Thank you. This was very helpful to me, and I appreciate that you made and shared this video. It offers a lot of advice that the manual does not cover, and it really helped me to understand my new pool pump. 😎
My Pump is about a year newer but this video helped me quite a bit in comparison to other videos past and present. I now set programs 1-4 as egg-timers which I never knew before to do. With Program 5-6, I set up for Summer time. Program 7-8, I set up for Winter time. Currently I disabled winter programs 7-8 while I'm in summer mode. When winter comes, I will disable summer mode programs 5-6 and access "schedule" programs 7-8. I hope this makes sense to readers. It would be nice if it had Enable/disable. But in this case Schedule is the Enable mode.
It makes sense... but tell me: what are the RPM's and Time that you set up for 5/6 and 7/8. Because right now you say you have a great idea... but then you do not share teh details to program it in. Thanks!
That was great….. nice walk through covered everything I had questions about. now I actually know how to set everything, I’m new to this & you were very helpful 👍🏽 Now I’m getting rid of the pool guy🤣. Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So I am trying to set mine to turn on high speed a couple hours and then step down once or twicet hruoughtout the day and finish at like 1100 rpm until shut off time. Is there a way to do that?
I was programming my schedules and every time I programmed number one to a schedule, when I hit start stop and number 1 it would show manual in the upper left. any idea why? shouldn't it say schedule?
I had our menu set to Program 1 in Schedule mode but had to add stabilizer, which called for the pool to run 24 hours, so I set program 2 to run in Manual until I shut it down. But, in the morning, it somehow changed the Program 1 from Schedule to Manual. I can't get Program 1 back into Schedule mode. Please advise on how to get it back to Schedule. THANK YOU.
My pump isn't following the program. I don't know why. I did Speed 5, schedule, 9:00 am on, 2:30 pm off. And by 4:00 pm it's still running. I have gone over and over. The time and date are correct. But it wants to shut off at 4. And I saw it running at 7 am this morning also. Then it shut off, and started at 9. I can't get anyone out here to help me, I'm in a rural area.
Time out is a 3 hour on/off function. It’s ideal for circulating chems after hours, or if you’re getting in the spa you know the system will only run for a max of 3 hours. It should automatically switch it auto mode at that point.
Set schedule one to run 24 hours and set the other speeds to manual. Then just after 2 days reprogram the pump and you'll be good to go. So sorry this took so long to answer... I must have missed it.
Jayme, is the pump hooked up to automation or salt system via comm wire? Usually, that happens when it's communicating with one or the other. If it doesn't shut off at 5, then somewhere, there's another schedule going that is keeping it on.
Chlorine King Pool Service if there is a better way I can communicate with you I can send you a picture or video of my set up . We bought the house recently.

This is about as good as it gets. I don't think there is a video where you can purchase it to learn the settings. Also, you can attend a Pentair Training and at each seat they have a drive and you program the pump there while in class.
So if you look in the top center of the LCD when you're programming it will let you know which buttons you can or cannot hit. For instance, if only "left" and "right" arrows are useable then all you'll see is < and >. If you're trying to highlight or choose a program to be changed hit "select". Once you're done with whatever you're programming then hit "save". Then you'll want to hit "back" to back out of what you're currently in to go somewhere else. I hope this helps.
Give me a simpler user friendly pump. This one is bad. Ergo, video presenters slur thru the settings and terms without explaining adequately. What is and "egg timer." Just want to get the pump to go on and off adequately. Not boil eggs.
Great job of explaining everything, very detailed and smooth camera operation! Best video for the pentair vsf on TH-cam!
Thanks for the helpful video - this is a heck of a lot easier to understand than the user manual. Much appreciated!
You’re very welcome. Thanks for watching!

Thanks, this was help me how to do first time know nothing about pool pump💕
Great videos-thank you. Why won’t my new pump schedule seem to work. Keeps going to previous schedule.
Is there a conflicting schedule?

I’m glad my video was able to help. Sorry for the delayed response. For some reason YT emails were going to my spam. Thanks for watching!
How do you just set it for 23hrs/day at 40gpm? And if we do this, do we really need to set a quick clean?

Why does manual mode just turn on automatically, doesn’t seem like “manual”

What is “timeout” and what’s the main purpose?

Thanks, this helped me figure out the cheap amazon pump (blue torrent) that my home warranty company replaced my pump with
You're very welcome! I'm glad it helped you. Have a great day.
Thanks for the help 😊
You’re very welcome!
How do I set the pump to run 48hrs continuous to reduce phosphates with Phosfree? What speed? Thank you

I have program 5 set from 930am to 500pm it’s turning on but not shutting off ? Also the screen flashes display in active constantly.

How do you do the back door reset on this pump ?
In the settings menu there should be a factory reset (or some terminology along those lines).
were can I buy a vidio tolern about the settings

I go to the menu and settings comes up and I hit select and a error code comes up! What to do!?
What error code is it giving you?
Chlorine King Pool Service the error code that comes up says, Key Error! Key not in use! Thanks

Chlorine King Pool Service those arrows aren’t there, nothings there but the word setting then when I press enter button the error code comes up.
Useful. Thank you.

While this pump has a lot of different settings, it's a really good pump. One of the best on the market.
