste like baked potatoes the first jar I made were sticky because I heated them up in the broth I canned them the second time I drained the liquid rinsed them and added Enough water so they didn’t stick out my lid on until they are hot drained that put them back in the stove to get all the liquid out they are so good this way thanks Elizabeth
Ask your local Amish about buying your beef in bulk. It’s a large amount of money at once but saves you a lot in the long run. When buying a 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or whole cow is so much easier. I have a family of 4 and a whole cow will last us two years so we are only buying beef once every two years. I usually can 1/2-3/4 of it and keep the rest frozen. Hope this helps
Hi! Jody here from Indiana. Richard my man. I LOVE your channel! I spoke with my mother and aunt. Have never canned. My man and I bought 5 acres and a house, so big garden in the plan. I will waterbath EVERYTHING! Thanks for your bravery stepping out and letting us newbies know.
The pantry looks fantastic! I’m in the same boat….I think I have canned a ton only to find I want/need so much more to feel confident that we’re food secure. You can add a cup of white vinegar to your laundry detergent to cut smells. The acid in vinegar helps to neutralize smells, especially pet mishaps. The cherry tomatoes can be used in the same way you use your diced tomatoes. They will cook down in chili or other soups or stews.
Pleaase don't apologize. It was interesting to see, and whether or not you look at the camers, it doesn't make one bit of difference to me, personally. You're doing a fantastic job at this whole "life" thing, and you are an inspiration. Hugs
Hello. I saw you live show on Instagram and enjoyed it and learned so much. I am so excited to find your channel. I am so looking forward to learn more about canning and food preservation.
Your pantry looks good my Dear! Take those tiny tomatoes, drain them and run through blender for sauce, soups or the beans. A nice fresh made salsa would be good too. You are very well organized.....as your storage pails state...Well done! I wish I could send you some wild blueberries - you would like them better me thinks. Things look great! Do not feel the need to apologize - You are doing a great job...I too am canning a little at a time and will can all year round - it is a working pantry and that is the way it should be! I keep my sauerkraut in my second fridge because I want the health benefits of the ferment....I smiled at two freezers as I just bought two more 9 cu ft ones, for a total of 5! LOL. Take care, keep smiling and God Bless!
Seeing what you have in your pantry is giving me ideas for mine. I am new to canning and did not know what kind of items to can behind pie fillings and tomatoes. So thank you for sharing. p.s. I had to laugh a when you said you could not keep your chicken broth in stock. Thats the dad jock for the day.
Hi! I just found you last night on Instagram! you had at canning and when you mentioned Jesus! Even though I do not really can anything , I just make few jars a year in vinegar. I made the potatoes 2 weeks ago and they are way too good I am making half gallon! I used yellow small potatoes with some garlic and habanero, it gives a hint of spicy only. I was looking for a Q&A video but you don't have any. Love your life style! I make sofrito too, always frozen, and I have many variations of it. On my last one instead of using bell peepers, since ajies dulce are not available here I used a bag of those colorful sweet peppers and WOW! it made a huge difference! I will never use bell pepper for sofrito again! I will be watching all of your videos to catch up and maybe do some real canning. I want to can beans and meat to see how that works! Anyways nice to meet you. I live in ND and originally from DR How about you? If it is ok for me to ask? Be blessed you and your family in Jesus name!🥰 🌻🥦
Enjoying this video while enjoying some spicy pickled okra I canned from our garden this year!! Thank you Skipper for some great ideas that I will use in my pantry especially the cowboy candy, not sure how I missed that video
Great job, Leilani! How about starting a pantry challenge? We used to do that on a freezer group. You had to use what you had for a whole month with only perishables like salad, milk, bread, etc. from the store. It’s a great way to see what you need to fill in.
I’m so happy to hear you say everything can be water bath canned ! I have yet to pressure can and I’m gonna try your recipes! I mean people were canning long before pressure canners! Keep it up Skippy! ❤️ from Kristy in Missouri zone 6b, met in Hannibal 😃🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Boneless, skinless chicken breast, cold packed, are an easy first pressure can item. Cube, Pack tight in wide mouth pint jars, wipe jar rim with white vinegar, lid. Finger tight rings. Pressure can for time & pressure.
