BBC stands for "British Broadcasting Corporation". It's a government owned corporation, so in theory its pockets are as deep as the British government's pockets. It shouldn't have any problem paying whatever compensation a court decides is suitable.

I've been aware of this issue since 2006, and the MSM have been crucial complices in these horrible crimes against the people of Palestine. Without the complicity of the media, they never could have pulled off such horrific crimes.
Also to be noted is that MSM is also complicit in many other crimes against humanity such as the pandemic.
Nuremberg proved that "i was just following orders" is no excuse for committing horrific crimes.
The New Yorker post Oct. 7: "We didn't corroborate these stories, not wanting to force the witnesses to undergo additional trauma..." I'd never read that before, ever.
One of the biggest problems with human rights problems is they are not directly connected with the lives of constituents around the world who clearly have parallel interests. Cultivating knowledge of those mutual interests is therefore at least as vital a goal as informing them of the problems.
Thank you Craig Mokhiber is a fountain of information and a beautiful soul. Here in the UK we are charged a license fee of £169 for watching BBC or livestreaming TV. All terrestrial channels and their news is delivered in a pacif voice at best and with deep bias and clear support or denial of a genocide taking place. I've cancelled my license as I will not fund a media which seems incapable of non biased truthful reporting. I suggest everyone in the UK boycott the BBC license fee.

I've heard reporters admit that they have to be careful to tow the line or they won't be allowed in the press conferences--if they step over the "line", so it's true that they are manipulated, although sometimes it's very subtle pressure. Journalists should try to work as a team to overwhelm these limitations.

It makes me think of Steven Donziger who won a multibillion dollar judgement in Ecuador against Chevron over massive contamination in the Lago Agrio region but was put on house arrest by a judge who had ties to Chevron. Absolutely in agreement. if even the Guardian newspaper has failed to report accurately on events, or even correct factual errors, or fail to update news as at is corrected, even by the Israeli press such as Haaretz, then there is so little hope and indeed they need to be taken to task. They claim to 'balance' the debate, but there are many arguments where you do not present the opposite side as 'balance'. I'll leave you to work it out as I don't want to be censored.

I think the human rights violation test lab of El Salvador is unfortunately left out of your presentation. These things you describe have been tried and gotten away with massively in places like Central American for decades, and El Salvador is arguably the worst. Furthermore, Israel is known to have supplied weapons and training to some of these monstrous governments in ways that are at least as reprehensible as the famous School of the Americas. Because this is closer to home, we need to not forget it. Many of us have done activist work in some of these countries to try to hold the tide back against it. Arguably dictators like Ortega would be much more compliant with free elections and such if the community fear of being taken over by a right wing funded Samoza like regime were not so clearly possible. If I may refer to the IWW slogan: an injury to one is an injury to all.
