More than 2,000 Thais in an online group have expressed interest in volunteering to fight for Ukraine. Among them are former conscripts and democracy activists who hope to use their military training and experience resisting riot police.

WOW, Myanmar which is literally right next door and a fellow Asean is all peaceful all this time.
Myanmar is not an invasion but an internal conflict, when you foreigners crossed other country territory with their permission = that called an invasion.

I'm Asian American and have colleagues in the Ukraine (software engineers) that I used to visit every year. Never experienced any form of racism at all and I used to go there 3 months out of the year, every year. In fact the total opposite, everyone is super friendly and nice.
I understand and respect the guy's intentions, but fighting a war in a country whose language you don't speak & understand. You are binded by your team who can help you to understand and the moment you get separated from them, you become a liability.
That's because they're less educated and always drived by their emotions....but they never think deeply why is this war happened to begin with....why is today's tragedy happened .... it's not because of recent issues but a long dragged issues that first caused by some party

It's a conflict within the country. Sure we all want to help but how? By doing so, we're dragging the whole country (both who want and do not want to fight) into conflict with Myanmar. As for Ukraine, it's the government that asked for volunteers outside of his country, unlike Myanmar in which only the citizens asked. That makes it easier for ppl outside the country who really wants to volunteer to help.
Thai government should let them go. But don't let them come back because they will be radicalized.
