I must put a Bounce sheet with my manual die cuts tonight so I don't forget this. I love the look of the inlay and the colouring technique is brilliant for small pieces! Thanks Jen.
Oh my gosh, Jennifer...I want to stop buying, but every one of your cards is so beautiful I always have something else I want to try. Your cards are soooo gorgeous, and you're so honest about the process that one can tell you're not just pushing product. I admire that. Thank you!!!
I love this card. The faux stitching is awesome and I love the folk art feel of the little flowers in the word die cut. Awesome! Great die cutting tips too. Thanks so much!
Jennifer, your work is outstanding and you always leave your viewers inspired. I don't have many dies but I will keep your tips handy. Thank you very much.
I loved this card so much. It has that warm feel of a quilt and would work great also with a "get well sentiment" under the hug. You are awesome, Jen. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the inspiration, Jennifer. I really appreciate how you mix-and-match your stamp sets. I think mixing and matching stamps/dies makes each card more unique and, therefore, even more special. I hope you enjoy your day.
Hi Jennifer - your creations always leave me in awe! This reminds of old European paint decorations on furniture and on flower boxes... If only I could have one molecule of your imagination lol. Thank you for inspiring all of us!
What a beautiful card. I just love the look of the background line dies. Thank you so much for all the great tips you share with us. Just love the hugs die. So sweet, love the little flowers.
Jennifer this is a really beautiful card and I love how you did it. I was fooled too into thinking it was all inlaid all those little pieces. Now only you would think this up because you must spend hours dreaming up new things. Thank God we all have you to follow for our increasing techniques and great tutorials....thanks Jennifer for all your hard work and sharing. pat
I love this technique! Now I'm going to have to go shopping again to find a die that will cut this big. Love watching your tutorials, I'm learning so much!
I absolutely love your cards! The die with all those bits is awesome and turns out some stunning cards. I also love your idea of keeping all the dies for the faux stitching together and using them to design your cardstock. Awesome, awesome, awesome!
Super card design!! I absolutely LOVE the background with all the stitching! It adds so much dimension to the card and makes an already wonderful design that much better!!! ANY one would feel so special to get this card in the mail.
This card is adorable! I have many dies (remember QuicKutz alphabet die plates?) but none similar to this one. As always, your videos inspires me to work with what I have, tho' I always want more. That stitch bordering is a great added touch! Thanks Jennifer!
OMG Jennifer Your card is so Gorgeous!! I loved so LOVED watching your total creative process You so wowed me and your tips for die cutting so rock I just added bounce softener sheets to my grocery list LOL TMI? LOL!! Anywho so cool how you colored the inlaid pieces....what super awesome video / tutorial. Girl you are so full of amazing, clever and creative ideas! You never ceases to amaze me!! YOU gotta know YOU ROCK!! Joan Smith
I just purchased the Lawn Fawn stitch dies. I'm hoping this will add that extra touch to my cards. I'm hoping I can use them to place square stitches inside a circle cut.
Wow, your card is beautiful Jennifer! Love the idea of using a diecut in this way - it looks amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us!
Love this card and love the hugs and border dies that you used. Will have to add them to my want list!!! Also love the stamp set you used, I had not seen that one. Thanks for all your post, love your cards!
Hi Jennifer ~ I can't begin to tell you how amazing your techniques are with this card. I wish my brain worked the same way yours does. LOL As always, thanks for sharing your awesome talent with us!
As always another great card with lots of ideas and tips! I love, love this background!! Now, I definitively need a manual die cutting matching 'cause my Cricut Explore Air can't make that great background!! I've been holding out because I want to go big with the Big Shot Pro so I can use all kinds of dies and materials, but you have me reconsidering because I don't think I can't wait 'til the Holidays for one!
i have seen the dryer sheet tip before and I bought some, the only one I could find are wet and smell way to strongly, not bad but just too much...these are dry i suppose? cos wet doesn;t work lol...so yesterday I rubber a candle on a border die that didn;t want to release anything, and that worked for me
hi Jennifer....I had a quick question ....I've been seeing some beautiful acetate over lays and I was wondering if it is possible to wet emboss on clear acetate??? or a way to create my own over lays??? if you could maybe do a tutorial that would be awesome!!!!! big hugs from KY......Laura
Looks like more items going to my wish list! Gosh darn it I'm so poor for this hobby! Must stop watching videos! LOL actually your card was very pretty & great tips!
