I know right?! John's solos wouldn't sound half as good without Flea's baselines and Chad's solid beats... Most of them wouldn't even exist without that rhythm section!!
Fleas probably the more widely praised tbh, well he should be and is in my opinion. Chad is definitely the one who need a more praise out of the three. Absolute tank on the drums. Been a while since I've had a chillis binge. Their funk jams are defo their best shiyt.
@@TheLouisBarnes they are THE rhytm section of modern rock and roll, I mean most ppl can't even name the bass players for bands..flea and chat are cream of the crop
Weird statement to make about Flea. This is almost like saying "lets not forget about Paul McCartney [of the Beatles]"... No one has forgotten about Flea.
when they jam its better than what most bands are capable off, pleasure and honour to have witnessed them live with frusciante several times and the jams always rock!! ax god heaven
Funky Monks opens with 18-yr-old John on a roof in LA, talking about portals to the fourth dimension. In his last solo, (7:15ish) Frusciante clearly levitates. Perfection
5:37 I sat and taught myself how to play the intro to this when I was around 14 because of how awesome I thought it was. Needless to say it’s still the one of the best jams I’ve ever heard
I Love the intros man, SO Great, the Chili Peppers are Legends. On a different note, it's awesome how well Flea's Fingerstyle Technique translates over to a Jazz Bass. Those things will fight you a lot more than a modulus or a musicman, but he keeps that strong style just SLAMMIN those strings. He really is a beast. As are they all.
Woah, I just noticed that all these intros are all in the same key!!! That means they kind of just come up with a different groove each time but still keep the overall progression. That's interesting. This is probably why their intros sound so great. They have spent so much time with that progression over the years!!
Nope, that is Stevie Ray Vaughan's and Kenny Wayne Shepherd's spot! Sure John knows how to play with command feedback and a few of Jimi's other "wild stuff"....but the guitar playing isn't the same. SRV and KWS have it ALL!!
The new Chili Peppers stuff is good, and Josh is a great guitar player. A friend of mine listened to Rian Dance Maggie and said "it's good, but it's just missing something." That "something" is soul. What cannot be replaced is the soul of the band which was John. Without his melodic riffs and Hendrix like licks, we have a tamer version of the band.
These guys can rock an intro jam!.... Sometimes the best thing about a concert is these imporv highlights that youll hear then, and theyll never play again, in the same way amyway.... The songs are the scipt... This stuff shows the quality of these guys
Fender really needs to do a Flea signature. Slap a humbucker on a jazz bass body and do a crazy paint job. I would definitely buy it! Seems like he's using that vintage jazz bass and the modulus quite a bit now
Me encanta el jam del 2:26 comienzan a diferente compás y luego en el 2:56 se acomoda Flea, ayudado por Chad, que le marca el cambio, y Flea sólo se ríe... los adoro
man that band carry's each other , frusciante and flea wouldnt get the effect without chad keeping them togetre , anthony wouldnt be able to sing without those 3 giving him the music , also the only could make that music becauze anthony sings the way he sings .. I think this band all need each other to sound and be the way they are .. Plz mister frusciante , join them once more , it would be an honor to be able to see you guys live someday
The first song they are most likely to play at live shows is Can't stop, which is in Em. After some of those intro's you can hear Flea and Chad playing the Can't stop intro.
Seen them live three times. Their ability to improv funk jam on the spot is surreal and the energy radiates
Welcome to the Johnny Hendrix experience
Eric Cody that doesnt really work cause jimi's real name was john hendrix
Maxwell Carpenter James Marshall Hendrix
+Oli Lynch he was originally named Johnny Hendrix. His dad changed his name when he was a kid to James
Jimmy Frusciante 😁
The old man at 5:10 is getting flashbacks of hendrix
The three of them have a special chemistry.
I think it can help!

My God this is amazing. John is the greatest ever, but combined with flea there's just no words to describe...
Combined with Flea AND Chad*
lets all give a round of applause for flea and chad as well guys

This. Fucking. Jam.

Max Van Westerop I can't get over how amazing this jam is....I miss the guy :(

Love you john, wherever you are
god bless youtube, RHCP intro jams are in a league of their own
Funky Monks opens with 18-yr-old John on a roof in LA, talking about portals to the fourth dimension. In his last solo, (7:15ish) Frusciante clearly levitates. Perfection
I didn't want this video to end
John Frusciante's guitar playing makes me feel everything.
5:37 I sat and taught myself how to play the intro to this when I was around 14 because of how awesome I thought it was. Needless to say it’s still the one of the best jams I’ve ever heard
It would be awesome to hear Flea, Chad, and John record their own album. I can hear some Funkadelic in a lot of these jams.
Alex X Check out The Empyrean by John. Sounds pretty similar on some parts.
They do it in a bend called Red Hot Chili Peppers bro 🤣
2:44 You can see John pick crossing the screen, 2:50 John picks another pick while staying in the groove. BOSSMODE !
I Love the intros man, SO Great, the Chili Peppers are Legends.