I feel the same way. I'm making stock right this minute. I want to water bath this, but scared to. It's a lot of work for it to go to waste. I'm afraid of messing up.
Add vinegar to your Prince cycle. It might remove the smoke scent. Vinegar works like a clarified, by removing soap residue and you won’t smell vinegar on your laundry. Just found your channel...great content, so I subscribed.
For cherry tomatoes, do eggs in purgatory. Sauté some onions and sausage in a skillet. Add a couple pints of tomatoes. Get it hot and bubbly then crack eggs into the mix and let them cook. Think of it as pouched eggs. Scoop some of the mixture with an egg into a serving bowl and add a piece of toast on the side. It’s a wonderful breakfast. If you want a budget meal, skip the sausage
I have been canning my sofrito for a few years and it’s the one thing that gets used and I need it 😊. I make a year worth. It’s a lot of work but it’s so worth it. I did once have an issue with the ají dulce. It was a spicy one. I found out when I touched my face after I was done cutting it up. My face was messed up but my sofrito was saved 😆 thank you for sharing the pantry tour, it definitely inspires. ❤
I work in a meat department at my local supermarket. Love my "deals of the day" shopping. My goal is to spend less than what I save yet buying things we use.
I too buy my produce from our Amish friends. I just don't have the time or energy to manage a big enough garden to yield enough for us. They also raise a cow and hog for us to butcher each year. I freeze and can all the meat.
Thank you so much for the pantry tour! (That jar of red peppers is SO GORGEOUS!! 😍) You've given me some new ideas. Although I've been making jams and pickles since I was a kid, this is my first year actually canning and it's so exciting! Also, with inflation and the world in general feeling so insecure, it feels really good to be able to provide my family at least some food security. It takes time to build the pantry up and "fine tune" and videos like yours are so helpful. God bless you and your family!
A tip for opening the weck jars is to pull the orange tongue straight out, so it stretched a little, it breaks the seal, making it easier to pop the lid off.
Don't apologize hon. A lot of people are very creative in the kitchen with meals and enjoy the challenge of cooking something different every day. But it's not only possible to cook and eat the same meals on a rotating basis it actually removes a lot of stress from being in the kitchen. Husbands and kids also love knowing what's coming. If a meal gets old just retire it for a while. I don't cook much at all anymore but when I did I had seasonal meals. Hot weather meals, cold weather meals and special event meals. You're doing great and I love your videos and kudos to you for being brave enough to challenge the rules!!!
Pantry is great. Cherry tomatoes, they are great to add to a vegetable you are going to bake in the oven. For instance if you bake broccoli or cauliflower or green beans in the oven add the cherry tomatoes and a little garlic perhaps and some olive oil or cooking oil.
Wow those wreck jars are really pretty! I made cowboy candy first time this year. Had my son go get a jar to add to our chili as a topper (so good). He informed me we only have 1 jar left. Lol I left out the cayenne pepper so it wouldn’t be hot and added 3 habaneros I had from my garden. Only savings was that I really chopped them tiny. Plan on making more soon.
So excited to see a new video pop up. You’ve really motivated me to get back into canning. And now stocking a pantry. Grocery store is too expensive. Thank you for sharing the experiments, successes and not so perfect times. It’s authentic. It helps us not give up if something doesn’t turn out! Love your channel
Never apologize. You have what’s called a working pantry. You are doing what others only dream of. Good job sister
You are supposed to pull the tab a little to release the seal on a weck jar.
To open the Weck jars the easiest way to do it is to pull out the gasket between at the lip of the gasket.
God bless.
Wasn't it an awesome series? I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED IT!
Isn't chicken supposed to be pressure canned??🤔
I absolutely love your channel and am in the midst of your potatoes as I watch this. Thank you ❤
You have done a fabulous job! Your kids will always have these wonderful memories of what "real food" tastes like💪
Absolutely awesome pantry!
Yes! & if you leave hungry it's your own fault🤭
You can use the cherry tomatoes in your sauces. They make a wonderful pizza sauce, add them to your spaghetti sauce, or a bolognese sauce.

