This is another of your brilliant detailed video's dear Lexi, and how happy you look in that camera talking about Addiction Tokyo, loved to see that!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩Great that the brand is in the USA!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Hope they come to Europe too!!!😍What do i have from them, not much yet, some eyeshadow and a cushion foundation which is very good and fragrance free in a summer and a winter shade!!!! 1 shade i gave away, was to light, it looked terrible on me, same experience as the Suqqu colour 210 on me 😂when going lighter than actual complexion it really makes you look ill. The opposite not, i love to use, well, only one shade deeper sometimes to fake some tan. But this brand is wonderful!!! Would love to try more!!! I only tried the cushion, they go to light quickly but that is i think something to keep in mind with buying Japanese complexion products. I can take another look this week into these foundations if you want, with the shades and which one is really to light for me, i bought 3 of these cushions, the quality is really nice and SPF50 if i remember correctly but sitting downstairs now, beachhouse small, don't want to wake up anyone, but can look tomorrow in these shades and chat them to you no problem! This is the first Hermes packaging I do not love. I tried Addiction from Japan earlier this year too. Great to hear they are in US now. Now we need Excel, Kate, Lunasol and Suqqu.
Love BOTH of these Hermes colors so much. I got those two colors too. So pretty and comfortable. I got one of the Chanel 31 lipsticks (#3 - a mauve) for science. I don’t like it at all. It’s so creamy, it makes a huge mess and I’m not cray about the packaging either. It looks and feels like plastic. NOT worth $195.
I'm so sorry to hear about the Chanel! I was very curious about the formula but it sounds like it was not worth it. At least you only bought one and not the set! Perhaps you can trade out the lipstick and refill it with another that you prefer.

You are definitely going to want Prunoir! There is no shimmer but it is the shiny formula so there is a lot of light reflection. You will love Addiction! I hope things are going well!

So I think it will suit me too. I checked out your link to Addiction and I am quite intrigued by the brand. I look forward to the brand replenishing its website inventory. I love the blush and eye looks you created (that lavender holographic blush is quite special - and of course perfect for you!). Thank you for all the shade comparison swatches for both Hermès lipsticks and as well for the swatches of the Addiction eyeshadows and blushes you were able to order. I especially like the LE eye palette as well as the lavender eyeshadow single. Question unrelated to makeup but I am simply curious: do you also prefer the look and fragrances of flowers like lavender, lilac, purple orchid, etc.?
Thank you Jocelyne! I adore the scent of fresh lilacs and it might be my favorite! But in general, I think lavender is okay (I think I smelled it too often growing up as it was always in those potpourri baskets). I don't think I have smelled purple orchids fresh before but I love the fragrances. I love the scent of fresh flowers like hyacinths and orienpet lilies which is one reason my allergies are always so bad in the spring - I can't resist sitting outside to smell them, lol.
I ordered some more Addiction earlier this morning! I hv a blush for a few years and a couple eyeshadows and they are lovely. I ordered the magnetics so I can make my own little palettes. I noticed they don't hv everything up like you mentioned the foundation and they hv eye quads. Rouge Abysse from Hermes ended up being my favorite. Thank you for all your information and swatches!

I’m so happy that Addiction is in the U.S. I bought some through Stylevana and it held up my order over a month, but it was worth the wait. The shadows are really mature friendly. I thought I was buying cream formulas, but I didn’t end up with any so I’m looking forward to trying cream! I knew I had to track them down when Hung Vanngo used them in a tutorial. The Hermes Lippies are beautiful! It’s so nice to see cool fall releases in berries and plums.

You tend to show the swatches at a much quicker pace, too :D Prunoir is exactly the shade and finish I have been looking for ever since I started wearing makeup. I refused to buy anything remotely similar as I had this colour on my mind so vividly. But 66 british sterling pounds for it now just feels too much for a single lipstick. If it was a base product or an eyeshadow palette, yes, but at the end it is just a lipstick. So any dupes under 40? Asked the kind viewer on a luxury channel XD ... I love Japanese beauty products. Their choice of colours tend to be much more sophisticated and subdued.
Is it better for swatches to be faster or slower? I'm just asking so I can make it as useful as possible. I noticed that I had to repeat things a few times because I kept talking so quickly (too excited) that my words became garbled. Lol. I think the ESUM palette (over 40 but so many shades) and the Rose Vieux are good options. They Byredo shade is $50 full price but you can find it on sale. They have 15% off $150 at Bloomingdale's right now and $44 at Selfridges. If you wait for a 20% off saks code, then you would be right at $40. Login to your saks account and add a bunch of expensive items to your cart and wait for them to email you a code. If it's 15% off they send you, keep waiting. Those are my best suggestions.

