You can ride the tram up and just ride it back down. I recommend doing this during times when it is not open to skiing so you don't wait in line as long.
I was the supervisor. This is not a Tram; It is a jig bag gondola. She has a pretty sweet design never really used. Had it down to a 3.5 min enter/exit time for regulars.. A bucket of noobs was like 5 min departure. I had hella fun watching the "Im a pro" guys cartwheel down 2 min later. Collin , It was not Doppelwanger alone. C-tech and 3 other companies built this. It is a proto. I ran the Grandola for a few seasons. Im reaching out to a few old school guys... you still alive?
I got as high as Powder Seeker when I went to Big Sky, but not at the very top. The steepest slope I have skied was at Park City off of 9990, and I didn’t really enjoy it.
Big Sky Lone Peak is FREAKING AH-MAHZING!!!! BEST runs EVER! And on a 🐦 day? It's a skier's PARADISE!
I've heard that the base of the tram has moved 8ft since it was first built.
Why?
@@deepsouthmtb2531 The frozen rock underneath acts like a glacier that is slowly moving. The engineers accounted for it in their design thankfully.
woah, thats cool lol
@@BradThiele_04 I think it's moved 8ft not 20ft lol
I skied there from the top...it was amazing!
I want to go to Big Sky next year but I'm a bit nervous to ride the tram because you are certainly committing to a long, hard way down to the bottom.

which lifts can you see from the tram riding up?

All triple blacks to get down? Must be awesome on powder days. Ice days not so much.
Great, but a higher capacity tram is needed!!
Did you actually ski off the top of lone peak collin?
Yes I did

Was that liftie really yelling at someone? What on earth for??
Will this lift be relocated or scrapped?
Probably just scrapped. It's not exactly something that can be relocated since it's so customized for this location.
Okay, that's a very dizzy view from the top.
how was the terrain up there?
Insane....
