Gangle's new mask seems like a representation of "putting on a brave face" to appear put-together in front of others, especially in a setting like this.
My line of reasoning: this is a retelling of gangle’s previous life, as already said, but I think the truck scene, with the two different masks, shows her reason why she put the headset on. She was not happy with what was going on and who she was, and when she threw the mask, it just sat there, like she just threw her old life away. But as she jumped into the headset, into her new life, the truck signified how she made her choice and isn’t coming back, regretting throwing her old life away
If the eventual rising stakes of the plot does come from Caine beginning to hate the humans like is speculated on during the Zooble and Jax conversation than 35:15 is a huge piece of foreshadowing for it, like Caine gets the idea the people horribly suffering if they fail the adventures is what will make them great and it just spirals from there.
Honestly props to Pomni. She saw that Gangles problems aren’t the type a talk can fix, but still tries to find ways to support her. Pomni is trying we love that
I swear that everytime I see Gangle in her uniform she immediately makes me think of Dave Miller from DSAF Also have to wonder how many of the request in the suggestion box were from characters who we did not get to see. So many lost memories of folks before Pomni's time
Dude, the “employee reevaluation” reminds of like… I think it was from Halloween 3? The one with the masks? I feel like the TV ad for the masks in the movie sounded the same? Maybe? That or I’m thinking of something else. Also, girlie literally gets isekai’d.
The funny thing about this episode and Jax being an asshole because there are no consequences... In this episode, there ARE consequences And, quite clearly, it WORKS lmao. Like, it doesn't prevent Jax from still being an ass, because he IS an ass, but after his little 'reconditioning' scene there are very distinctly no more moments of him deliberately causing trouble like tossing Ragatha in the fryer. When there are consequences to his bullshit, he DOES adjust his behavior, even if grudgingly. That might oddly be the thing that saves him from getting abstracted, I have a funny feeling.
HIHIHI HYPERFIXATED FUCK HERE, I SCREAMED HEARING THAT AND I FUCKING LOVE TADC FOR REFERENCING IT AGAIN WITHOUT USING JAX. Jax just has Andys voice from the 1979 film, but I am SO happy Ragatha quoted no girls toy
2:27:30 In the closing the door on gummygoo part i feel like it could also be that he feels bad for not recognizing her when she obviously recognizes him. Like feeling bad that it seems like he should know her but just dosent.
Remember, it’s okay to cry. Don’t hide your tears with a happy mask! It’s okay to be sad sometimes. (Get it? Hiding your tears with a happy mask?? LIKE GANGLE??)
2:30:15 I think a better example of AI remembering interactions with others even after being shut off and on again? Neuro-Sama. Her sister AI, "Evil," had an infamously DEPRESSINGLY LONELY birthday stream... _and she remembers it enough to reference that event._ Like, watch a few streams where they interact with living people, watch how the relationships build off of prior interactions.
1:41:01 to 1:41:37 gonna go ahead and let phil speak for me (he pretty much takes the words out of my mouth) but in contrast to phil, i HAVE experienced periods of depression - the worst one was just before i asked about re-diagnosing me for adhd. the possibility of me having adhd hadn't been mentioned in 6-7 years, but i was suffering heavily in school from a creeping inability to do any busy work, or really any work at all. i was really gifted as a child and even skipped a grade, so my biggest achievement then (and probably still to this day) was my incredible intellect and academics. but when i started to really struggle to even look at a page of homework, i started to feel useless. the biggest thing about myself that i was so proud of and that so many people admired me for - crippled, if not gone. the feeling of uselessness nearly - no, it truly took me off the deep end. one year, nine months, and ten days ago i almost committed suicide. i don't know what stopped me, why i kept going on with life... and as scary as it is to know how fragile the mind can be and to not know what saved me, i'm still glad i'm alive to this day. yes, i've still experienced quite a bit of suffering since then because of adhd, and other horrible, mind-shattering things have happened to me... but so many wonderful, wonderful things have happened as well. and phil's right - medication alone won't take away mental problems; you have to make the effort to improve as well.
