Great question! We do not unless there’s a reason we can’t leave the hotel or something. But we do make a per diem which is usually about $2 per hour we are away from base so that usually helps to offset some of the food costs❤️
You don't need to apologize for how much or how little you spend. It's just interesting for us to see what things cost in other countries. Could help when we travel there!

I'd just like to point out a few things, as someone who was born in London and spent 29 years living there that might help out anyone who hasn't been and has only watched Kat's vids on London: firstly, it's probably because of the area she's staying in but in terms of grocery shopping, Waitrose and M&S which I see Kat uses are the more upmarket and expensive grocery shops, so naturally the cost breakdown compared to your standard shop like Tesco/Aldi/Lidl/Asda etc will be higher. Keep that in mind if you want to grocery shop in London on a budget. Also you do NOT need to tip anyone, there's no obligation to tip unless you want to. Tipping everyone is literally an American thing only, we pay proper wages to restaurant/service staff so don't feel bad about not tipping anyone. Finally our "minor" currency is called 'pence', I think Kat was calling it 'cents', Pounds and Pence. Oh and also the Tube has a daily fare cap, which I can't remember off the top of my head what it is, I think it's s anywhere between £7-14 depending on the zones you travel so if you're doing a lot of tube travel, once you hit the cap you won't pay for any further journeys. Happy travels!
@@aileenwerner8847 I was airline crew for 13 years in the UK, we only tipped the van drivers in America and no where else. It's very much an American thing.
@@aileenwerner8847 Yeah I’m pretty sure we used to tip in Canada as well. tip from a british girl. if a restaunt offers alchol they have to offer tap water for free, so next time you come to the uk ask for tap water. just so you know for next time. 9 times out of 10 they will put ice in it. also if you have a reuseable waterbotle then the are cafes and other places that will fill them up with water for free.
The tax free in Europe for non-EU travelers works as follow: when you buy something from a store, before you pay you ask for tax free. Then, the cashier will give you a form that’s filled with your passport info (so passport is a must when requesting the tax free). Then, in the end, when you get to the airport you take all the forms you have collected to the corresponding stand and they will give you the tax that you paid back. It’s very simple but you have to be willing to get through the hassle.

Just a tip from a Brit, M&S is one of the most expensive supermarkets in the UK, if you are trying to be savvy with cash then find a Tesco, Aldi or Lidl so much cheaper! Restaurants in central London can be pricey but if you go into the boroughs or even out of London(if you plan to) then you'll find they are soooo much cheaper. London prices are not reflective on the rest of the UK by a lot. ☺️

I think you managed your money well on the London trip. We were just there 2 weeks ago, we did high tea, saw the Musical GREASE and traveled all over London on the tube and bus. Did the London eye too. Ate well and because of your previous vlogs on London, picked up some great tips, and we had an incredible time. I want to go back and spend a few weeks doing just London theatre. We did not have a budget because what if we never get the opportunity to see London again. It’s one of my new favorite world cities. 😎
Great video. Interesting! My angel mom comes to me often. I look for 111's such as the time of 1:11 or 11:11 Happy travels!! Cheers from Cupertino, California
My per diem for work travel is between $55.00 - $65.00 per day plus mileage or transportation expenses. Your trip expenses are right in line with most companies with traveling employees.
Kat, why is it anyones business what you spend on a trip. I love your channel. I love seeing you going around London, going to Marks & Spensers, Primark, trying out some restaurants. Please don’t feel pressured to post what you don’t want to. I enjoy your posts. You cannot go wrong with M & S food or clothing. I grew up shopping there but alas I am now living in Canada.
honestly it does come down to which city you're at, who you're with and what you're do. I've been on trips where I would lock and seal myself until pickup time. then i won't spend a dime. but also I've been on trips where I would over spend and still had a wonderful time.
Kat, if you want an easier way to consume prebiotics, soluble fiber that you’d get in your regular diet is a great way to do this. It’s in oats, beans, lots of vegetables & fruits, and other stuff. The soluble fiber specifically is a natural prebiotic since the gut bacteria feed off of it.
Hello Kat. Thank you for this wonderful video. It is awesome that you have the chance to travel for work, and your job is very important! I think you spent just a right amount. Considering everything you bought and the Chinese meal, it was moderate amount. As you explained at the beginning, you have other jobs besides being a flight attendant. That will explain why you be able to spend spend some money. The food items that you bought at Mark & Spencer look very nice! Glad you return back home well. Sorry for the flight attendant that got sick, is terrible when that happens overseas. Wishing you a wonderful week. Always looking forward to your next video. Stay safe and have fun! Cheers.
