If this man didn’t win world championship last year nobody would even comment on this video much less his time. So let’s all pretend he’s not a champion n just a regular runner who is trying to get better
That.was a very good run Antonio Watson
I think he was more consisten last year run more race better timecbut he has a great coach so let us see .
Here somes the Internet coaches that knows more than glen mills.......lol
One Mob!
Why have our primary 400m runner at a development meet while we were TOTALLY EMBARRASSEED at the World Relays???
Love the way he look looks more leaner
Running is not about looks an appearance
I will admit that things are not looking too good for Watson this season. At this point of the season, he should at least be running 45 but he's's still stuck at 46. I know people are gonna come and say it's early season and we should give him a break, but if you compare this season with last season, he had a more steady progression. He managed to run 45 in March last year while in may this year, the middle of the track and field season, he's still struggling to break 46, which is conserning. I will just wait for Racers grand pix in June to see how well he will perform.
The way things looking Quincy Wilson might win gold at Paris this year!
@@adinisrael3574 lol, I wouldn't put Wilson on that level yet 😆
@@adinisrael3574He has to make the US team first and that will takes a lot of pre'cociousness.Dont rush the brush and waste the paint.
@@TAM.w39 I was exaggerating in response to these slower times by the pros!
@adinisrael3574 nope that won't happen how many outstanding times have we seen in American high school an collegiate scene an most times they fail to even make the US team? There's a long list of such people
Watson looks great. His stride looks effortless and even if his time isnt as fast as people want it to be - he always steps on the gas when it matters. Really wish he had been sent to the World Relays meet to help Jamaica qualify the mens 4x400m team to Paris
Watson alone could not save that team
@@unconventionalcrosy52 I never said Watson alone would have saved the team but having him there in the 4x400m would have helped. I respect those who did run in the relay but pulling Roshawn and Zandrian to have them in the mixed relay left the mens 4x400m relay team weak. Not an expert either but I rather they have had the strong runners in the 4x400 mens relays so that 4 men could have the opportunity to be in Paris. Now they have to figure out how to qualify and have a strong relay time since there's 2 spots left. Sean Bailey, Roshawn Clark , Antonio Watson, Zandrian Barnes, Malik James would be a great team. Even some of the guys who were in Carfita (Jevaughn Pinnock, Nickecoy Bramwell) could be asked to help qualify.. Just my opinon
Demish Gaye gave the rest of the team too much work like he always do. McDonald ran ok, not good but ok given the position he got the baton in James-King tried his best but he had too much to do and the anchor leg runner looked like he gave up on that first day then they changed the order on the second day and it was a complete disaster.
That and get some races in.
@travelwithsere if is one thing I'm certain about is that the youngster from Calabar would have given a better performance than the marching on the spot man( Demish Gaye) and Rusheen McDonald.
He will be okay. He looks good, but the times not coming just yet. They will come though when its most important. We saw that last year
That's the difference between bolt and most athlete consistency
And shelly
U cannot compare a bolt with every other athlete. It just doesn't make sense. He was not an average athlete
Who know knows that glen mills nah let you go unless him ready fi you start fire whenever Watson drop load you’ll see the real him
He’s ready for Paris 🔥🔥🔥🔥✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 looks very comfortable at this early season
Love the way he looks relaxed
He has avery looong way to go,our World Champion should be in high 44.s or very low 45.s shape, the tall 'Bama boy' would jogged 46.7 with minimum effort, what has Antonio been doing post World championship if he ran 46.7 in the heats at the games he would be blown out.Straight up NO GOOD.
Michael Norman just opened up his season with 44.2
Be patient Rome was not built in a day
Where is the 100m coverage?
In a min
A badness! Lol
Antonio focus you dont any distractions nowyou have to leave Paris either way
What can I say he’s a world champion, and I believe in his team, but the big names expected to make the finals and are favorites to medal are all well below 45 seconds now, this was close to a 47 so I’m a bit concerned to be honest. Wonder if as the bredda seh him have a one b a drain out him back 👀
If a suh a caan one.... a mus quite a few....
Wait till June, that's next month. I agree, Antonio should be running easy 45's, at this phase. He looks overweight.
First thing I said.
Drop a picture of yourself self, want to see who is more overweight
@@marciaburtongordon5028 right... he actually looks LEANER than he did last year at Worlds. they need to check their eyes
Overweight? Seriously?
@@trackuniverse9121 i think their eyes need to be checked. He was looking a little muscular last year at worlds but he looks like he's leaned out .Definitely not overweight...
Not this year Antonio YOU GO GIVE YOUR FEMALE THE WHOLE OF YOUR STRENGTH... ...
funny...at this point, i am tempted to believe that might actually be the case.
Him soon free up man
@@JayDublowTo me, he’s still in loaded phase, but he’s strong and was swinging his arms well. Probably training to peak at trials.
@@BlackAfrikan looks primed to me. In 2 weeks time we should begin to see some real action from everyone, especially from the Racers group going into the Gran Prix
@@JayDublow Free up from what though? lol...we need him to help us meet to qualifying mark for 4x4. Honestly I dont feel comfortable with his times at this point, look a way...
Watson ran over (approx) .5sec slower than his season best. There is nothing to celebrate here. Something is wrong, and it's more than likely to be an injury that's slowed his performance. But he will have to run much faster in, say, 7 weeks' time..🤔