My personal explanation for the Jax license plate being Jax.001 is that it’s a reflection of his own narcissism. He constantly acts like he’s infallible and better than everyone else and the plate is the circus’ way of taunting him by calling him the best after basically torturing him for a whole episode.
I feel like with each episode focusing on these characters, it's gonna be super fucking hard to properly rank which one you love the most. I find it interesting how Zooble has had such a focus on two episodes in a row, despite not being "the Main Circus Member Who It's About This Time." First with the 1-on-1 with Caine, now this with Gangle. And also how this time, Jax actually tried to connect a bit with Pomni - granted, it's cut off almost instantly, but the effort on his part is noticeable. As for Ragatha... I hate to bring it up, but The Infamous Line she gives, it reminds me a bit of when in Hoemstuck Jane Crocker tells her friend, the recovering alcoholic, that she liked her better when she drank. And I think that a reason that Ragatha's metaphorical mask was stripped away with the "stupid juice," it's also let slip that she's extremely lonely and just... bitter at the fact that she can't form strong connections with the others, in spite of trying to be a Nice Gal?? Like the "I kinda hate you, but I don't want you to hate me" line to Jax plays into that too. Ragatha wants to be loved, but she's acting in a way that she THINKS should get her love... and is frustrated at the lack of it. And is further frustrated at the inability (or the unwillingness) to actually express herself honestly, because she doesn't want people to be distant with her, and she thinks honesty will make her existing issue even worse.
I have gone through points in my life where I realized medication was making me unhappy like adderall, but I still rely on other types of medication because I feel better when I do. It's not in a "normal way" but in a better actualization of myself kind of a way if that makes sense. I think it's something that depends on the individual.
Watching Gangle throw away her mask, smile genuinely with a look of relief before jumping on the road and feeling shock. Like she was waiting to die at that point and only realised what she'd committed to when it was too late. That sure was a scene and I don't really know what I could say to that
The more fleshing out of zooble made them so much of a better character to me. Plus I’d like to add, Caine has to reuse old npcs bc he probably has a max capacity like, only so many npc he can use/have so ofc has to reuse them. With that being said I don’t think this will be the last time we see gummigoo, and I hope Pomni can find some way to at least still see him bc AAAAA-
I very much believe that Jax feels like he can’t apologize, and that him saying ‘I didn’t mean to do that’ was as close as he could get to one. From what he said when he was watching that video and how he acts, I think Jax puts on a tough bully act of sorts to protect himself. Has to know if anyone can see him struggling/having a bad time because if the others saw him getting freaked out by GANGLE, or anyone but especially crybaby Gangle of all people, it would destroy his fragile ego and sense of safety. He’s that annoying bully class clown kid who you know has some shit going on at home and would toe the line during school to get a sense of power and control from bullying the weaker kids without getting in trouble for it
The way I see it, her usual comedy mask is a medication that makes her feel normal and functional, but it's pretty weak, and as soon as something bad happens it stops working and she's back to square one. It's not a _bad_ fit for her but it could be better. Meanwhile the new mask was a stronger medication that was supposed to be a less fragile solution, but really it exacerbated all her emotions causing extreme manic and depressive episodes. It wasn't healthy for her at all.
I starting to think every character is linked to some kind of mental disorder. Gangle is depression, Kinger is dementia, Jax is narcissistic, Pomni is (maybe) anxiety, Zooble is gender dysphoria, and Ragatha is Imposter Syndrome. This is just my thought that appeared while watching this. Idk if it has ever been considered a theory either. (Haven't heard anything personally about this)
nononononono i feel like jax is a literal psychopath "1. A person who engages repeatedly in criminal and antisocial behavior without remorse or empathy for those victimized. 2. A person with a personality disorder indicated by a pattern of lying, cunning, manipulating, glibness, exploiting, heedlessness, arrogance, delusions of grandeur, sexual promiscuity, low self-control, disregard for morality, lack of acceptance of responsibility, callousness, and lack of empathy and remorse. Such an individual may be especially prone to violent and criminal offenses. 3. A person diagnosed with antisocial or dissocial personality disorder."