I live vicariously through your trips and travel so please keep showing what you eat and places you go, I also don’t think for 3 days that’s a terrible amount to spend. I loved the video and hope you post more soon, maybe of another country to show the difference in London and some other countries.
Hey Ket, I really enjoy your videos between you and Stella you guys are really amazing people you're very nice ladies you tell everything about the Airlines and the trips you go on to it's great that you can take us along with and you explain things I really like that and thank you very much and by the way I did download that website for the food that you get I'm going to try it out sometime
Never mind the money, how do you stay so slim? All those yummy dinners, cafes, and bakeries, oh my! Add to that the irregular sleep which can affect weight and I’d be getting a little chunky(ier). I love all of your videos and especially like that you educate us in being better passengers, but the international videos have been a special treat.
If you ever want to save a bit of money on groceries I recommend Tesco or Sainsbury's ( there is a Sainsbury's on charing cross road just up from China town. There are also 2 Korean grocery stores on that road called Seoul Plaza and Oseyo x
Kat omg, I can’t believe this but I got my CJO yesterday!!!! Not at your airline (with the one that rhymes with ‘shmelta’ 😄) but I couldn’t have done this without all your coaching and tips. Thank you sooo much!
Kate, in London use the Oyster card for the tube. Is easier and better than buy tickets. Also try Tesco, Sainsbury's, Lidl. M&S and Waitrose are good but their prices are quite high.
I spent 17 days in Switzerland earlier this month, and compared to the cost there, you got a bargain. My cousin lives there, so I didn’t have to pay for lodging, but man is that place expensive! Gorgeous country
Thank you!! As a new FA on reserve I’m trying to get on a routine and see how to budget on my International and Domestic trips (so this video is very appreciated)!!
Thank You for sharing your expenses. I agree with you that it is a personal subject for everyone to see. We just increased the tipping to the shuttle bus driver. We went from $1.00 to $2.00 each ride. I honestly feel that they really appreciate it more .
Hi Kat, greaty post, like all of us who travel overseas we all like to shop & take things home with us. It is the same for me when in the US I always head for the grocery store & stock up on Carlalina Salad Dressing as we can't get it in the UK. Always nice to pull something out of the food cupboard when entertaining at home which is not usually available.
Thanks for the info Kat! Less than $150USD for 3 days? That's terrific! One good meal with cocktails can easily slide right over the $100USD mark easily. And you eat alot of the foods that I enjoy so it's great to know that such things exist in the UK and elsewhere. How and where you spend your hard earned $$ is entirely your business, but you are kind and share that information with all of us, which is really cool. Safe travels on your journey to Dublin!
Hi Kat 👋. Great video, as usual. 👍. I have been totally enjoying your London "shuttle flights" this summer. It's my favorite city to visit. I can't wait to see your Dublin trip. Thanks for sharing what you spent on this trip. It really wasn't that bad, really. I was surprised you didn't get your "chili chips" this time. Did you get "chipped out"?🤣. Take care, please say hi to your favorite "Chip" and give your babies some "huggings". 🤗❤️✈️🙏🌎
It's interesting how salty (your words) you said you became. I took the interest in your purchases as concern. If anything, I've questioned it because I feel bad that at times, you have very little choice but to purchase on the go......depending how long you will be working...and with the fact you can't depend on the refrigerators working correctly. BTW........I love how you take us food shopping and how you love to experience new food items. I've been dreaming about the bagged coffees you recently purchased lol! The fact that you are able to go on adventures while getting paid is priceless!!
Omg you lucky person, you’re going on a Dublin trip. That’s my favourite place to visit but I am Irish. You must have had a great trip. Looking forward to seeing your Dublin video🌞
Huge fan! ..very interesting post, i enjoy the perks of non rev travel I was happy to hear about your bump in pay for working a flight down one fa. Tough job working with the public
You are absolutely right.....it is your money. It does make it tough though, for you, because you cannot cut your food costs by bringing your own food. Sure you can buy in your case, in England, but prices are probably quite a bit higher, than other areas in London, as you are mostly in areas where there is more tourism. Thus the prices are probably more inflated. That puts you at a disadvantage. A lot of what you purchased was food!
when doing these comparisons you have to think how much would i be spending if i was at home, a few of the items were for wear so more than 3 days worth. Kat have you considered getting an oyster card for London Transport. it can be used on every trip
I love when you buy different foods and beverages over seas . It's lime I'm traveling thru you while staying home. I honestly think you should do it more. It's interesting to see other countries cultures thru what tourist purchase.