@@LexiJong I went and tried Byredo, on me it looked MUCH warmer than your arm or lip swatches! I concluded that the formula might actually be a bit ph sensitive? The difference was shocking.

Definitely Flashback for the eyesahdows! There isn't a purple in the permanent line that I love but the new limited edition Aurora Dawn looks like a good one and Hour of Magic is limited edition that they just restocked. I just got the new collection so will swatch them as soon as I can. I would also recommend their blushes such as sky flower and rose wish. Their lip tints are incredible and their liquid eyeshadows are awesome. I would also check out their powders if you are in the market for one. And then also check out their mascaras. I have the shade pine tree in the waterproof formula and it's a favorite.
Omg! Finally! Addiction and Surratt in the same sentence 😭😭 I’ve tried to buy surratt multiple times but somehow always failed to get them where I live and I’ve been so curious all these years how these 2 brands compare! Especially the eyeshadows. Just a small note about Addiction, for some reason the limited collection Pre-Fall palette has quite similar texture to those single shadows. It is however not the case for the 11 permanent palettes they have, those permanent palettes have quite a different formulas than their single shadows. A little less pigmented, and more “natural” sheerer (sorry for my lack of vocab) than the singles. Just hope this information is helpful for everyone out there shopping for Addiction! The only downside of Addiction is that their regular custom palette (the black ones) don’t look very nice… feels extremely cheap (😭), the Surratt custom palettes look so much more well made (at least from all the youtube videos and images I’ve seen online), I wonder if these single Addiction shadows fit into the Surratt palette? Happy Addiction US launch to all makeup lovers! 🎉
That is so good to know about Addiction! Thank you! I ordered more items to try. I agree about the empty palettes. The limited edition prism ones are so much prettier. I'm glad I ordered a few of them. The Surratt palettes are nicely made but I hate having to use a sticker to put the shadows in so I don't use the palettes often. The Surratt palettes don't have a way to click the shadows in unfortunately. I just checked the sizing and unfortunately they do not fit. The addiction pans are slightly larger than the surratt.

The blushes look beautiful, I’ll definitely be checking the one out. I also bought 2 of the Hermes, that’s odd the red didn’t come here. I don’t think I’ve ever spent so much on 2 lipsticks, but I’m excited to see the quality and packaging are good!
I think the red will be coming at some point as it is mentioned in the description of the other two shades on the Hermes US site but at least it is now at selfridges.
I love that lipstick. Does it feather? I have issues with that. Prunoir is right up my street. Does the color fade? Great review of Addiction! I have seen this brand on Japanese videos (Serina has subtitles) and figured we'd never get it. But I love that pearl finish. Maybe we'll get their palettes later on. Thanks for the video. Also, will you be doing this year's Hourglass? Everyone else has been too deep skinned for me to get a good look at Jellyfish. I want to customize the palette, but want to know if it's wearable for we fair/Light ladies. 💚
It doesn't feather on me but if you layer it on too thickly, I can definitely see that being an issue. It's a sheer lipstick so there will be some fading over time but considering the type of formula, it holds up very well. I ordered the lightest and deepest hourglass palettes so I hope that will help!
@@LexiJong Thanks for the lipstick info. I'm Light in foundation, so I think the lightest palette would be best. But with all of the bright blushes this year, I'm concerned about even the lightest new palette. Maybe the reviewers I've seen just trowelled it on. Please do a more natural look with Jellyfish. Then you can pile it on after for those who seem to need that. Why they do, simply mystifies me though. If I get it, I'm leaning toward the Light (#1) palette in either the Owl or Leopard case. Custom, so no returns. That's why your review is so important to me.
Hi Lexi all these colors, i know thats your world😜 it looks gorgeous on you. I dont know how those blushes would look on my more warmer skin🤪🤔 but i do love last year pre holiday the cooler collection blush. It works for winter. But right now i am so into late makeup😂 i did with surratt eye smokey baton, the one that looked more bronze, but its kind of cool tone, so i added some Chanel tweed cuivre. It looks great on blue eyes, but Chanel has some sparkle, and i want more satin shimmer, so i finally purchased some surratt eyeshadows, and blushes 🤪 i think mixing with orange Dior from Eden rock , will be better. And i did purchased LE new eyeliners in gold , and umber. Question are you going recreate your version of late makeup, please maybe using Surratt makeup 😇 You know its such a viral trend. I dont follow all, but the ones i really like, i adapt 😜 Have a blessed day🙏❤️