2:07:40 ...well THAT'S a concerning thought, given that just last episode Caine genuinely lost his cool for the first time at ZOOBLE, the character Jax said "that's rich coming from you" to 2:32:23 AND THEN HE DOES THIS
Part of me wonders if Jax is mean to others because he has his own way of dealing with depression. Gangle isolates themself at the end of the episode, believing nobody likes them. Their happy mask is just a front they use to hide their true self, and when it comes off, they wind up pushing themself away from others. Jax instead acts like an ass, choosing to treat others like entertainment. I think this is his way of isolating himself. He makes others want to leave him alone because he’s undesirable, and so he gets to wallow in self hatred and regret.
I'm guessing the Gangle Analog Horror face could imply that Ragatha sees Gangle as creepy. 1:37:00 The 1138 on the license plate is a Star Wars reference.
This episode is really good omfg! I love how they did gangle in it tbh (it even better since she was my main fav in the show) like holy hell this was really good!!!
i imagined like. Caine gave only Kinger the A+ because he was the only one who was like. Enthusiastic about the adventure. Sort of like how you were talking about Caine's artistic vision and being like praised and everything earlier in the steam. i dunno
2:25:00 Gummigoo just looks really tired for the most part. The two ways I interpret this scene is either; Gummigoo genuinely doesn't know who she is and is just weirded out. Or he does but is trying to silently communicate to Pomni that whatever they had between them cannot exist anymore because one of them is real and the other isn't, and Caine made that evident when he erased him the first time. I think the first one is more likely tho
In the ending scene (before going back to the circus), To a depressed person, suddenly becoming so happy is usually a sign of suicide. Such a high is not usual in such a sharp amount of time, it's usually gradual in order to be healthy. To those wondering, the look of surprise in her face before the truck hits, it's also usual for suicide, most people regret their decision. She acted on instinct, without thinking, and she realized the consequences before she could stop herself, and the act was already done. As a person who attempted, I regretted as soon as I started, and it was good someone came to help. It may have looked like she slipped, but that doesn't feel like it to me.
After Kinger showed his sane side last time, I came to expect the show would be about mental topics, but I didn't expect THIS. Episode 1: Anxiety Episode 2: Identity Episode 3: Dementia/Dysphoria Episode 4: Depression I can't say this show is very subtle, but let it not be said it isn't heartwrenching. Good thing there's some hilarious details like the stupid sauce being pink. Heh, I can't not love that jab at tiktok.
Your point for Gummigoo was right, if you listen closely to Orbsman voicelines when he orders 2 voice line can be heard, "Hi I would like to order" "Yes Ragatha it's me Orbsman, therefor I would like to order the number 57-" (I can't recognize the last word) But even though the low/first npc ai immersive can remember such names and memories
Were I there, I definitely would not say THAT about Gangle's mask. Not sure if what I'd say is better or worse... "Look, no offense, Gangle... you don't look like yourself with that mask on. I mean, good for you if it's really making you happy, I like seeing you happy, but... there's something about that smile that feels... off... I don't think it's the real you, and I prefer seeing that. If you're not okay, that's... okay." Speaking of that scene, Raggie complaining about the pain of dancin lessons and boxes and tea parties is a Raggedy Andy reference! XD
Ragahta is caring but only because she feel like she must be. It a bad situation to be in, so the right thing to do is caring. But none of that is personal, it just the thing you should do. She does it because she pity the new "kid". Nothing personal about it
This is just me speculating for funsies based on nothing , but i like to imagine that ragatha maybe has family issues with like a neglectful mother to give additional meaning to the “that’s beautiful” when the mother talks about cherishing all her gloinks
Gangle was basically mask being put on and ragatha was mask coming off huh Also think it’s important to mention that Gangle’s sudden shift to relief was sorta… sudden. There was no real build up to it which is what made it feel weird at first, then the truck thing happened… and yeah.