I know the Whole Foods in Kensington doesn't have them, but I skipped M&S. Fortnum and Mason has these AMAZING Huntsman pies that I fell in love with when I stayed in Kensington last year. My recreation was good, but not as good as the original. If M&S has them, it's a pork, chicken, and stuffing pie that is SO good. It is so cool that your London stays are in Kensington, because each video reminds me of my stay there. Can't wait to go back. And wow, I mentioned that Whole Foods before you got to it in your video. I was in there every day of my stay last year. Their cheese and tea sections had tractor beams pulling me in every day. Now addicted to TeaPigs sweet ginger tea thanks to Whole Foods.
I love, LOVE Hyde Park, AND shortbread cookies; they're a lot like butter cookies. I agree, Kat: you're in London, for heaven's sake, do and buy what makes you happy. That's my take on it. Thanks for taking us along.
That's a very reasonable amount for a 3-day stay anywhere, let alone internationally. Good for you Kat as you have earned the right to spend the money you work for as you wish.
VAT - ask at the airport where you can claim back your VAT. You show them your receipts and they will reimburse you. You can also do this in Australia and other countries.
I would be very curious about what you spend on typical voyages within the USA. I would also like to ask if you ever buy items at remote destinations and opt to mail/ship them to home rather than carrying them with you, and how often you would do that.

You're right. You can live on a budget here or live like a king! I.e. you can have a full English breakfast at a greasy spoon for about £7.00 or have the same at a hotel for £17.00! And it's nicer at a greasy spoon!

Fun video. The eggs at Salt & Pepper looked delicious. You’re a thoughtful shopper. Just keep enjoying your travels and life.
Kat - you're a ROCK STAR! You have amazing positive energy and I just LOVE your videos. I'm living vicariously through you right now lol. Maybe when that flight attendant who got food poisoning feels better you can ask him what he ate that made him sick - like a particular London restaurant so we can avoid that lol. Love ya girl! 😊✈
Thank for sharing. I think it’s nice to see what stuff costs in another country. God bless you.
I look for 111's such as the time of 1:11 or 11:11
Happy travels!!
Cheers from Cupertino, California
London is my absolute favorite city! Love the history mixed with modern. Easy to get around no matter the mode of transportation.
I feel like that’s actually really reasonable! You could very easily spend that in a day in some locations even in the states, so I’m impressed!
My per diem for work travel is between $55.00 - $65.00 per day plus mileage or transportation expenses. Your trip expenses are right in line with most companies with traveling employees.
Live your life !!! It helps to know what you spend so I can budget for my own trips !!!
Thank you!! It really fluctuates depending on where you are and what you choose to do.
Simply said, “It is YOUR money!” 😊
These are such special experiences! Spend what you like and enjoy it. Love that you take stuff back to share.
I grew up shopping there but alas I am now living in Canada.
the best show in town watching you when i am eating fish n chips on a cold winters night so much fun what you buy
honestly it does come down to which city you're at, who you're with and what you're do. I've been on trips where I would lock and seal myself until pickup time. then i won't spend a dime. but also I've been on trips where I would over spend and still had a wonderful time.
I love seeing what stores there are, the products and prices in other countries! This is so fun!!!
Just found your Chanel! Love it!! Always wanted to be a flight attendant ❤️
Cheers.
I am from South Africa. Can't see how what you spend is anyone's business but your own. Enjoy your work. I love love your videos.
I live vicariously through your trips and travel so please keep showing what you eat and places you go, I also don’t think for 3 days that’s a terrible amount to spend. I loved the video and hope you post more soon, maybe of another country to show the difference in London and some other countries.
Price-wise on your layovers I mean
I was surprised the grocery items were not way more expensive!
Hi, thanks for sharing with us. I read when you drink turmeric if need to have pepper in.
Kat omg, I can’t believe this but I got my CJO yesterday!!!! Not at your airline (with the one that rhymes with ‘shmelta’ 😄) but I couldn’t have done this without all your coaching and tips. Thank you sooo much!
That's still a great airline! I am so so proud of you!!!!!
@@KatNesbitt thank you SO much for everything! Keep the vlogs coming ✈️
Kate, in London use the Oyster card for the tube. Is easier and better than buy tickets. Also try Tesco, Sainsbury's, Lidl.
M&S and Waitrose are good but their prices are quite high.
Who uses cards anymore? Tap and Go :)
When I went on business trips before I retired I always bought things and food to take home or eat there love your video's.
Yes to Angel numbers. 👼 Save travels Kat. ✈️
I spent 17 days in Switzerland earlier this month, and compared to the cost there, you got a bargain. My cousin lives there, so I didn’t have to pay for lodging, but man is that place expensive! Gorgeous country
My energy drink is always coffee ☕☕. Many times two cups.
