Clear the respect all the journalists have for Vincent Browne that they all let him at it uninterrupted as he was asking what they all wanted to know. V hard to replace him. A lost voice for democracy
Brian Cowen was the worst Taoiseach in the history of the Irish State. He presided over the horrendous bank bailout of 2008, which cost the Irish people a whopping 64.1 billion euro. He was in charge when Ireland lost our economic and fiscal sovereignty in 2010 as part of the EU/IMF bailout. Also, he was a horribly incompetent Minister for Finance from 2004 to 2008, majorly increasing Government spending and treating the State's finances recklessly just before the 2008 crash happened. These are the facts. Furthermore, he was a poor Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Health in previous ministerial roles. History will remember him as the worst Taoiseach we ever had.
Wow, I hope we had brave journalists like Mr. Browne here in India. No1 speaks to them like they deserve to be spoken to... !!! What a man Vincent Browne, RESPCT !
Debt created by Fraud is illegal and it should be declared void....! The Irish people should seriously get together and challenge the Legality of their Liability for that Debt....!

VB is simply asking the obvious questions that would occur to any person living in this country with some degree of intelligence. Its amazing with a room full of journalists that it falls to VB to ask the obvious, and seek some kind of accountability. The typical way in Ireland is not to ask an awkward or relevant question, least it might hinder ones future career prospects. It has to be a major crises before the obvious common sense question can be asked especially on issues of governance.
Browne, you are so good at this, you can read through the bull and call them up if they don't answer the questions, to be honest, I would have given up out of frustration half way through. I know that is bad but I'm really glad we have Browne's likes in our society.

@40ny what angers me more is we didnt even elect him to become taoiseach, ive never voted in my life and i dont have that much interest in politics but when this election comes around i will definately be at the polling station to get this clown and his cohorts out of office
I agree. The difference I see is that regardless to how much their decimating our economy, Enda Kenny knows exactly what he's doing. Brian Cowen hadn't a scooby doo what he was at.
vincent was very angry and, for once, almost red in the face. the other man was very calm throughout. normally, vincent wears down the opponent, like joan burton but, in this instance, came up against a stone wall.

Vincent grandstanding as Vincent does. Ireland, pop: 5 million (and Greece, Spain, Portugal, Cyprus) had two choices - refuse EU/IMF assistance and collapse the Euro currency which serves 550 million people, or accept it and protect their economy and save the Euro. They saved the Euro. Ireland closed 3 of its 6 banks and jailed, at least, some of its bankers. Economics doesn't have a flag. Ireland was screwed on the bondholders, but that's a different story.

What a sad reflection on us as a country that we put this guy in power.
Vincent destroyed him. Excellent video!
this is the public are missing in the western world when journalism is conpromised and gagged ...
The reason he can't give you a straight answer, Vincent is simple, he's a politician.
