- On this episode of The Fish North Georgia minicast we sit down with fisheries biologist Shan O'Gorman to discuss the life of crawfish and what causes them to be certain colors. This is great information to have trying to "Match the Hatch" with your jig colors. We discuss the many color options from jig manufacturer, Castleberry Performance Lure Company, and how they best mimic crawfish in different times of the year and in different lake conditions. If you are interested in Castleberry's products, you can check out their full line on our store at www.fishnorthgeorgia.com

Great video! Always like to see Shan because I know he is going to drop some great information. One question I have always had and there are a lot of mixed reviews on is how deep are crawfish found in the water column?
Christopher Gayton I’m not positive but I seem to remember something saying they don’t live deeper than 10 feet.
I caught crawfish 🦞 on a string with raw bacon for bait
What's a crayfish?
That's a crawdad in North Georgia 😁