Jennifer your cards are absolutely beautiful. I am new to card making and find they are not nearly as easy to create as you make it seem...I never feel that my cards look "special" enough... any tips for a newbie?
Which is the best position for the dies to cut -facing up to the rollers or facing down away from the rollers? Which position causes less warping/bowing of the acrylic plates?
You are really clever. I'm losing my mind with die cuts because I hardly ever use them. I used to have a Big Shot and sold it several years ago, but I bought a Cuttlebug about 6 months ago. I have a butterfly die that I love but it is IMPOSSIBLE to cut completely no matter what I try. I ordered another die cut machine that I thought would work better and I promptly returned it and was glad I still had the Cuttlebug. Do you think the metal adaptor plate will solve the problem? I used to have one of those too. Your idea of coloring those little pieces that often don't come out anyway is a good one. And your inlay is beautiful. Mostly I do parchment craft, or use my Force to cut shapes that I design, but once in awhile I fall in love with a die that I've seen and then tear my hair out trying to get a good cut.
Andrea Friedell I'm not sure if you found peace with intricate dies yet; however, I have found that for me I have the best results if I run the die through once then turn the die a quarter turn, then run it through again. That way the rollers hits the die in two different spots that should do the job without tearing your hair out. If all else fails run the die forwards and back again then turn the die and repeat. Hope that helps.
Loved this card so much that I ordered the die and stamp set immediately after watching it. It is so cool. I do have a problem, though. I cannot get the tiny little pieces to stay in the die cut. I have run it through the Big shot several times and even rubbed over the top with the dryer sheet and for the life of me I can't figure out to keep the tiny little pieces in there. There is no way that I have the patience or the time (I watch my three grandchildren during the day until school starts) to glue all those tiny little pieces in the die cut. Any ideas? It's such a great card. I want to make it for my friend who fell while on vacation and broke her hip.
Jennifer McGuire Ink Thanks, Jennifer. I am using the Neenah 80 lb cardstack. I thought that maybe I was cutting too deep with the metal shim. I tried it without it and it still didn't work. I will try using two sheets and see if that works. Thanks for your response.
Hi Jennifer, I know this is old but I just love this style of card. I tried to find the HUGS die but could not. I have been searching for something similar in style, but cannot! Any ideas??
Honestly, I don't know what I'd do without you, Jennifer! Thank you.
Great tip, keeping the little pieces in the die cut piece. You sure know all the neat tricks.
These are some great tips - thanks for sharing. I am "die-cut challenged" and actually seeing you implement these techniques really helps.
I must put a Bounce sheet with my manual die cuts tonight so I don't forget this. I love the look of the inlay and the colouring technique is brilliant for small pieces! Thanks Jen.

Rhandi DeMars try using thicker cardstock or gluing two sheets togetehr to die cut.
Jennifer McGuire Ink Thanks, Jennifer. I am using the Neenah 80 lb cardstack. I thought that maybe I was cutting too deep with the metal shim. I tried it without it and it still didn't work. I will try using two sheets and see if that works. Thanks for your response.

Loved it. Thanks for another wonderful video!
You are awesome , awesome, AWESOME JM!
Hi Jennifer, I know this is old but I just love this style of card. I tried to find the HUGS die but could not. I have been searching for something similar in style, but cannot! Any ideas??
You have so any tips in every video, glad I subscribe to your videos1
If you use dryer sheets are you still able to paint your letters if you wanted to?
The second time you used the hugs die, you didnt used the adapter plate & it still cut great. Is that because of the dryer sheet?
I swear, sometimes I forget your cards are homemade. Hallmark should hire you. lol
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful card.
Love the size of the die where do we order?
