Please let me know if this video speaks to some issues that are troubling you too! I only hope you might find some of these remedies helpful to you too. xx C
I had to replay when you said you were 65 thought I heard it wrong! You look so healthy and youthful and just fantastic. Thank you for all the helpful hints.
The Communication part really is special. Peter Drucker says “ The most important part of communication is to hear what is not being said.” Also - actively listen. Eye contact. Ask questions. Do not try to solve an issue- unless the person asks you to.
For sleep help, I listen to sleep podcasts “Get Sleepy” and “Nothing Much Happens”. I drift RIGHT to sleep and when I wake up in the middle of the night, instead of laying there for 20-60 minutes, I just put the podcast right back on and I go RIGHT back to sleep. It is such a gift.
This is superb. Routines sometimes assist in a rhythm of life. Sleep for me is assisted by a meditation that calms, relaxes and eases me to sleep. Works for me.
Dear Christie, I love that your videos are not only about fashion (ans consumption) but also about habits, attitudes and routines that can improve ones everyday life for free ;-)
You are so welcome! My Channel is very new so I am trying to respond to what you, my Subscribers, are interested in. My hope is together we will find a balance of life. We'll see where this journey takes us. Thank you for your kind support and for Subscribing! xx C
That mix sounds fabulous! Looking forward to your upcoming videos! Have you ever thought about talking how to “style” your wardrobe space in order to make getting dressed more easy and enjoyable? Also love the topics of wine and art! Many greetings! Katharina
Thank you for a great, uplifting video Christie. Especially the tips for sleeping better. I can relate.. I am also trying my best to sleep on my back but no, it's so hard😆 I will try the pillow idea. Wishing you sweet dreams and many bonnes nuits✨
Thank you - very interesting, especially on the communications skills. I will track down that book, because I do sometimes feel it is a struggle to engage with people I have just met. How I miss the confidence of youth where everyone you met was a potential new friend to be made :)
It hasn't been easy for me, I try to start in this position. My hope is, if I persevere I may be more successful in this effort. Thank you for watching and Subscribing! xx C
Sleep, health and all that. I loved the wine and chocolate just like you but I have given it up now. No more drugs like sugar and caffeine. It was hard especially the sugar and caffeine. It took me about 5 years. But today I have energy all through the day and sleep like a baby every night! I am 62 and feel like 40!
Hi Nina! Congrats to you for eliminating caffeine and alcohol. Its worth it to get a proper night's sleep. Thank you for taking the time to comment and for Subscribing! xx C
This was a very timely You tube today! Thank you. You look beautiful! I am over 65 and still work with my own business in Health care and would like to transition to The "R" word! (Retirement). It is scary and seems like doomsday. Anyone else going through this and how have you handled it? Have a great day everyone and look forward to hearing your comments along with Christie!!
Hi Franca! Welcome to "R"! It is a time of "just do it" for me. Do that volunteering you have dreamed about, do that travel on your wishlist, start that whimsical adventure you always wondered if you were capable of doing! Thank you for watching and for Subscribing! xx C
Hi Christie I want to just mention HRT as another modality to help with sleep. Hot flashes were keeping me up on and off all night long. The sleep deprivation was causing so many issues during the day that I really felt i couldn’t function properly. So HRT benefited me greatly
Hi Christie! This seems like a timely video for Easter/Spring! New beginnings and all. I don't have trouble falling asleep but staying asleep is another thing! I used to work in a dermatology clinic and one thing he recommended to allot of patients was to use a gentle cleanser with a buff puff morning and night. It exfoliates the skin and keeps you looking fresh. Also, to use a retin-a a few times a week which turns the skin over faster. Eventually you have a nice glowing complexion. You're so right about using sun screen daily and that's a good one that you mentioned. Happy Easter to you Christie!!
Christie, I enjoyed your video today. It was informative, inspiring and very professional. I've had much difficulty sleeping and what I do is listen to audiobooks on my iPhone. You can time how long you want to listen, and has this been helpful to me. My local library offers "Libby" and is free. I don't know if this is a global app but is it every efficient. I love your backdrop as well. I can't take my eyes off the two vases and the lovely chest of drawers. It's a clean and crisp backdrop, easy on the eyes. You look great...keep up your routines and thank you for reminding me I should take better care of myself. Lynne Winnipeg Manitoba Canada
Hi Lynne! I am delighted you found the video to be helpful to you. Your tip on using an audiobook as a sleep inducement is a good one. I will definitely keep this idea in mind for myself and for future sharing with friends/family. Thank you for taking the time to share your kind comments. Your support and Subscribing is very much appreciated. Hope to "see" you next Saturday. xx C
My Dr. recommended a combo of L-tryprophan ( the naturally occuring hormone in turkey that makes you sleepy) and magnolia bark instead of melatonin. L-trytophan helps you fall asleep. Magnolia Bark is an ancient Chinese herb that helps you stay asleep. Melatonin can be harsh with side effects. It's been working for me since I struggled with skeeping since menopause 10 years ago. Good luck😊
Hi Dianne! Thank you for reaching out. Yes, I will be doing a full video on getting our bodies ready for summer. One item I plan on discussing is how I like to prepare my skin for summer. Thank you for your kind support and for Subscribing! xx C
Hi Veronique! Thank you so much! I love Barre3 barre3.com/ which I do online 3-4 times a week and have done so for almost 10 years now. I always feel great afterwards, it never gets easy, but it never is overly hard either. I love the mix of emphasis on long, lean muscle, the focus on flexibility and on balance. I try to join my husband whenever I can for a vigorous walk to get some more cardio in as well. No secret, just consistency. Hope this helps xx C
Totally shocked that you’re 65, I thought you were a lot younger than me. I am 61. Lately I’ve discovered pink noise on TH-cam that I play over my Bose speakers, and sleep like a log. I do double cleaning, but my second one is cleansing oil.
For me it's the opposite, I need my bedroom to be warm or I won't fall asleep if I'm cold. My feet in particular tend to become very cold in the evenings for no reason and I need to warm them up on my electric mattress cover and the radiator on before I can finally fall asleep.
Excuse me???? You said you are 65.....NO WAY!!! WOW you are in fabulous shape and look 20 plus years younger. What is your beauty and exercise routine, my I ask, or do you have videos on those subjects as well?
Hi Tracey! Kind of you to say. To date, I have generated videos on fashion and lifestyle. If you and others think this would be of interest I would be happy to do so. Thank you so much for watching and for Subscribing! xx C

I have the same experience with red wine and only a small glass!!
Sorry to hear that! Ah well our main meal is now luncheon and we simply open the wine earlier in the day. xx C

Same problem here. I’m going to start lifting weights to see if that helps to build the muscles 😊
Weights are good. I find I don't even need to use weights to see an impact in the muscular definition in my arms. Just moving them! xx C
You look fabulous ❤❤❤
Kind of you to say. xx c
