Maybe they will officially connect the OG universe with the regular SRW series. Kyosuke, Masaki and Ryusei were fighting together with the some of the mainstay SRW entries in ACE(Another Century's Episode), and that is canon according to Masaki's EX route in OG2nd.

Seems like the plot outline is: A planet is being invaded by an extraterrestrial threat that will cause a rain of fire, contamination of the atmosphere, evaporating oceans, and destruction of cities. Humanity have one year before their destruction, and it looks like the Voyage group are referred as Steel Giant. (I could be wrong) But yeah can't wait for this game, the Yamato Fighter Squad attack looks so nice. (Though I'm hoping Katou and Akira are playable, if they're summon attack only I'd be fine as well.) Looking forward to your playthrough of this.

Hey Bao! Newcomer here. Appreciate the video and am a fan of the mecha/sci-fi side of anime. I've only heard about SRW relatively recently and V just today. Call me very intrigued. Sounds like you've turned a few people on to this series. I think I'd like to start my SRW journey with V, but how difficult do you think it will be to snag a copy of the English-localized version? What other tidbits of SRW goodness can you share that might open my eyes a little wider to what this type of game has to offer those of us in the West who are very interested in this genre of anime? Pre-orders should still be open on playasia. OG 1 on the gba is where a lot of people start the series, but that one has only original characters in it. Still amazing though. Almost every major game in the series has a story summary/translation on the internet and the community is always willing to help people (myself included) so don't be afraid to tackle any particular game that catches your eye. For the most part though, these games are more about the crossover character interactions and visuals rather than difficulty so keep that in mind.

I'm an old school SRW veteran so I keep wanting Banpresto to bring back Grendizer, Combattler-V, Daimos, Voltes-V and many others we have not seen in a long time. Heck I would even be okay with Ideon even if he's annoying to use. I also had the same reaction you did for the originals being back. I love Huckbein and Grungust.

Victory Gundam also needs to be in there in the sequel just because every Super Wars entry with one letter has always had the corresponding Gundam series with that same letter if there was one. Super Robot Wars Alpha-Turn A Gundam(Alpha Gaiden) Super Robot Wars W-Gundam Wing Endless Waltz Super Robot Wars Z-Zeta Gundam(Z2 onwards) Super Robot Wars V has to have Victory Gundam, especially considering this game will be on the Vita. I predicted there would be a Super Robot War V as soon as the Vita came out years ago, and I also really insisted Victory Gundam be in it back then too.
I actually hope you have the options to change Cross Ange's story. Imagine a scene in the game where the Mana leaders are flipping out over the sudden army of Super Robots who have joined the Norma. And then that damn brother of Ange ends up shutting his pants.
The new originals didn't really impress me THAT much, though the second one's Macross Missile Massacre was kinda neat. What I'm REALLY happy about is the Huckebein/Wildschwein making a comeback! WHOOOO!! And Grungust is pretty cool too. Oh, and for the record, when the first trailer came out, I SQUEALED when they revealed that they had Brave Express Might Gaine in there. No joke. They better have "Great Dash!!" for Great Might Gaine's BGM, though, or I'm gonna flip tables.

That's because Emperor G is the upgrade to *Great*. Notice that Tetsuya was in the Cockpit. So you could consider Emperor G to be to Great what Kaiser is to Z. Hopefully that means Kaiser will show up as a secret or in the sequel.

This will be my first time experiencing might gaine so i'm excited for it
It'll be the first time for many an SRW fan- this is Might Gaine's big debut in any of Banpresto's works.
What does the kanji say about the first original unit? Which looks pretty cool and like a machina from Kurogane no Linebarrel.
I can't read the kanji, but the kata says it's the Vangley or however they intend to romanise it.
