Interesting how Lois at the start, remarks about how the people of Earth never really understood Superman, when the crux of this story is Lois not quite understanding him either. Its not about forcing the world to be better, at the root of things its simply about helping who he can. He's not there to force change he wants to inspire it.
She became a Nuclear Karen with superpowers. 😏
I mean, she was right.
Why does Clark not even expose the thousands of corrupt schemes etc that Lois easily identified?
I get wanting to be a beacon of hope and stopping bank robbers and petty crime.
But the crimes that do the most damage to the most people this story indicates he knows basically everything top to bottom, and he does basically nothing about them.
Superman really is a bad hero if this comic is to be believed.
Lois isn't doing the right thing, but if Superman actually wanted people to have hope he'd try to actually stop all the things he apparently knows about.
@meateaw If Superman tried to stop every bad thing happening in the world he'd literally have no time for anything else. There's been stories covering this topic. He can't save everybody and he isn't capable. He'd drive himself crazy.

It's equally horrifying, seeing one of the most feared and infamous villains in the world terrified and running for their life, only to be cornered in an alley and helplessly executed. He really is an awful person, but seeing someone as infamous as the Joker so absolutely helpless just, hits different

The Dark Multiverse is a place where fears and nightmares are made manifest. I do firmly believe this to be a fear or nightmare of Superman’s. He is that selfless. What fear/nightmare would that be? That those he loves would be consumed by grief after his death, most of all Lois, the love of his life he let into his world. In the slowly growing anger within, Lois will see the bad in everything and not only be fueled by grief’s second stage as she scorns all, but fail to realize that all those screams she hears in the world are screams of terror… over her, as she is blinded to so much in her dark path to eventually becoming the angel of vengeance called the Eradicator, and perhaps rightfully dubbed as such.
Eradicator Lois+Injustice Superman+Superboy Prime=Dark Super family
Neither Superboy prime or Injustice Superman would join her
@@ContagiousSponge It depends, if it was before Prime's redemption arc they absolutely would. Injustice Superman because he became a tyrant and Superboy Prime because he had gone full psycho mode. After, Superboy Prime had fought and died against Bathattan who laughs {Whom he called "The Batman who Farts"} before waking up in his own world and somehow retaining his former powers. Implying that he was going to become the Superman of that world.

Dude the thing if heroes were to start killing then they are no longer heroes; they are just becoming killers and murderers. That’s why it is a problem and her logic is flawed too because she is becoming the thing Superman had always fought against and thereby becoming the opposite of everything Superman stands for dude

The OG Eradicator had the coolest Superman drip.
You have to understand where Lois is coming from ,this is the Justice league that failed superman ,a group of 100+ super heroes hal Jordan with his lantern corps ,the flash who can run though time , wonder woman and Shazam Dr fate black Canary the teen Titans ,the metal men . Hawk girl and hawk man. Thousands of heros who were too late to save the one guy who risked his life to save an entire planet. Now pushing that aside doomsday has got to be the most broken character in DC , anything you kill him with he literally comes back from death immune to it. The writers honestly could have not made him because at this moment in the comics he's in hell trying to break free. They killed doomsday back in the mid 2000s and I'm still wondering what bright boy said let's bring back doomsday.

The technique with doomsday is, you don't need to kill him, just leave him floating in the emptiness of space where nothing can reach him or have him fight a blob monster or something, something that cannot be destroyed by physical means, like fighting a gello or something. That will keep him occupied for eternity.
I am surprised we didn’t see eradicator Lois lane fight against are Superman and his family in death metal because that would’ve been really awesome.

One of my favorite Dark Multiverse stories, but the part when Supes came back like before just to get killed made me wince, kinda like when Batman lost to Azrael in the what if take on Knightfall.
So, Lois becomes Injustice Superwoman. She and Injustice Supes should hook up lmao

Why do I only have an interest in DC and Marvel when goodie heroes become anti heroes or villian-ish and to the actual thing we questioned with heroes. Joker and Zsasz should be on the top of the list that need to be killed and not put in Evil Daycare.

