As a 40ish year old man I can say this is a continuance. This is a mix between Bleach and In Utero. What they do next is going to be pretty interesting.
Disturbingly so. It feels too contrived for me to be a real fan, but I do think it sounds good so I’m conflicted. If the video didn’t feature as many of Kurt’s gestures and affectations (eg hair, general moves, guitars, otherwise general aesthetic) it would have been better. I get that that’s the look and goal but Kurt would laugh at someone copying him so directly, although likely being appreciative of the gesture
@@TurnerRecordsTRS I agree. This should piss me off, but at the same time it's so well done that they get a pass and I'll just enjoy the music for now. I'm sure in a few year's time they'll find their own identity and sound a bit more like their own thing (while hopefully keeping their influences, nothing wrong with that).
@@fredd3233 that song is an ear worm and I was trying to figure out which Nirvana song it sounds most like and I listened to “I Hate Myself And Want To Die” and the downward chord cadence matches that. Hopefully these guys keep it up and find their own space
I love this whole grunge revival thing. It's just great. Keep writing and recording and playing shows. I'm looking forward to hearing what all these bands do in the future. Keep developing and branching out. Don't worry about people saying it's too much like Nirvana. Most great bands started out sounding a bit like their influences. That's normal. You got the sound and the energy. Vocals sound good, all the instruments are being played well. You guys are well on the way. I'm going to look for tour dates for the GrungePop label stuff. I hope some of these bands come to Chicago soon so I can see them live.
So close to Nirvana that my paranoia is trying to convince me that this is AI. BUT, the better part of me is pumped because this is the closest to getting new Nirvana songs that I’ll ever get. I’m here for it.

Yes I hear it. At about 1:40 to 2:00 I got chills because I thought I was watching a ghost. He looks like Kurt, he sounds like Kurt and he has the same mannerisms as Kurt. At first it bothered me. Then I thought, music has sucked for so long if you want to sound like an iconic band that we all loved then fuck it BECAUSE they do sound good. Very good.
In bed with covid and high fever. Just heard it and stood up headbanging and already feeling better. Yes, it's heavy influenced from Nirvana and Kurt, almost copied them. So what? Just enjoy good music!
Video's pretty good. We all have our influences, and Nirvana is a great influence to have in my book. At the moment though, it sounds like an impression, but good work, keep at it and I'm sure you'll find your own voice.
Yes it's a carbon copy of that other band we all know. Yes the singer rips off the cadence, look, even his mannerisms. But it's actually a good copy. And honestly I expect them to grow into their own identity gradually. Can't deny it's well done. The band can play the same, the singer just needs to personalize his aesthetic and sound a little less cover bandish and more him. Song is fire, it's like having unreleased bleach, litty
At least its not buzz kill or whatever that copy band is of nirvana, but this! This is not nirvana sure sun puddle got inspired by them but this is just great
Come As You Are: Killing Joke - Eighties... for all those concerned that they are just trying to sound like Nirvana.. Kurt is kinda known for doing a similar thing. So long live that good sound! whoever is playing it!
Yeah this is pure grunge and brings nostalgia. Keep that attitude guys, keep the sound if you like it, but keep away from those habits that killed grunge the first time.
Verse guitars: Gallons of Rubbing Alcohol Verse vocal: I Hate Myself and I Want To Die Chorus vocal and lyric: Breed That said, I don't hate it. It takes a lot of skill to sound this much like such an all-time great band, particularly in the vocal performance and drums. My first instinct is to dismissive it as derivative, but perhaps music's simply heading in a different direction where recontextualising influences is a more important part of songwriting than traditional concepts like melody crafting, hooks etc.
Wait is this a nirvana cover band? Come on, how is rock gonna be back on top with "wanna be" doing a carbon copy of the top number 1 been of the 90s? I mean you can have influence but this is closer to a cover band. Sorry guys, i would say, find your own sound.
This song honestly sounds like a modern Nirvana song. I got goosebumps.

Let me know what band hasn’t had influence from another, even Nirvana got caught taking some good Riffs.

impossible. PoM took their whole act from nirvana so you hear nirvana...and the melvins
Great sound. Lovely heavy riffs. Like the Greta Van Fleet of the Nirvana universe. Obviously emulating another but still so good in their own right.