🤣💜💜 That was so low! I'm jealous. Need to get healthy and become a flight attendant!
You earn the money so you get to spend the money. So enjoy!
I enjoyed finding out what the cost of doing business requires. There are a lot of expenses and non-cheap options in touristy places.
Honey, I say "treat yo'self" ! You work hard for your money, and are entitled to spend it on whatever you want. Blessings sweetie!
I love the screen saver on you phone! Positivity!🤗
I’m glad you shared it! No judgement over here! 🥰
Chip is such a cutie bear! You make a cute couple!!
I think that there is a compound in black pepper that makes the turmeric more effective (and sadly less tasty).
Omg you lucky person, you’re going on a Dublin trip. That’s my favourite place to visit but I am Irish. You must have had a great trip. Looking forward to seeing your Dublin video🌞
Another great video Kat… love the music you picked… Fly safe ❤️🙏
Huge fan! ..very interesting post, i enjoy the perks of non rev travel I was happy to hear about your bump in pay for working a flight down one fa.
Kat kitty on the prowl mehow
The huntsman pie sounds amazing. I will be in northern England next month hopefully I can find them up there.
That wasn't too bad in my opinion. Love your vlogs Kat!
VAT - ask at the airport where you can claim back your VAT. You show them your receipts and they will reimburse you. You can also do this in Australia and other countries.
A man would never think of $$$ they spend.
You do you Girl!!!
You are AWESOME!!!
I would be very curious about what you spend on typical voyages within the USA. I would also like to ask if you ever buy items at remote destinations and opt to mail/ship them to home rather than carrying them with you, and how often you would do that.
Dear Kat I have followed you for a while now, and I am bad to give comments!... BUT I felt I needed to it today 💅❤️ first of all.... I absolutely LOVE to watch all your vlogs and this was so nice to watch, what I just want to say about money situation and how you spend YOUR money is absolutely fine! And I support you to 💯 I just feel so bad that you ha e to "defend yourself " because the end of the day... You are YOU! and don't put ant energy on negative comments. No one... I mean NO ONE in the whole eorld can not be perfect! But you are perfect in one thing and that is how you are as a person and letting us watch this content! So keep up with the great work you do! All the love from Spain 🇪🇦💯❤️🤗💃💅🌈
Yes please to the domestic one kat!!!!
I would LOVE to see how much you spend on a domestic flight please!!!
Thanks for sharing your trips. Enjoy your week !
Have you ever looked into Athletic Greens (AG1)? I love the taste. I’m not sponsored or get anything from it, but thought you might be interested in checking it out.
Thanks for sharing! I think you can share whatever you like about your life and finances. Everyone has their own comfort level when it comes to their privacy about any part of their life. I hope no one feels “more or less” based on someone else’s finances and how they choose to use it. Yes, to the idea of sharing a domestic trip financial cost video. 🙂
You are absolutely right it is your business. However, in my opinion I think you did really well.
Thank you!! 🥰
I’m right there with ya. It’s totally Kat’s business and she did an awesome job breaking it down. For me, I’m not interested in what she spends because I know that what she brings home she shares with family, friends and coworkers. Her London trips have made me want to dust off my passport and go wander around London, take the tube and see the sights! Thank you, Kat! Keep up the great work!
One of my favs ! Love this . Thank you
You're right. You can live on a budget here or live like a king! I.e. you can have a full English breakfast at a greasy spoon for about £7.00 or have the same at a hotel for £17.00! And it's nicer at a greasy spoon!
You do you ! ITS GREAT YOU CAN SHOP WHILE IN LONDON..ITS YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. 💝
Really enjoyed this video. I agree…it’s your money to spend how you want but it’s cool to see how much things are in Europe compared to here. Great concept of a video…keep ‘‘em coming!!
Yes please make a domestic trip spending video! Cant wait for more content!
Don’t apologize but I am glad you did decide to do this video. I am going to London in October for the first time. If you could do a travel tip video for those who are traveling to London would be helpful. Thanks.
kat in next couple of weeks m and s will start getting there christmas food bits out so you can try them
I’m headed to London later this fall and would love it if you could make a “must do/see” type of video since you’ve been lucky to spend so much time there this summer. ❤️ from 🇨🇦
Thanks for this vlog. You have an amazing week. Safe travels. Ciao.
In case anyone wanted to know, m&s is the more expensive supermarket but there are other supermarkets that are cheaper.
Thank you for this❤️❤️