I only tried the cushion, they go to light quickly but that is i think something to keep in mind with buying Japanese complexion products. I can take another look this week into these foundations if you want, with the shades and which one is really to light for me, i bought 3 of these cushions, the quality is really nice and SPF50 if i remember correctly but sitting downstairs now, beachhouse small, don't want to wake up anyone, but can look tomorrow in these shades and chat them to you no problem! This is the first Hermes packaging I do not love. I tried Addiction from Japan earlier this year too. Great to hear they are in US now. Now we need Excel, Kate, Lunasol and Suqqu.

Love BOTH of these Hermes colors so much. I got those two colors too. So pretty and comfortable. I got one of the Chanel 31 lipsticks (#3 - a mauve) for science. I don’t like it at all. It’s so creamy, it makes a huge mess and I’m not cray about the packaging either. It looks and feels like plastic. NOT worth $195.
I'm so sorry to hear about the Chanel! I was very curious about the formula but it sounds like it was not worth it. At least you only bought one and not the set! Perhaps you can trade out the lipstick and refill it with another that you prefer.

You are definitely going to want Prunoir! There is no shimmer but it is the shiny formula so there is a lot of light reflection. You will love Addiction! I hope things are going well!

So I think it will suit me too. I checked out your link to Addiction and I am quite intrigued by the brand. I look forward to the brand replenishing its website inventory. I love the blush and eye looks you created (that lavender holographic blush is quite special - and of course perfect for you!). Thank you for all the shade comparison swatches for both Hermès lipsticks and as well for the swatches of the Addiction eyeshadows and blushes you were able to order. I especially like the LE eye palette as well as the lavender eyeshadow single. Question unrelated to makeup but I am simply curious: do you also prefer the look and fragrances of flowers like lavender, lilac, purple orchid, etc.?
Thank you Jocelyne! I adore the scent of fresh lilacs and it might be my favorite! But in general, I think lavender is okay (I think I smelled it too often growing up as it was always in those potpourri baskets). I don't think I have smelled purple orchids fresh before but I love the fragrances. I love the scent of fresh flowers like hyacinths and orienpet lilies which is one reason my allergies are always so bad in the spring - I can't resist sitting outside to smell them, lol.
The blush is pretty and sold out, as are a couple of the eyeshadows I’m interested in & cases. Looking forward to trying the brand. Thanks Lexi!

I ordered some more Addiction earlier this morning! I hv a blush for a few years and a couple eyeshadows and they are lovely. I ordered the magnetics so I can make my own little palettes. I noticed they don't hv everything up like you mentioned the foundation and they hv eye quads. Rouge Abysse from Hermes ended up being my favorite. Thank you for all your information and swatches!

I’m so happy that Addiction is in the U.S. I bought some through Stylevana and it held up my order over a month, but it was worth the wait. The shadows are really mature friendly. I thought I was buying cream formulas, but I didn’t end up with any so I’m looking forward to trying cream! I knew I had to track them down when Hung Vanngo used them in a tutorial. The Hermes Lippies are beautiful! It’s so nice to see cool fall releases in berries and plums.

Prunoir is exactly the shade and finish I have been looking for ever since I started wearing makeup. I refused to buy anything remotely similar as I had this colour on my mind so vividly. But 66 british sterling pounds for it now just feels too much for a single lipstick. If it was a base product or an eyeshadow palette, yes, but at the end it is just a lipstick. So any dupes under 40? Asked the kind viewer on a luxury channel XD ...
I love Japanese beauty products. Their choice of colours tend to be much more sophisticated and subdued.
Is it better for swatches to be faster or slower? I'm just asking so I can make it as useful as possible. I noticed that I had to repeat things a few times because I kept talking so quickly (too excited) that my words became garbled. Lol. I think the ESUM palette (over 40 but so many shades) and the Rose Vieux are good options. They Byredo shade is $50 full price but you can find it on sale. They have 15% off $150 at Bloomingdale's right now and $44 at Selfridges. If you wait for a 20% off saks code, then you would be right at $40. Login to your saks account and add a bunch of expensive items to your cart and wait for them to email you a code. If it's 15% off they send you, keep waiting. Those are my best suggestions.