+Chef Paul heey is beautifool fan de john frustiante! cool!
Chef Paul They are in the same key because they always play Can't Stop after it which is in E, so they jam in E so it flows nicely into Can't Stop.
How do you freak out more than John in body and sound and have it be so perfect? John is the freaking man.
Chad absolutely obliterated that set in London.
JOHN IS BACK IN RHCP OMFG IT'S HAPPENING!
I bet those three loved jamming together.
John is the son of hendrix
Hendrix died 1970 then Frusciante was born the same year so sounds about right.
reincarnation? lol
Facundo Gonzalo Tejera reincarnication
Nope, that is Stevie Ray Vaughan's and Kenny Wayne Shepherd's spot!
Sure John knows how to play with command feedback and a few of Jimi's other "wild stuff"....but the guitar playing isn't the same.
SRV and KWS have it ALL!!
but hi is white 🤔
This is too fucking much for me, it blows my mind
+Julian Schamun
Pick it up 3:15 here!
+rich soar YES MAN hahahahaha that was SICK!
+Jack the Dipper Yea, if it was a prelude to a bigger and heavier band part....
rich soar what show is that one? the word sick is not enough!
rhcp should be rewarded for best intro jams,,of all time
That first jam gave every band on the planet an ass whoopin’.
Im going the a red hot concert in 2 months, its a shame i will never see Frusciante, the fucking greatest guitarist since Hendrix
Gustavo Santiago Never say never...🎉
How about now?
I want a whole concert of it!
I was looking for something to listen to, tearing youtube apart, looking for some heavy techno or something, then I came across. I am fulfilled.
5:37 In my opinion, the best of these jams. That guitar riff is incredible!
The new Chili Peppers stuff is good, and Josh is a great guitar player. A friend of mine listened to Rian Dance Maggie and said "it's good, but it's just missing something." That "something" is soul. i cant believe how perfect he play... its just amazing what john,,,ALWAYS,.

Amazing this part!!!
all these jams need to be about 5 mins longer
unbelievable jams - I wish you didn't cut so soon though, let each one sink in!
i really miss these intros
5:08 That man has been so amazed from the music that he doesn't record with his video camera :P
Insane guitarist.
I feel sorry for the bands they played with..
the first jam is damn great.
the bass sound is evil man. nice :D
hear it as loud as you can!!
7:15 Intro jam from Indjija, Serbia. I was there.
And I was fuckin' blessed.
Long live RHCP.
~over.
there should be an album of these
Flea + John + Chad = EXTRA JAM !
This was always the most fun John had with the band. John loves music more than he loves the peppers
i litterally can't get rid of this
3:34 John is liberated
Love the 61 Jazz bass

Fender really needs to do a Flea signature. Slap a humbucker on a jazz bass body and do a crazy paint job. I would definitely buy it! Seems like he's using that vintage jazz bass and the modulus quite a bit now
That jazz bass hasn't been in his rig for a very long time.
Dawson Fry well your prayers have been answered lol, flea last year launched his own signature jazz bass look it up
2:15 perfect color match
AWESOME!!! if you keep posting videos of intro james you will be my hero
I've never heard a guitar scream as much and sounded so violent as in the intro to Green Fest @7:35
the hyde park intro is awesome too!
I cried from your comment because i was waiting for it then! hahah
The best band ever!! John is my guitar God...
They should make a four cd album of just their jams
speechless...
John Frusciante, great display of beating and raping your guitar! This man is INSANE on the guitar.
IS insane, please :D
@twinkle8539 Yo still far away the best intro jam compilation. That so fookin' hot. Red Hot! 500. comment btw ;) peace out
Goosebumps...
TOTALLY AWESOME! I hope Josh could get to the point wherein he can just flow with Chad and Flea just like John does...
He definitely did before John came back
Me encanta el jam del 2:26 comienzan a diferente compás y luego en el 2:56 se acomoda Flea, ayudado por Chad, que le marca el cambio, y Flea sólo se ríe... los adoro
This is why Josh can never REALLY replace John...
John is my heart/Flea is my soul
they hit soo fucking hard. It is amazing.
this video is priceless, lots of f*cking jams all in one... AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Damn, makes me wish they were a strictly instrumental band.
John and flea carry this band
Chad's no slouch either to be honest.
man that band carry's each other , frusciante and flea wouldnt get the effect without chad keeping them togetre , anthony wouldnt be able to sing without those 3 giving him the music , also the only could make that music becauze anthony sings the way he sings ..
I think this band all need each other to sound and be the way they are ..

Notice how the description dates these jams 2006-2007.
did anyone else notice that these were all em or e7 jams?
how do you tell
by the way it sounds or just looking at Johns hands
+TheShankPimp not very well trained in fretboard position and scales and such.
its the tone of anthony and the sound of rhcp is most by his voice(i mean, the key haha)
The first song they are most likely to play at live shows is Can't stop, which is in Em. After some of those intro's you can hear Flea and Chad playing the Can't stop intro.
WOnder how man can't stop intros there are on this vid
Awesome - thanks for posting

live performance like no other.....