My biggest concern going forward is that Gangle introduced the idea of punishment to Caine's AI. It makes me wonder if Caine will start adding more "motivation" to his adventures going forward.
I wonder if Ragatha’s superficial motherly nature was in any way inspired by Ellen from “I have no mouth and must scream”, since both characters serve similar roles as being the emotional anchor for the other main characters.
I'm starting to think that the in-universe TADC game was made with an objective of being a therapy game, since most of our characters so far had showed some kind of depression in their lifes. - Kinger lost his wife and couldn't bear the loss behind his programming job - Gangle wanted to be an artist, but the harsh reality of life made she think that was a dead dream, and so she struggles to keep up with her actual job We have yet to find what the rest did before going into the game, and we will probably get into Zooble or Ragatha on the next episode
@sofiantz2142 I know and I don't even hate it or anything I'm just saying they don't really have any chemistry except maybe as a "love to hate you" kind of ship
I’m curious to see if episode 5 will be about Ragatha, and force her open whatever that may entail. Like it really seems she wants to help she just doesn’t know how and thus either comes off as or is fake. Watch her biggest crime be being neurotypical
You think that Pomni was actually a therapist? Like thats the reason why shes the jester, because jesters were allowed to make fun of the king and their main purpose was to bring joy to others.

Pomni is trying we love that
1:34:24 Like Ferb Fletcher once said, "If you love someone, you'll meet them halfway."
I swear that everytime I see Gangle in her uniform she immediately makes me think of Dave Miller from DSAF
Also have to wonder how many of the request in the suggestion box were from characters who we did not get to see.
Yes, it’s a reference!!
The funny thing about this episode and Jax being an asshole because there are no consequences...
In this episode, there ARE consequences
And, quite clearly, it WORKS lmao.
43:48 please, i cant be the only one that got this reference
Its from raggedy Ann n Andy
HIHIHI HYPERFIXATED FUCK HERE, I SCREAMED HEARING THAT AND I FUCKING LOVE TADC FOR REFERENCING IT AGAIN WITHOUT USING JAX.
Jax just has Andys voice from the 1979 film, but I am SO happy Ragatha quoted no girls toy
I GOT IT!!! i thought the reference was really cute.
I’ve watched the musical movie so many times it’s impossible for me not to notice!!
OHHHHHHHHH GODDAMMIT IM STUPID
Reaction starts at 30:13
Awesome stream overall! Kudos to Glitch productions for this amazing episode, had me in tears at some parts.
2:27:30 In the closing the door on gummygoo part i feel like it could also be that he feels bad for not recognizing her when she obviously recognizes him. Like feeling bad that it seems like he should know her but just dosent.
No! I’m not crying at the silly cartoon! You’re crying!
_and she remembers it enough to reference that event._
Like, watch a few streams where they interact with living people, watch how the relationships build off of prior interactions.
1:41:01 to 1:41:37 gonna go ahead and let phil speak for me (he pretty much takes the words out of my mouth)
but in contrast to phil, i HAVE experienced periods of depression - the worst one was just before i asked about re-diagnosing me for adhd. the possibility of me having adhd hadn't been mentioned in 6-7 years, but i was suffering heavily in school from a creeping inability to do any busy work, or really any work at all. i was really gifted as a child and even skipped a grade, so my biggest achievement then (and probably still to this day) was my incredible intellect and academics. but when i started to really struggle to even look at a page of homework, i started to feel useless. the biggest thing about myself that i was so proud of and that so many people admired me for - crippled, if not gone. the feeling of uselessness nearly - no, it truly took me off the deep end. one year, nine months, and ten days ago i almost committed suicide. i don't know what stopped me, why i kept going on with life... and as scary as it is to know how fragile the mind can be and to not know what saved me, i'm still glad i'm alive to this day. yes, i've still experienced quite a bit of suffering since then because of adhd, and other horrible, mind-shattering things have happened to me... but so many wonderful, wonderful things have happened as well. and phil's right - medication alone won't take away mental problems; you have to make the effort to improve as well.
