Also whenever the mother needs to vent she goes to the little kid( which is a lot more pressure then she thinks) then whenever the kid (older) tries to talk to her the mother doesn’t want to listen/pay attention.
to give proper context (and to avoid any incorrect judgement towards my mother,) my mother hasn’t, and doesn’t, physically abuse me. My mother has always been on and off. She’s gone from being all happy and giddy with me, to blankly ignoring me and not caring what i have to say. She responds most commonly in a very dismissive manner (short “mhm’s.”) When i was younger, she used to be a tad nicer, but once i began to reach teen years she started becoming almost more sour and less tolerable of my presence. My mother has vented to me in graphic ways when i was 10 - 12, seemingly having no concern for what i, a small child at the time, could feel. I love my mother, but her past and current actions make me sick.