I'm honestly disappointed that no one - not Batman, not the Justice League, not any other members of Superman's supporting cast - bothered to talk to Lois and say to her "Do you think this is what Clark would've wanted?" When we die, our legacy is shaped by the people we leave behind; how they remember us and what they do with us in mind is a reflection of who we were when we were alive. I guarantee you Superman knew that, and I similarly guarantee that if Lois lost her way like this and had it reminded to her by another person he was close to, she'd listen.
Being so reasonable makes for poor stories i'm afraid

If I remember the " Death of Super Man " correctly ( it's been a loooooong time ) weren't the rest of the Justice League in the hospital after trying to stop Doomsday and getting their capes kicked ?
I kind of remember Green Lantern , Booster Gold , Blue Beetle and several others get almost beaten to death.
Yeah, Doomsday fucked them up HARD on his way to Superman. Which made it worse because he just kept adapting. I've got a framed drawing from that run that I love because Doomsday is a fucking rad counter.

This a Story we should ALL learn form..when losing someone is HARD..and we Wish to be like them with powers to saves but also take lives of even..we become the thing the Innocent civilians fear sure bad guys will fear us for it too,but also we lose the trust of those we care for...we need to hold on to the light..even in dark times..not just for ourselves..but for our loved ones and fallen friends,Family and companions...Cause we don't...we become the very same thing anakin becomes.
Lois Lane isn’t entirely wrong she’s right to a degree. I just don’t like the plot convenience of how they so easily kill Superman. Twice.

I would much rather that they would finally go proper Count of Monte Cristo with a story like this. Get revenge, pull back before it's too late, ride off into the sunset. Eradicator Lois and Reborn Superman would be a great power couple whom I could enjoy watching the adventures.

Lois Lane was always a villain. All she ever did was hold Superman back and make him weak, while at the same time, if Superman had ever lost his powers for good she would have left him.

Instead of Plot Armor Comics they should call themselves Plot Hole Comics. First we are told Superman was the last Kryptonian. Then we learn Supergirl is still alive. I guess he didn't get the memo that she is Kryptonian too.
This version of Lois should have been met with the regular version of Flash. Flash methodology actually WORKED. He turned criminals around and saved his city multiple times. Many of his past villains helped him along the way.
Tbf most Flash villains aren’t as rotten as those in Gotham or Metropolis
It’s true that the way superheroes do things is useless/doesn’t work. But her way is worse. It’s weird how no superhero has ever figured it out (appart from Invincible after he became emperor).

I really like her costume design although I'm not a fan of this version of Lois. It is hard to believe she would blame the other heroes for Clark's death.

@@if7723 It’s been 20 years since I read the original story. If the other heroes were originally all hospitalized (which I don’t recall) then that’s a reasonable explanation for her different response in this alternate version.
@paule4566 Oh no, Doomsday went through them in waves until he hit Clark. Backup was in the ground. (At least as much as it can be, when you have this many heros it's stupid).

That is like blaming the sun for forest fires, foolish and illogical. Putting the blame on something that has no hand in such tragedy. It is also the overstep of an up and coming dictator. Are we going to arrest someone for jay walking next? How about littering? Smoking? For not recycling? Once you cross that line excuses will be made over and over again in order to justify taking away civil libraries. How far is to far?
This is so out of character for Lois. The evil versions of Batman made sense for instance the Batman who laughs became evil because he was infected with the joker laughing gas, the devastation Batman unintentionally turned humans on earth into doomsdays because he was radiating the doomsday virus etc.
Lois couldn't handle the kind of power Clark had because she wasn't born with it it slowly began to drive her over the edge it's like on Xena Warrior Princess when Xena who was in Calisto's body at the time had to help Aries get his godhood back when his sword was stolen from him by a mortal who made a deal with Hades. The deal was if he could get the most ruthless killers to kill each other Calisto included he would become the new God of War but Aries said since he was born a god only he could handle the power. And mere mortal who takes his place as the new God of War couldn't handle being a god accept for perhaps Xena. Aries even told Xena if he dies she must claim his sword & become the new God of War but Xena said "I don't want to be goddess" she prefers to live her life as a mortal just thought I share that bit of info. Lois was being corrupted by her new powers as well as her own ideals of how to deal with the evil & corrupt Clark being raised by humans chose to handle things in a more humane way.
