Those are not rescued cubs. They're African Black Backed Jackals. Mikayla owns a breeding pair for a conservation program working to save them from extinction. They have to hand-raise the pups so they're tame and can teach people about wildlife conservation.

I absolutely adore foxes I've seen them near work . Your lot are so gorgeous I love them all finigan is funny what a great out side they have . I've got 2 cats Coco ,ice baby they are ,2savanahas very funny intelligent and beautiful I absolutely adore them both love them to bits
Foxes handle cold winter days better than they do the warmest summer days:) They get that nice winter coat and temp regulation is good. What kills wild animals in arctic / subarctic climate zones during winter is starvation more than anything. They've evolved to handle the freezing temperatures though. Most dog breeds handle cold really well but the warmer summer days is a pain in the ass for them.
There was a "Nature of things" documentary that talked about the existence of coy-wolves. I can tell you that I've seen critters that were not the classic definition of either, but kinda looked like a cross of the two. I'm not willing to bet on it, but it is possible that those little guys are a hybrid. The animals that were followed in the documentary were solitary like coyotes, but more curious and willing to interact with people. One animal in the show liked to watch kids play street hockey in an Ontario town. Not dissimilar to a timid dog. They were somewhere in between a coyote and a wolf in size. If dogs and wolves can produce viable offspring, then a coy-wolf isn't a stretch.

A large portion of these foxes are rescued from fur farms and most likely not survive in the wild.