Hi Lexi ... thinking of ordering the new Tokyo Addiction blush in the nail polish bottle. What products are your favorites from the brand? I love purples and sparkly taupe eye colors.
Definitely Flashback for the eyesahdows! There isn't a purple in the permanent line that I love but the new limited edition Aurora Dawn looks like a good one and Hour of Magic is limited edition that they just restocked. I just got the new collection so will swatch them as soon as I can. I would also recommend their blushes such as sky flower and rose wish. Their lip tints are incredible and their liquid eyeshadows are awesome. I would also check out their powders if you are in the market for one. And then also check out their mascaras. I have the shade pine tree in the waterproof formula and it's a favorite.

I’ve tried to buy surratt multiple times but somehow always failed to get them where I live and I’ve been so curious all these years how these 2 brands compare! Especially the eyeshadows.
Just a small note about Addiction, for some reason the limited collection Pre-Fall palette has quite similar texture to those single shadows. It is however not the case for the 11 permanent palettes they have, those permanent palettes have quite a different formulas than their single shadows. A little less pigmented, and more “natural” sheerer (sorry for my lack of vocab) than the singles. Just hope this information is helpful for everyone out there shopping for Addiction!
The only downside of Addiction is that their regular custom palette (the black ones) don’t look very nice… feels extremely cheap (😭), the Surratt custom palettes look so much more well made (at least from all the youtube videos and images I’ve seen online), I wonder if these single Addiction shadows fit into the Surratt palette?

That is so good to know about Addiction! Thank you! I ordered more items to try. I agree about the empty palettes. The limited edition prism ones are so much prettier. I'm glad I ordered a few of them. The Surratt palettes are nicely made but I hate having to use a sticker to put the shadows in so I don't use the palettes often. The Surratt palettes don't have a way to click the shadows in unfortunately. I just checked the sizing and unfortunately they do not fit. The addiction pans are slightly larger than the surratt.

I think the red will be coming at some point as it is mentioned in the description of the other two shades on the Hermes US site but at least it is now at selfridges.
I love that lipstick. Does it feather? I have issues with that. Prunoir is right up my street. Does the color fade? Great review of Addiction! I have seen this brand on Japanese videos (Serina has subtitles) and figured we'd never get it. But I love that pearl finish. Maybe we'll get their palettes later on. Thanks for the video. Also, will you be doing this year's Hourglass? Everyone else has been too deep skinned for me to get a good look at Jellyfish. I want to customize the palette, but want to know if it's wearable for we fair/Light ladies. 💚
It doesn't feather on me but if you layer it on too thickly, I can definitely see that being an issue. It's a sheer lipstick so there will be some fading over time but considering the type of formula, it holds up very well. I ordered the lightest and deepest hourglass palettes so I hope that will help!
@@LexiJong Thanks for the lipstick info. I'm Light in foundation, so I think the lightest palette would be best. But with all of the bright blushes this year, I'm concerned about even the lightest new palette.
Maybe the reviewers I've seen just trowelled it on. Please do a more natural look with Jellyfish. Then you can pile it on after for those who seem to need that. Why they do, simply mystifies me though.
If I get it, I'm leaning toward the Light (#1) palette in either the Owl or Leopard case. Custom, so no returns. That's why your review is so important to me.

Hi Lexi all these colors, i know thats your world😜 it looks gorgeous on you. I dont know how those blushes would look on my more warmer skin🤪🤔 but i do love last year pre holiday the cooler collection blush. It works for winter. But right now i am so into late makeup😂 i did with surratt eye smokey baton, the one that looked more bronze, but its kind of cool tone, so i added some Chanel tweed cuivre. It looks great on blue eyes, but Chanel has some sparkle, and i want more satin shimmer, so i finally purchased some surratt eyeshadows, and blushes 🤪 i think mixing with orange Dior from Eden rock , will be better. And i did purchased LE new eyeliners in gold , and umber. Question are you going recreate your version of late makeup, please maybe using Surratt makeup 😇 You know its such a viral trend. I dont follow all, but the ones i really like, i adapt 😜 Have a blessed day🙏❤️

I think they are a bit glossier and more moisturizing on the lips. The VB are a bit drier in texture.
IMO you suit Prunoir, #90, and you could wear that one when you're out and about in your daily life.
