• 7 Very British Things ...
The rain is what gives us our green and pleasant land 🏴
And our lovely flower-filled Spring is what we earn by surviving another boring neither- one-thing or another Winter
In most theatres when we re-vamp them we use the same materials and building techniques from the period they were build in to keep them authentic
When I want to sit down for half an hour or so, drink a cup of tea and relax, I like to tune in and see what you two are up to - all that laughter - so I know 'something' is going on. I've watched this video before, but I still watched it again just to hear you laugh. Love from the UK xxx
I used to live in Canterbury, quite near Sandwich (the town). There's also another place nearby called, Ham. If you approach on the road from a particular direction you do come across a road sign the reads, Ham Sandwich.
Hi ladies. thought i woukd give you some context into the UK, the oubs and the sunday roast. The UK is around the size of the state of ohio. In the uk, a few years ago there were around 59000 pubs. if you take texas, which is one of your biggest states, there is only around 29000 bars.
The sunday roast. most pubs, do pub food during the week, bar food as you have heard. but most pubs on a sunday only sell sunday roast, the sunday roast is like your 4th of july dinner, but we have have pork beef gammon and some do lamb, in the pubs. We have sunday roast at home, if we are having family, we tend to go to the pub, taking the kids and grandparents, 3 generations some times 4. because our houses are small on average, its easier to go out and chill. with average sunday roast, costing around 10 pounds or 12 dollars. and about 10 dollars during the week
It's weird, we have a pre-made sandwich culture where as the states has great delis. I'm pretty sure, you'd struggle to think of many world cuisines that you can't find somewhere in London? The UK is kept warm by the Gulf stream (warm water that flows up from the caribbean). If it wasn't there, London winters would be as cold as Chicago or Moscow 🥶
The trick to crispy roast potatoes is cook them in fat (lard, dripping or put them in with the roasting meat) not oil, oil just soaks into the potatoes and makes them greasy.
There’s a TH-cam channel called MemorySeekers that makes great videos of the UK. I’ve recently watched a video of trips that are a few hours travel from London which will give a really accurate picture of what there is ti see…. Highly recommend this to you. As someone else has said on here, your joy and laughter are a real treat! Keep it up and thanks! Btw I live near Canterbury in Kent, south east England…
Weather depends on where you are, I live in one of the driest areas of England and can’t remember the last time we had snow. The further North or west you go, the wetter it gets and the more snow they get.
She's rich, M & S and Waitrose are the most expensive shops in the uk.Most use tesco, asda and morrisons.
Yeah but she said which are best....sure we use the normal supermarkets.....but if I'm claiming back the money then M&S kick ass (excuse me😊) you'll be on holidays, treat yourself
@@richarddavies4322 Not sure what you mean by the comment about claiming back the money, I take it you are talking to the young ladies about being on holiday treat yourself, certainly doesn't apply to the average Brit, we still use the normal supermarkets whilst on holiday if we can afford to go.
One of the best Jamaican food restaurants probably in the world is in Bristol, The St Pauls community café serves Jamaican food that is absolutely amazing.
I'm south London born and bred. There's a good Jamaican take away on pretty much every high street and all the supermarkets sell patties.
The different cultural food you can get all over England, not just London. Just had to say because most videos you watched just go on with how much London is multi cultural.
FYI: Wherever you are in the UK, you are no more than 70 miles from the coast. So, allowing for road conditions etc., you can be at the sea within a two hour drive...
A little later this year I will be going to North Yorkshire with my little dog, her first time away from home. In my younger years I climbed the three peaks, not one after the other like she has, but Pen-y-ghent I did run up and back down in just under two hours, it's the smallest of the three, but I would say the second most difficult to climb, Whernside was next and Ingleborough the day after, Ingleborough is the middle one but the most difficult by far, but all are stunning and have pubs where you can sit and watch those climbing while having a pint or two or "you get the idea" 😂
You have the best of both worlds really.., eating delicious food whilst walking around admiring majestic architecture. There's
so much greenery and parks too. Oh! Searching for fossils on certain beaches is fun too.
You need a 12 hour hike to burn off your Full English followed by your Sunday Roast lol 😂
One of the main things that makes us different from the US, is that to call somebody a racist is a very bad thing. It tends to bring out the 'psycho' in us. Which in many cases, is not too far below the surface.
OK. Brit here. Every bum student has to know this: You get a big steel pot, and a blender, And a big bag of onions and some garlic cloves and some root ginger. Then you blend them up into what we call the 'Green sauce' You can freeze that stuff. But when you turn that into a real curry, you take your green sauce and add a bit of tomato puree and turmeric and paprika, and I don't really know how tricky it really is to get hold of spices in the USA, but you are going to need a pile of cumin. And maybe some chili, but dont add too much. Unless you are a drunk student. Then you got to fry up your meat. With a few more spices. You can cook up a dead cat and it will taste magic in a good curry. I did it myself once.
3 peake challenge. That was magic (I've not done it, i just loved your reactions)
Sandwich is a town in Kent.👍
Every UK city is multicultural people always say London this, London that which makes it sound like anything outside of the capital has no diversity. Every person who makes yt videos about their UK experiences says the same thing! There's so much Britain has to offer, London is a just a small part. I love our beaches and countryside the most. I live in the countryside yet only 3 miles away from 7 beaches and coves!❤🇬🇧😉
She said the 16th century which is 1500s
The old cliche: "Theres's no such thing as bad weather: only bad clothing."
No, the pub dated back to the 16th century - that’s the 1500s!
Hi it doesn't rain all the time we do get nice weather here to but we are a cool climert and we are use to the change
It doesn't get cold in the UK , all it is your wearing the wrong clothes .
Idk where in london she lives, but she must literally leave her house and go to work and then home again. She doesn't know much about London. It's one of the greenest cities in Europe and it's classed as a forest. I was forever in parks, woods, and forests all over London with my last 2 dogs.
Been to London several times and love it ☘☘☘
Ladies, take it from a true born Englishman. There is nowhere in the British Isles ,where you can walk uphill constantly for 12 hours..😁🤭😂
CYN is on about potato`s roasted in DUCK FAT , AMAZING
Making some Now.🤭🤤
Don't wish to offend you but this is becoming tedious the 16th century is not the 1600s it is the 1500s the 17th century is 1600s the 18th century is the 1700s and so on Americans seem to think the 16th century means the 1600s it doesn't. So i will clarify the 16th century runs from 1500 to 1599 I'm sure you'll realise we are now in the 21st century but are clearly not in 2100