I use castle soap for body wash and shampoo I put a little apricot oil in my shampoo

beautiful canned bbq goods. I made potato salad with my potatoes. Turns out really good.

Wow!! That is very impressive! Wish I could be so organized!
You talk about the Amish a lot so I wondered if you were in PA…me too! Great job, lovely pantry.
This is just something I use with my homemade laundry detergent for odors.
We've heated with wood, so clothes will sometimes have a smokey odor. Also, we have a farm, so there are DEFINITELY odors abounding some days! 😅
I simply add 1/2 cup vinegar to the wash along with the detergent.
You’re fabulous!! I’ve learned so much, watching your channel… sending you health, happy and loving blessings…
I freeze my broth in ziplock bags now because I use it up so fast. Thank you for the pantry tour. You gave me some ideas
This is in my sewing room and it’s frustrating…..I’m taking scrap pieces of material and using them for wood burner fire starters, the rest of yardage I’m putting into totes and putting them up in my art studio in my barn……lots of up and down….😟
I use to have a Mennonite prep book that used oven canning for dry goods…have you done any of this?
Thank you for sharing your pantry with us!! You do a great job and are an inspiration to me!! God bless you! 👵❤
You crack me up because I admire my jars too after I make things LOL I'm glad to know I'm not the only one 🤓
I love it that you can water bath everything. I have a porcelain top stove and hate to get the camp stove out to pressure can. I have already broken one stove top canning so I bought an electric water bath canner that I love! I can plug it up out on the porch and keep the heat out of the house! Love it!
It's great to see your face! Just work it little by little! God's got us!
Great stuff, thanks for the tour.
Do take extra care of yourself, it doesn't take much to get run down... but it's a Big Hill then to get back up.
😊
To UPenn the Wreck jar and not damage the rubber ring, pull the tab.
For the Weck jars, just pull gently on the little tab on the rubber thingy - that will break the seal easily.
You can add those cherry tomatoes to any tomato based soup. You can add them to taco meat, spaghetti sauce.
Your pantry is beautiful!! I love that your freezer is right there in the same area. Hope you’re well!
Awesome pantry. You’ve put in a lot of work. Well worth it ❤
I once gave a jar to a friend and had to go over to her home and open the jar for her! Just pull the tongue and the seal opens 👍
I love your pantry!! I preserve a lot but mostly buy my veggies also. 💛
That was really interesting. I loved the intro. I felt I was a little mouse in the corner watching your world. Great video!
Be blessed you and your family in Jesus name!🥰
🌻🥦
Just blend up those little cherry tomatoes in a puree and use them as sauce, in soup etc. Best way to use those babies up.
I only water bath!!
Thank you for taking the time to put up this video. I enjoyed seeing your pantry and how you use your canned products. Blessings
I look at my pantry and feel as though it’s not enough all the time. I also have a hard time using my stash. 😝
I ground cornmeal fresh from the field.
very easy to open weck jars, just pull down gently on the rubber ring (the porttion that sticks out.
A tip for opening the weck jars is to pull the orange tongue straight out, so it stretched a little, it breaks the seal, making it easier to pop the lid off.
Thank you. I know this but my kids don’t 😂😂😂
@@MakeitMake hahahahaha..probably best to keep it that way
Don't apologize hon.
Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
Pantry is great. Cherry tomatoes, they are great to add to a vegetable you are going to bake in the oven. For instance if you bake broccoli or cauliflower or green beans in the oven add the cherry tomatoes and a little garlic perhaps and some olive oil or cooking oil.
Nice!! Now I kniw of another Boricua that enjoys canning!! Awesome. GOD BLESS YOU/DIOS TE BENDIGA!!!!
Beautiful setup . I would love to have a basement..love my can milk been doing for a long time Blessings ❤️
Add a cup of white vinegar to your laundry and it takes out all the stinky smells. It even takes out body Oder that lingers on the sheets and towels
Thank you 😊
You can used the canned cherry tomatoes in chili, stews, soup and with tomato sauce over pasta.
blend up the cherry tomatoes and make your tomatoe soup with them.
Wow!! Great pantry! So neat and clean and organised!
I love your content. You do so much for your family, you’re so inspiring.