My personal explanation for the Jax license plate being Jax.001 is that it’s a reflection of his own narcissism. He constantly acts like he’s infallible and better than everyone else and the plate is the circus’ way of taunting him by calling him the best after basically torturing him for a whole episode.
I belive its a reference to unity
That sure was a scene and I don't really know what I could say to that
39:07 HE REMEMBERS NO WAY
INSERT FUNNY THING HERE
The more fleshing out of zooble made them so much of a better character to me.
Local streamer watches cartoon, politely asked to experience earthquake.
Tadc ep so good, It shook the world and caused a earthquake.
Happy mothafuckin’ Friday the 13th
only part of the world apparently
true
1:27:35 I think this represents how Ragatha sees Gangle with the happy mask. Which makes me curious how she sees the others.
“Nananana nananana NANANANA- *THE BURGER JAX* nananannanana” 52:58
Some of the ads flowed really funnily into the video for me.
1:52:46 “Alright, time to see the creepy shit” *Simply Piano ad immediately plays*
I'm sorry, but I can't stop thinking about what would have happened if gangle heard ragitha say "I wish someone would flirt with me"
I starting to think every character is linked to some kind of mental disorder. (Haven't heard anything personally about this)
nononononono i feel like jax is a literal psychopath
@millie_the_beetle yeah that makes more sense
@@millie_the_beetleHe's much closer to NPD than ASPD. He's not defined by manipulation or impulsive violence, he hurts others so he doesn't have to think about his own problems. That's like textbook NPD, masking a fragile ego with a grandiose and overconfident facade. His whole thing is acting as if he's above it all as he uses others to reinforce his ego, it's all insecurity

2:07:40 ...well THAT'S a concerning thought, given that just last episode Caine genuinely lost his cool for the first time at ZOOBLE, the character Jax said "that's rich coming from you" to
2:32:23 AND THEN HE DOES THIS
I guess Gangle took responsibility.
Im glad I stayed for the discussion, im just so sick of content farms and kids taking this at a surface level, constantly leaving dumb comments.
37:12 this shit is fucking haunting
This show continues to get better and better. Can't wait to see the slop-a-thon tomorrow! Edit: nvm it's on sunday
i imagined like. Caine gave only Kinger the A+ because he was the only one who was like. Enthusiastic about the adventure. Sort of like how you were talking about Caine's artistic vision and being like praised and everything earlier in the steam. i dunno
This episode made me love Gangle more. I love this series
2:25:00 Gummigoo just looks really tired for the most part.
The two ways I interpret this scene is either;
Gummigoo genuinely doesn't know who she is and is just weirded out.
35:16 Caine was pointing at you, Phis.
41:47 I JUST REALIZED THAT BEAT WHEN THE TRAINING VIDEO STARTS IS A LOT LIKE RICK ASTLEY'S
I remember Caine on episode 2 saying that in this episodes adventure he's testing his new AI, so Gummigoo must remember some stuff
legend has it you can stop earthquakes by putting all your toxic cesspit merch into a pentagram
37:43 "From the way that they're talking, they're- GUMMIGOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-" was perfect
After Kinger showed his sane side last time, I came to expect the show would be about mental topics, but I didn't expect THIS.
Episode 1: Anxiety
Episode 2: Identity
Episode 3: Dementia/Dysphoria
Episode 4: Depression
I can't say this show is very subtle, but let it not be said it isn't heartwrenching. Good thing there's some hilarious details like the stupid sauce being pink. Heh, I can't not love that jab at tiktok.
1:15:25 im laughing my ass off because the chat inmediatly exploded after you said that
I’m flabbergasted at the sheer amount of key details of this episode Phil accurately predicted - like exactly on point.
Ragatha is a people pleaser
When Jax finally breaks it will be insane.
