We’re excited to share this behind the scenes film from our recent trip to Bhutan. In March, we travelled to this extraordinary country alongside Matthew Firpo, Jeremy Snell and Gary Bardizbanian to create a short film for the World Wildlife Fund and a photo series for Suitcase Magazine.
The Kingdom tells the story of Sonam Phuntsho, a Bhutanese forest caretaker who has planted more than 100,000 trees by hand. It’s a positive environmental story that explores how one person can make a difference in a great big world.
A huge thanks to WWF, Suitcase Magazine and The Tourism Council of Bhutan for making this project possible.

This is the content I love to see. Sure, 5 years ago I would have been overjoyed to see a new PO Box video, but to have watched you guys grow into such amazing filmmakers dedicated to making and helping change is the best progression I could ask for.

My parents neighbors are refugees from Bhutan. They have turned their backyard into a network of branches and tree limbs to catch their own water and dry their clothes, amongst other things. Those prayer flags line the fence and house. At first I simply saw it as a unique way to use the space, but now I see - it’s just what they know, and it’s the incredible way they’ve always lived. We’ve all got something to learn from our neighbor.

What a beautiful country with such great values! I think we would all benefit by going back to basics by just socialising with each other and placing more value on being a community and working together to respect and utilise the land we are blessed with. There’s a lot to learn from countries and cultures like this!

My friends always told me to share my adventures with the world, it's channels like your who inspired me to finally take that step and finally take my Blogging experiences seriously and start showing the world that most of the places that we all talk about need to be shown to everyone and show them that what they think of these places are actually incorrect. I remember watching JacksGap when I was 12 or so, and thinking the both of you were just a goofy pair of twins that I could rely on to cheer me up on a bad day, but seeing how you've used your influence, experiences and skill to create content that is truly captivating and meaningful makes me want to do the same. I'm lost for words... This is one of the most inspiring and touching films I have seen in a long while. It is of such high calibre and really brings together how interconnected and reliant humans are with nature - something that is easily forgotten (especially in large city living in western societies).