Your point for Gummigoo was right, if you listen closely to Orbsman voicelines when he orders 2 voice line can be heard,
"Hi I would like to order"
"Yes Ragatha it's me Orbsman, therefor I would like to order the number 57-" (I can't recognize the last word)
But even though the low/first npc ai immersive can remember such names and memories
If you're not okay, that's... okay."
Speaking of that scene, Raggie complaining about the pain of dancin lessons and boxes and tea parties is a Raggedy Andy reference! XD
Fun fact: when ragitha was ranting she actually makes a reference from raggedy ann and andy.
Gangle was basically mask being put on and ragatha was mask coming off huh
Also think it’s important to mention that Gangle’s sudden shift to relief was sorta… sudden. There was no real build up to it which is what made it feel weird at first, then the truck thing happened… and yeah.
Does Gummigoo's mates know what Adult toys are!?
I died at that part
god how tired was i when i made that hyper literal take on the ending of this episode, this was such a good episode
Phil with the Phi figure is Jax with the other Characters
_"BECAUSE IT'S FUNNY"_ smh
Fast food?
I hardly know her!
Wait that's not how that goes
huh
The canonical event that Phil must endure severment by the torso after going bald.
Incredible episode man there is just so much to take in man
My biggest concern going forward is that Gangle introduced the idea of punishment to Caine's AI. It makes me wonder if Caine will start adding more "motivation" to his adventures going forward.
I wonder if Ragatha’s superficial motherly nature was in any way inspired by Ellen from “I have no mouth and must scream”, since both characters serve similar roles as being the emotional anchor for the other main characters.
coming to see the vod just to see if Phil caught the earthquake live jaja saludos
Fun stream just chill as always. Time to go prepare myself for the slopathon tomorrow
I'm starting to think that the in-universe TADC game was made with an objective of being a therapy game, since most of our characters so far had showed some kind of depression in their lifes.
- Kinger lost his wife and couldn't bear the loss behind his programming job
- Gangle wanted to be an artist, but the harsh reality of life made she think that was a dead dream, and so she struggles to keep up with her actual job
We have yet to find what the rest did before going into the game, and we will probably get into Zooble or Ragatha on the next episode
I swear the only reason Jax x Pomni was/is a popular ship is bc Jax is the main guy character and Pomni is the main girl character. That's it.
i mean gooseworx said u can ship whatever so ppl r going to lol
@sofiantz2142 I know and I don't even hate it or anything I'm just saying they don't really have any chemistry except maybe as a "love to hate you" kind of ship
I’m curious to see if episode 5 will be about Ragatha, and force her open whatever that may entail. Like it really seems she wants to help she just doesn’t know how and thus either comes off as or is fake. Watch her biggest crime be being neurotypical
I do not believe any of these characters are neurotypical.
Maybe Kinger before everything. Or Kaufmo before he abstracted.
ragatha: why is my body doing this thing, im like a puppet on a string
1:15:25 the giant dragon *WHAT*
You think that Pomni was actually a therapist? Like thats the reason why shes the jester, because jesters were allowed to make fun of the king and their main purpose was to bring joy to others.
That moment when you already watched the episode and Phil is talki g about his predictions and all this time i'm just thinking "who told him"
1:09:33 Olvide que Phisnom vivia en Chile, xdd
But yeah, as a fellow chilean myself, 6.3? that shit is like the most avarage earthquake you could get here and not worry about it, but in appartments you do feel it more than normal so i get that
Good bit tbh, hopefuly Phil's TV is ok
The Bald Phi vinyl figure isn't tho look at this 1:12:06
I didn't know you are from chile, greatings from brazil ❤
45:55 I never thought of it before, but... has Michael Kovach been through that? That delivery sounds too real.
“Na na na, na na na-BURGER JAX! Na na na”
The second half made me uncontrollably sob.... for no reason, it just gets so quiet... and atmospheric. 10/10
This episode only affirmed the Pomni/Gummygoo shippers.
Pomni trying to flirt with gummigoo is me for real.
